  1. Don't believe her Rum, it's really ALL your fault! Hehehehe .. yep, you know where to find me to give me a kick in the *** for that crack. :) Love ya hon.
  2. Forgive someone when they mess up? Sure. Forget what they did? Never! There's a big difference between the two in my book. I can forgive someone who harmed me, but I will never forget their actions and never let them close to me and get hurt again.
  3. Will give my usual advice here once again. Check out ANY company before you do business with them, sign a contract and give them your hard earned money. The best place I've found to hear from real people who've been ripped off by bad companies and individuals is: http://www.ripoffreport.com Just use the search option the site has and type in the name of the company and see if there are any reports filed. Use your best judgement, there are always the few out there that will file a false report when angry, but if a lot of reports come up, then it's probably better to start looking for another company in the same line if business. Never trust what you read or what their salesman tells you. Research and listen to people who have already done business with the company and make sure they received all the company claimed they had to offer their customers.

    Only at Walmart

Nope Belle, no makeup on either of them. I'd guess they were early to mid twenties and just having the time of their life that night. After a very long and stressful day, I must say they sure put a smile on Jeff's and my faces. I had a neighbor who wanted to dress as a cave woman for halloween one year back in the early 90's. I was a nail tech, so he asked me to do his hands and feet. I have him the full works (free of course) and when we were done he had one killer set of very long, bright red nails and a full pedicure with the same polish on his toes. I may have pics still lying around somewhere that we took of him before they left for the party. He had purchased some of that fake brown fur material to make his skirt and then covered a bra with it to use as his top. He didn't shave his legs either, which just made it all the more unique. The next day he came running over and gave me a huge hug. He'd won a prize for his costume!!! I was so thrilled I was able to help him win. We had so much fun fixing him up that night .. I'll never forget it.

    Only at Walmart

Jeff and I went to WalMart a few months ago. As we entered the store we passed by two umm .. gentlemen .. heading towards the exit doors. Both of us had to do a double take to make sure we were seeing what we thought we were seeing. Two grown men, in kilts, laughing, smiling, holding hands and skipping together. LOL. I *so* wish I would have had a camera with me. They seemed totally oblivious to everyone around them and were having a wonderful and happy time as they ended their evening of shopping. Not that I would now ask Jeff, when he least expects it, if he would like to go skipping thru WalMart. :) Hehe .. always gets him to crack a big smile. I guess that old saying is true. When you think you've seen it all ....
  6. I'm so sorry to see the state of Indiana is still giving out ridiculous sentences to those who kill the residents of that state. 2007 will mark the 30th anniversary of my 1st husband's murder. The perp did a whole 5 years in prison for 2nd degree murder. I more than know what you must be feeling right now David. I had hoped that after all these years, Indiana would have changed and started to get harder on criminals. Your sister's case shows it's still business as usual for them. I'm very angry reading the deal they let him get. It's just not right.
  7. I've been online for 13 years now. I was on TraceChat, on WayDale and here on GreaseSpot. I have this to say about the three forums: From TraceChat to GS, I've watched people post, fight, make up, and agree to disagree. What stood out to me was the healing taking place in their minds as the years passed by. The growth I've seen in everyone has been wonderful to watch. God has done so much for all of us to heal our mental (and physical in a few) wounds that TWI caused us during our years of participation. Welcome to life on your own terms everyone. Take a deep breath, thank God for His help and enjoy the total freedom outside TWI micromanagement. :)
  8. This is solid proof that cults are worse on your mind than drugs. Say NO to cults!
  9. I listen to both kinds of music, country and western. Seth, I think that song was done by Branded. I have it on cassette still I think, but won't have them over here to the new apartment until next week sometime. At that point I can do some searching to find the song and all the words for you if you haven't located them yet.
  10. http://www.cnn.com/2006/LAW/08/29/polygami...t.ap/index.html This may not be as big of news in some areas of the country as it is out here in the west. We've seen more of the destruction he did to the young girls he married off to the old men in his church I think. We've heard the gut wrenching interviews with the few young girls who managed to escape his cult and from the young men who were tossed out in order to make more young girls available for the old men. Being the crime buff I am, I've followed this case for a long time. How nice to wake up today and read Mr Jeffs is in custody in Las Vegas and they are deciding where to send him first, Utah or Arizona, both which have charges against him.
  11. Thanks CW. I have followed this case thru the years via CourtTV, but have been busy with the recent move, so hadn't heard his time is about up. I'm happy to hear they do plan to execute him and carry out his sentence. Very bad man.
  12. It's devil spirits CW. LOL, hey .. YOU said you were waiting for someone to say that and I only want to make ya happy lady. :) Seriously, what is the difference between the meds you take for your head and the ones I take for my guts? They help us have some quality of life and that's what matters most, not the opinions of others who don't and won't ever have to take them. Those who really love you will encourage you to do what's best for you. Tell any naysayers to go join TWI, it will be the perfect place for them. Hehe. I'm happy to hear you are feeling better now. Being sick in any way just plain old sucks a big one. Hope to see ya in chat soon my friend.
  13. As some of you are aware, I went into the ER the other night to start all the medical I need to start to get healthy again. In the mail today was a card from the hospital emergency department. It thanked me for trusting them and was signed by my nurse that evening. Has anyone else ever had a hospital do this after you were seen? I never have and I think it's such a cool idea after getting it. I went to the hospital's website and sent them a note telling them I thought this was a wonderful idea and I really appreciate the card.

