  1. ...and was this true Christian behavior on the part of Wierwille? You follow ME or your screwed up? Talk about an ego trip! ...and when you consider how Martindale conducted himself with the loyalty to me ultimatum...it was never about following God...it was all about them.
  2. I think this has been a fascinating thread. I see the bottom line to all of this as "making money in God's name"... ...As soon as a few folks get together (perhaps with good intentions), they decide to "Organize"of course this includes giving themselves a "name" and then hoisting a flag that requires the appropriation of funds... Next thing you know it's a business that provides paychecks...I'm not so sure that this is what Christianity is really about. ...I find it to be a personal journey and not so much about organizations...but that's just me.
  3. A sentiment worth repeating... The damage they did to people cannot be calculated...they destroyed lives...and they continue to this day.
  4. We're talking about the moment of death?...Do you know what most soldiers say when they are lying in the battle field dying?...They call out for their mothers... Forgiveness?...It's not how we die...it's how we live.
  5. It's been over a year since I last looked at Cummin's website where he was selling research papers at at ridiculously high prices...can't find it now...BUT...here's a book that he's selling for about $175 bucks... http://catalog.ebay.com/Demonstrating-Gods-Power-Walter-J-Cummins-1985-Hardcover-/1291241?_fcls=1 correction..."somebody" is selling it for 175 bucks on Ebay... I'll keep looking...
  6. A little old lady who looks at people with daggers and conspires to hold her high position of good living.
  7. A very interesting topic indeed... The reality of music, art and perhaps even the scriptures is that it's a two edged sword. There's the rendering...the actual arrangement of the musical notes and the way they are played... and the listener's perception of it. I contend that two different people can listen to the same thing and perceive it differently. ...according to that person's own "being"...their collective experiences and who they are genetically. Much of the bible is written to the individual...not the collective. I believe that truth is truth...but that we all experience it differently.
  8. Actually, if you think about it...Rosie DOES look like a frog.
  9. Wierwille's bridge to Nowhere consisted of a walkway that led away from individual growth and led to groupthink...the loss of individuality in favor of Vic's ego. All paths led to the mog... ...and his his meat puppet Martindale was more of the same... The bridge builder forgot to tell us that his bridge, that crossed the chasm, led to nowhere... ...and Chris Geer...you can blow it out your ear.
  10. You're more than welcome...I'm hoping others listened to this song as well...
  11. I've been a true deadhead for nearly 40 years!...If you've never appreciated the dead before (Jerry Garcia is the greatest gtuitar player that ever lived), I challange you to listen to this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KpFE_1yzr7w&NR=1
  12. The fact is...whatever they did to me personally is water under the bridge...After 13 years, I walked away on my own...never looked back. I knew they were wrong and that was that. The reason I still post after all this time is because they still exist...I am simply providing another "opinion" of what people are getting themselves involved with. This is all about money, lifestyles and keeping the trains running on time...if they are reducedm to having no more than 7 followers...they will continue...why? because they need to meet the requirments of the IRS to maintain their tax exempt status and live off of the assets. forgiveness?...they have not repented nor will they...they need to be shut down...not forgiven
  13. Thinking in terms of twi's bod asking for forgiveness is almost an oxymoron. I make no assumptions whatsoever that these people even care...or are even Christians ...or for that matter, are even sane. When I consider the very nature of this organization... can good fruit grow from a bad tree? Perhaps it would be more "biblical" to quote the words of Jesus when he confronted the counterfeit religious leaders..."Ye are of your father, the devil" ...and isn't THAT the "unforgivable sin"...
  14. ...Yeah, this guy is as gullible as they come...he buys into the whole shebang. He's pushin' his granpa's package lock stock and barrel... With a name like that...what else would you expect?
  15. Oh...c'mon Mark...wouldn't you like to walk through the grounds with a flame thrower on your back?
  16. Open jam night?...For sure! First we level the floor and put a long bar on each side...then fill the middle with tables. Serve wings and other finger foods for free and charge out the butt for the booze.
  17. Too bad it's so remote or you could rip out the seats and turn it into a really nice blues bar,
  18. The great Richard Thompson...
  19. They certainly don't need a facility like that...not anymore. Wierwille's been dead for 25 years now...The only thing that remains are the assets... and there's millions! They should sell their property in Ohio to whoever offers the best price... and run away with their money to Colorado...There are no more rock of ages...no more crowds...no more followers...except a few suckers. ...Their "International outreach" is now a small mailing list...A personality cult without a personality...cannot exist for very long. They have no evangelical mission...and they know it! They only keep the trains running on time in order to maintain their lifestyle.
  20. ROFLMAO...I nominate this post as one the funniest ever on GreasSpot...
  21. Oh my Gawd, I can't stop laughing!!!... I felt the same way there...they sent me there for about 4 months and I swear that the place was damn creepy, Kinda like Stephen King meets Vincent Price...nothing but bad stuff there... The kids all seemed like the the kids from "Children of the Damned"... The attic was the worst place there...I used to go up there to hide but it was too intense to stay for long... Like being on the movie set for poltergeist
  22. Perhaps the state of Ohio will buy it and turn it into a maximum security prison for sex offenders. ...I think that would be fitting. ...make the sex perverts mow the grass and dig the ditches... ...instead of them ordering others to do it.
