I stumbled on this while looking for something else: "People are more violently opposed to fur than leather because it's easier to harass rich women than motorcycle gangs." Sorry, don't know who to attribute it to.

This is a true story. In Rutherford, New Jersey, there is/was a costume store called The Fun Ghoul. The area has a high concentration of Italian people there. Now, the phrase in Italian means either to go have intimate relations with yourself or make a hasty exit to hades, I don't recall which now. Needless to say, there was much weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth when the shop applied for the sign license. Eventually, the shop won, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Somehow, I suspect it will be a bastardization of what he actually said.

Going with the military theme, according to Richard Marcinko, A Purple Heart is the enemy's sharpshooting medal.

While the blow dryer will clear up the mirror, prevention is generally better. The way to do this is to get some liquid soap, and buff it out on the mirror. It may look ever so slightly hazy, but takes a lot less time than getting the blow dryer out.

Too bad they weren't robins. Cause then, of course, they would be the "Rockin Robins".

Are you looking to name a band? If so: Rhythmatones, or if not........ I always thought UN-1263 would be a good name for a band. It refers to a class of flammable hazardous materials.

Remind you of any organizations you might have run into?

*****Posted by ABIGAIL****** Now since I have been here there has not been one person who has not shot a "fiery dart". " What constitutes a "fiery dart" will vary from person to person. However, based on a conversation I once had with you, I was left with the impression that you got exactly the reaction you were hoping to get - so why complain?

Cathy, Abi and I liked the music for the show so much I bought the soundtrack for it. You don't have to be a fan of the show to appreciate the music. There's also an acoustic version of Overkill by Men at Work's Colin Hay (who also appeared in the show, performing the song). I happen to like the acoustic version better than the original.

Scrubs isn't a movie, it's a TV series. You can get the dvd's now, so you don't have to wade through the commercials. It's a little bit lighter than MASH, but nonetheless, just as funny.

Serious congratulations, Mrs. Ferrel. I wish you half the happiness Abi and I share. (three, that establishes it, right?)

Let's not forget the New Testament occurrence. In Acts, Paul sprang in and called for a light.

How about this for a topic, original versus remake? I prefer singer/songwriters, with few exceptions (one which comes to mind is the Meatloaf/Jim Steinman combination). This song was originally written by the performer. It was later made popular by The Shirelles. HERE!