    Thank you ALL

Yes, Jeff is so wonderful. He bought a lot of food at the store yesterday, so I now will learn how to eat more than once every day or so. I'm not used to that, but I know in time it will feel normal again. Peace is something I'd dreamed about, but hadn't had in a long time. Sleeping in the living room as I had been all those years, I had to try to sleep around all the noise and I was woken up on the average of once an hour every night. I remember lying down last night in my new bed and feeling all warm and cushy. That was around 9:30 pm. The next thing I know I was waking up and it was 11:30 am this morning! That was the first night in many, many years I've slept straight through. I can really feel the difference and can't wait to get more nights just the same. :) Jeff said he'd woken up once and watched a little TV to go back to sleep and I never moved a muscle I was sleeping so sound. LOL. He told me before he left for work he could see in my face how much more rested I was after just one solid night of sleep. I used to wake up every day and dread living. Today I woke up and looked forward to what the day would bring. I even got an email from a local I post with on a news forum (gamers section of course LOL) and he wants to take me to Starbucks next week for coffee. I had mentioned I'd never been to one and he wants to treat me. :) I'm thrilled to say the least. We're gonna try for next week when he isn't so busy at work. I think I'm gonna like my new life and being able to go places and do the things most take for granted daily that I haven't been able to do in such a long time.

    Thank you ALL

No, David, I'm going to bite you in your knee .. dern tall people anyway! Sorry if I wasn't clear on the medical. I either have to be admitted to thru the ER to get it right away, or wait a month after putting in the paperwork and go thru the approval process. I'm debating if I really want to be stuck in the hospital over just waiting and going to their office for the appointment. I have already talked to my doctor, so he's aware of what's going on and is cool with whichever method I end up doing. The thought of many invasive medical tests and all that I will have to go thru isn't fun. Worse will be if they decide they need to remove another foot or more of my small bowel. I know it's filling with scar tissue again, but have no idea how bad it is this time. I'm leaning towards going to the ER and just doing the application there, but not pressing for an admission and following up later at their office. I'm so weak I would prefer to just relax at the new place for a couple weeks, then start the tests that will totally take all I've got. The peace here is incredible. No yelling, no screaming, no bugs, no mess, a big comfy queen sized airbed to lay on and watch TV .. yes, we had a TV given to us to watch! I have so many years to catch up on to learn what's popular now and who's who. (Then I won't be so dumb and lame in chat when y'all mention popular stars by name.) I have my stereo here too and have been playing music. Of course my beloved Cleo is sitting on my knee as I type this and Elmo (her mate) is sitting on top of the bird cage looking stupid as normal. LOL. I put a little table next to the counter where my computer is so they can get from it to me without help. They are really digging it. The bike is in the closet for now. (Bike and computer were first things put on truck when I left.) We're gonna try to get one of those hang from the ceiling bike hooks for it to spare up some room. Once I get on the meds I need, then I will start to ride a little bit as often as possible and start to get stronger. I see out the window a nice quiet neighborhood behind us I can ride in to avoid traffic on the main roads. My best friend, Jeff, has been my rock thru this. He told me he'd help me get away and take care of me until I could make it on my own. He's done that and I can probably never thank him enough. There aren't many young men out there that would go to this extreme to help an old lady they met online. He's a diamond in the rough.

