Off topic? I thought it was on, at least in my strange, out of control way of thinking.. Naw.. this was the picture I had in my mind: "Believer": "Ummph, I'm believing.. (takes a deep breath) I'm believing.. takes another deep breath.. I'm belieeeeving (lungs now well over full mark, believer straining for all it's worth)..." then I found that pic.. I thought oh my: it looked like some "believers" I knew.. I honestly think we were taught not believe, but to be gas bags.. At my most swelled, puffed up moments, I couldn't bring to pass the righteousness of God, or even get the first parking spot in front of Kmart, for that matter..

maybe that's the figure where the last is put first, or is it the first last. Seems it was always about "da ministry", it's elegance, prestige, resources, money..

Congratulations! Good to hear the good news..

Good description of reality. The sycophants always seemed to know who had money, before they even arrived in the area.. I remember one of them being "helped" out of trouble by someone with money and influence.. another one of those surrealistic moments, the sycophant talking to the "money man" in a closed room, loud enough to be heard on the other half of the house. Asked the money guy "Can't we just bribe the judge??" SOB probably thought I was a bump on a log somewhere, and couldn't put two and two together..

Maybe looks more like Jabba..

I dunno.. might hurt the door. Better have nuts, a LOT of nuts..

So wise. Kinda looks like Yoda, doesn't he?

"Super Duper Believer Squirrel" maybe he just needs to pass some gas..

Hmm.. I think for me, the big learning experience was to learn which battles are really worth it.

That's why I'm not filthy rich! I never went CORPS! **ham retreats, kicking himself for missing the "golden" opportunity..**

I dunno about "building your believing" and that kind of thing. The few times that something really happened.. I knew what the outcome would be, before "checking it with da word".. or praying.. or trying to build "believing images of victory". Maybe it sounds "unfair" and all, but I really think God gives you that kind of "faith". I've never been able to build a big enough fire under it by my own initiative. Made me look like some kinda macho huper believer or something though.. looked like muscle, but just wait for me to exhale..

Not exactly what I said. The "system", all the keys, all the stuff.. how much of it actually WORKED? How many times did people carefully frame their "believing" and "details" to carefully fit the keys, and.. nada? How many times did you get the pony, the steamship, the mansion, the 24 carat gold bullion? I think it was a "system" to try to milk the creator of the heavens and the earth.. isn't that what a gambling "system" is? Some way to improve the odds, such that the house HAS to PAY? Abraham tried that with Sodom.. "well, what if there a hundred righteous, what if there are fifty righteous.." sorry, He's smarter than us. Oh yes, I think all prayers are answered. Most of them the answer is "when pigs sprout wings and fly.." :)

maybe a nut that can not be cracked?
-
Really.. what difference is it.. "believing" or gambling.. Both ways, people have worked out some kind of "system" to "beat" the house.. I remember putting my last twenty dollars in the horn, and "believing" for all to turn out for the best.. the odds always favor the house in the long run.. :)

This is the reason gambling has such appeal, and often a dead end career.. some refuse to admit it was a mistake.. will gamble their whole retirement and fortune to try to get the glory of old days back again.

Cute pictures Free. Hey Bump.. maybe it's just the French Squirrels..

Well, even if they take over the house, it can't be that bad. Think of the alternative, a person could come home to find that bears have taken it over..

I read something a Rabbi wrote, can't quite remember his name.. He said something to the effect that "we don't have the same God as our ancestors".. then he said, it wasn't exactly that God himself changed, but our understanding of him. several hundred years ago, their God made the sun rise and set every day.. by Newton's day, their God made the laws that enabled the earth to orbit the sun.

Hmmmph. and you, "I was attacked by a cwazy squirrel.." I remember you. If you tease the squirrel with a bag of nuts, what do you expect??? Hmmm? Hmmph.

Another thought.. did anybody see as much as a decent first aid kit there?

2. Thinks he can have his computer, and eat it too.

Same for me Rascal. Lessee.. in over twenty years involvement.. God and I made it rain once.. I chased a hangover out of a guy once.. he looked AWFUL, and after I prayed he was like a spring chicken.. I've seen more after leaving. My daughter was healed of a cancer that very very few kids make it through. Somehow, when we got the "news".. I didn't panic.. I just kinda knew she would be ok.. but the healing involved doctors, the supernatural, and the support of the community. Without all three I don't think she would have made it. She definitely would not if we were still with the ministry. at least two out of the three avenues would have been cut off.

I don't know about drive by moonings, but didn't the locals put a bunch of plastic flamingos out in front of the college a few times?

I think somebody thought of it first.. at least the birth control part. "Only in California"

You'd get an "A" in "twig" for that one..
