Yeah.. but that was a big selling point for pfal. If I remember correctly.. the mogmeister ranting on in a self-described dialogue with whoever.. "why don't ya grow a BACKBONE and stand up for da gweatness of da wordogawd.." I wonder how much substance there really was in all of this..

It was over "eli eli lama sabachthani". If I remember correctly, herr vicster claimed that all the bibles from the bible clearing houses that went to the east said "for this purpose was I spared".. and the ones destined for us poor deluded westerners said "why hast thou forsaken me" merely to sell bibles. the "translators" admitting that what lamsa and herr vicmeister claimed were indeed true.. I just wonder.. is there one single bit of evidence supporting this claim?

Thanks friends! That's probably what's been driving the cats in the house nuts at night..

Nobody's perfect I guess..

In general, I think they don't know or don't care. Maybe they are too afraid to consider what kind of reality all that implies.. Nor do they seem to know or care about rosie's complicity in martindale's situation- that she knew of his "indiscretions" years before they came to light in the lawsuit.. and did little except to encourage his behavior..

Welcome, Horse.. I have of yet still haven't found any way or ex-way *ministry* worth their salt.. at least with respect to financial support..
-
Naw... you said it all.. I was going to be just *slightly* more diplomatic. So Welcome Ken Brown. I was one of those mindless groupies long ago.. Just a few questions if you don't mind.. who are you (or your organization) affiliated with? Any independent honest review of your published personal studies?

sounds like an allusion to a record in Judges.. modern equivalent to a nail and hammer.. my guess anyway..

Inspiration and the inerrancy of Scripture
Ham replied to roberterasmus's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
seems one day, long ago.. it was divorced from its origins.. perhaps the modern "Davids" hope so.. I know a few.. -
Inspiration and the inerrancy of Scripture

Maybe the *inerrancy* of scripture evolved from brutish animalism.. and it does not want to admit its origins.. -
touchy subject but i don't get this hooking up with ex cultists
Ham replied to brainfixed's topic in About The Way
so.. what does this have to do with hooking up with ex-wayfers? Maybe nothing, or everything, depending on one's point of view.. if they are not into my "trip".. for lack of better diplomacy.. to hell with them.. -

Some of us *reverted* to the condition we were in right before involvement with twi.. I picked up the music I abandoned. True, its "dated".. then I got back on the path I was on in terms of education.. but during my way years, I learned a lot of electronics, worked in consumer electronic repair.. toward the end I used the knowledge to get involved with the local ham radio club. I can't say it was an entire waste of a life.. not to mention two children who are successful in life.. would I change anything? Noooooooo.... but now comes phase two (or is that phase 3).. -
Heh..

So.. when is the big shindig? I'll bring the Elderberry wine.. we really need some kind of festival.. I'll even supply the music.. (good of course).. -
I think they had lockstep legalism even in the first century.. whats the difference.. you can read the pattern of the epistles.. paul slowly demanding allegiance and accountability.. I won't cite the references, unless someone insists..

Hooking up with ex cultists.. we need another wienie roast. it's the best disaster one could participate in.. I learned a couple things. 1. I'm not inferior to anybody here.. 2. (or maybe a continuation of (1)) "You are as dysfunctional as me.." -
I think mainly- loy wasn't that smart. Maybe he was just an ordinary thug in tights with an inferiority complex.. It is known that he was jealous of his predecessor.. at one point forbad the use of his name.. I think he knew nobody would give him that kind of allegiance the vicster somehow conned out of people..

heh.. no, its really "cool" the rest of the people around, don't even seem to notice.. I think they are doing the same thing..

Imagine having a major "dream" when one is wide awake.. I think what sets these madmen apart from others.. they take themselves, far too seriously..
-
I like the dreams where I can levitate..

Page 82 of Hawkings "A Brief History of Time", though you can find this information in likely hundreds of other sources.. interesting, no?

I've seen this happen.. A fellow I knew explained that a lot of the "freaks" acid heads and seekers of "truth" went the route of narcotics in an attempt to return to some kind of peace and safety.. some of the great "gurus" either were or became absolute fruitcakes.. like Crowley.. even Newton..
-
I remember that nonsense.. I think it is impossible to sleep without dreams unless somebody wakes one up in approximately fifteen minute intervals.

You forgot the miraculously manicured lawns and *miraculously* oil-free parking lots..