    Thank you ALL

Those who don't visit chat will have no idea what this is about, as I've never posted about my life openly. I have been in a marriage that wasn't normal and due to no insurance, I've had less than needed health care. I'm now at 80 pounds and very weak. Being too scared to talk to many about what I was going thru, for fear I would be ratted out, I spent 8 years inside the apartment, behind my computer, never saying anything. I finally did start to talk in chat to the wonderful people there. They all have supported me, uplifted me, listened to me whine and were just there, until I finally walked away from the marriage this past week and moved in with my best friend. Now I start the process of learning what a normal life is like again and get the state medical care I'm able to receive since I now have no income. I will make the decision later if I will go to the ER and risk being admitted or just wait the month and do the normal appointment interview at their office to get the medical. Thank you again for your love and support. I'm not really sure if I would have made it mentally without everyone's help.
  17. Meet me in chat Excie. Let's try to get you walked thru system restore while in there. It will reboot you, but I can tell you what to do step by step as I do it (excecpt for the final confirm) on mine. You can then write it down and follow it once out of chat and get your computer reset to it's settings a few days ago.
  18. Yep, use system restore back to before you did the changes Excie. That will take you back to where you were before you changed them. The error msg you got just meant your browser couldn't reach the website, no DNS means No Domain Server, which simply means you couldn't connect to it. I'd say a router was down between your computer and their site or they had it down for changes to be made. You may want to consider getting a new browser too. IE is worthless and catches more trojans and viruses than any of the other browsers. I've been using Opera for years now and never had anything hurt me. I found it to be much more secure. Umm .. Blue Colored Man .. most would be REALLY blue in they had to try to surf in lynx...tab, tab, tab, tab, to where ya wanna go. LOL. Ahh, the good ole days of lynx, veronica and archie! Then I got rid of the dumb term and modem and got a real computer. Then I was forced to learn windows, much harder than Unix, Linux, or freeBSD was for me. (...and find my mouse which was securely hiding under a couch cushion since I'd never had to use it before.)
  19. Let us know how it goes when you get home hon. Will be praying for ya.

Thanks to y'all I had a wonderful birthday. It was so much fun seeing most of you in chat last night and just hanging out with you. Best birthday I've had in years! Sure love all of you. See ya in chat tonight. :)
  21. Umm .. witnessing ranked right up there with caravans in my book. I also would manage to find *some* reason why I couldn't attend twig on witnessing nights. To this day I don't know how I pulled it off that many times and got away with only a butt chewing when they saw me next. LOL. O:-) No need to point out that rust on my halo, I ran out of halo cleaner. There's a sale coming up at Halo's R Us next week and I plan on getting more.
  22. LOL, but I didn't even tell you what I did that offended the guy. Heh, send me a PM if you want to hear the whole story. I've told it many times in chat, so won't bore everyone here by re-telling it. I am still not totally comfy giving away such a unique thing like that in a post, as I still have family that are in TWI. I'd hate for TWI to make their lives any harder due to anything I would say. *sigh*
  23. It happened in 1977 WordWolf. The scream fests started for me as early as 1976 when I wouldn't do exactly as I was told to do by a twig leader. It was a branch leader I offended that booted me out of the entire state though. LOL.
  24. Haha, yep, but how many can say they managed to get themself kicked out of every twig in an entire state? I look at that as a badge of honor. :)
  25. Ahh roadtrips, I remember them well. I wasn't Corps, but lived a couple states radius from HQ for a few years and a few of the twigs/branches would plan caravans there for Sunday teachings. I would sit, with a sweet smile on my face, hear all the plans and nod like a good little Twit. Then the day arrived and I would do one of two things: Call at last minute and say I was running late and I would catch up with them, but of course never would. Why would I want to follow a bunch of cars in a very slow moving line across a couple of states? I could get there faster driving myself, at the real speed limit, cruise control set and be waiting when they finally all pulled in an hour or two behind me. (Oh yeah, I got screamed at royally.) My other trick was to have a desperate need to pull off for a potty stop about a half hour into the trip and I'd motion from my car to theirs I would catch up once done. Again, I caught up and proceeded to pass their slow butts, give a wave and continue on my way, non TWI music cranked on the radio. (That one got me in trouble too, but sure saved me a lot of stress from being stuck in that line of cars traveling 50 to 55 when the speed limit was 65.) I travel at my own pace and stop when I need to. I've been all over this country and the last thing I wanted or needed was someone, who didn't know me, trying to plan it all for me. No thanks. I have my own mind and am more than able to plan my own trips.
