I was wondering what happened to the place where you saw who was in the chatroom before entering.
  2. and if the foo shi*s........wear it.
  3. So, when is the drop dead date on voting?
  4. Bluzeman or Sudo might be cajoled into offering an account.

    Who Would Play You?

I'd LIKE Mel Gibson to take the role, but either the guy to the left of here or I've been told a young Peter Boyle or Mike Tice would be more accurate (for different reasons).
  6. Silly question, Topo Gigio, but are you sure your connectors are stereo?
  7. I would have to agree with the Strange One, there aren't many songs I don't like. But one of my absolute favorites is 30,000 Lbs. Of Bananas. It was a really long way to go for a REALLY bad joke, in other words, right up my alley
  8. Oddly enough, it's called Jackson Browne Solo Acoustic Vol. 1. I'm waiting for the next installment with bated breath. The song you heard was previously unreleased, so you may have heard it that long ago. And now for something completely different........... HERE! (and yes, it IS what you think it's about )
  9. Depends on what you mean by inexpensive, TOTW. I would recommend Musicmatch. You run a mini plug from your tape player (with a 'y' connector) to the jack on your computer soundboard, then you can define which source you're recording. I plan to do all my tapes this way (once I have the time, of course )
  10. Jim, Looking out at the road rushing under my wheels Looking back at the years gone by like so many summer fields In sixty-five I was seventeen and running up one-o-one I don’t know where I’m running now, I’m just running on Running on - running on empty Running on - running blind Running on - running into the sun But I’m running behind Gotta do what you can just to keep your love alive Trying not to confuse it with what you do to survive In sixty-nine I was twenty-one and I called the road my own I don’t know when that road turned onto the road I’m on Running on - running on empty Running on - running blind Running on - running into the sun But I’m running behind Everyone I know, everywhere I go People need some reason to believe I don’t know about anyone but me If it takes all night, that’ll be all right If I can get you to smile before I leave Looking out at the road rushing under my wheels I don’t know how to tell you all just how crazy this life feels I look around for the friends that I used to turn to to pull me through Looking into their eyes I see them running too Running on - running on empty Running on - running blind Running on - running into the sun But I’m running behind Honey you really tempt me You know the way you look so kind I’d love to stick around but I’m running behind You know I don’t even know what I’m hoping to find Running into the sun but I’m running behind Jackson Browne, Running On Empty
  11. Strange One, If you haven't already, get the solo acoustic album by Jackson Browne. It's one of the few live albums I can listen to (because his fans know when to shut the hell up ) . There's also one song on there that's worth the price of admission. The Bells Of Saint Mark's is a song he hasn't performed in about 30 years. Why, I don't know. If you didn't hear it when I posted it, it's on page 181 of our very own Nostalgia thread. (edited for punctuation and number error)
  12. Just an aside, Harry Chapin was one of those rare performers who was better live than he was in the studio. Christine Lavin is another. And last but not least, Jackson Browne (but you knew I was going to say that, didn't you ? )
  13. To my beautiful bride, Happy Birthday. May we spend many more together. (one for each year of being together bliss)
  14. S'ok, Sudo, I thought it was Axel Rose (I guess technically, I should have said ice dancing move, but thought that wouldn't be as well known )
  15. From Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. "Think ya used enough dynamite there, Butch?"
  16. From "The Baltimore Bullet", a fairly awful movie about hustling in general, but mostly about pool. James Coburn (mentor) to Bruce Boxleitner (protege): "I taught you everything you know. I didn't teach you everything I know."
  17. So, Sudo, was I right about the "car part + flower" guess?
  18. Sudo, Could the singer be a car part+ a flower?
  19. Let's not forget two of the all time 'buddy' movies, "The Sting" and "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid". Another one would be Jeremiah Johnson.
  20. I don't suppose her mother's name would be Nanette, would it? As far as the Mystery Movie theme, I'll take a stab with McCloud (since Dennis Weaver has gone to that big dude ranch in the sky, AND it not being necessary )

    Another Joke

A horse walks into a bar. Bartender says, "Why the long face?"
  22. Any movie with the word "Cheerleaders" in the title.
  23. I don't know the show you're talking about, but I happened to like Brisco County Jr.. Bruce Campbell was in another B movie called Army Of Darkness. Over all, it was a pretty bad movie, but there was one CLASSIC scene in it. He was fighting a bunch of skeletons, and in the middle of it, he falls on the ground. Two skeleton hands come out of the ground and start doing a Curly routine on him, ala the Three Stooges.

    Following the Rules

"I think I make him dizzy sometimes." "maybe I am halfbrained." I suppose that's better than being half assed.
