  1. Rascal, it seems to me that John did the right thing by speaking his mind. I'll be honest with you guys, I don't know about this secretive lifestyle in TWI-2 where you have to be a victim, keep quiet, and can't speak your mind and ask questions otherwise you'd be outed and thrown out. Hey, under those conditions, maybe its better if you get thrown out? Old Shakes said "to thine ownself be true". I think its a better lifestyle than complaining about TWI-2 that you're in a prison and can't move. I'd free myself, but that's me. Individual experiences may vary.
  2. I thought this was one of the best threads. I miss Dave Anderson and his thoughtful posts.
  3. Insurgent, The way I did it when I was still in was write a letter directly to LCM. I did this when I had questions on tithing. LCM sent my letter to the research department, and I did get an answer back. I wasn't satisfied with the answer, but at least they did put something in writing. The whole point being let's hear what the BOD has to say before we judge their thoughts. One would think TWI might be supportive of the film, since it shows the very real intense suffering Christ endured, something like TWI has been teaching all these years. Hopefully they'd be willing to put their beliefs in writing. I'd write the letter myself only I doubt they'd respond to an ex-wayfer.
  4. Wayward, I gather you're still in TWI? If so, what did they say exactly? And how about challenging some of the statements? (that's what I would do if I were "still in") For instance, write a short note to whoever you heard disparage "The Passion" and see what the response is, if any? or can you call them?
  5. I highly doubt it. We learned years ago (I think from Sunesis or somebody else) that DM had lesbian tendencies. She supposedly confessed this to Dr. Wierwille sometime. Anyway, I can't see Craig asking his own wife to do a threesome... Maybe some other young gals, but not his wife. I agree with everything Catcup and Sunesis stated on this thread.
  6. No Mike, I haven't. I am not that fond of homework assignments. But I would like to learn more about how I may continue to allow the floodgates of Satan's Prosperity to flow into my life.
  7. So then I am receiving prosperity from Satan because I am disparaging Christians Should Be Prosperous? Hmmm... Maybe if I keep talking, Satan'ill let me win lotto millions?
  8. Who made the statement and exactly what was said? Sounds to me like they need to be reminded of our Lord and Saviour's good graces. I'd write them a letter and give them my two cents, for what it's worth.
  9. Another false accusation against TWI is saying we disparaged "The Cross of Christ". We didn't. We believed all the accuracy and truth there was to be told about "The Cross Christ Bore." We didn't wear gold and silver crosses around our necks because it was viewed (I think now mistakenly) as some sort of celebration for the method of Jesus's execution. (Some Satan worshippers like the upside down cross). But, there's no question that we honored, respected and believed in Jesus's sacrifice.
  10. Am I missing something? When and where did TWI comment on "The Passion"?
  11. God wants me to prosper... Satan wants me to prosper... I am everybody's pal...
  12. Roy, I agree. (there are two sides to everything) actually, it's been said there may even be three sides to everything: your side my side the truth
  13. All depends on your point of view in life. Is the world, and God's creation, such a good thing, considering all the evil that happens?
  14. Mike, I again read the last chapter of CSBP and it goes into "Why Do Non-Christians Prosper?" In a nutshell, here's what Dr. says: The statement above doesn't apply to me. I consider myself a Christian, not a non-Christian and not wicked. Now according to Dr. Wierwille, if I am a godly man (a Christian I presume), I shouldn't be prospering because Satan does not want me to. Add to that the fact that I am not tithing so that means I REALLY should have my foot on the hose. But none of those things are right and true. I am blessed and thankful for God's blessings, whether I tithe or not. Tithing has nothing to do with it. We've all proven this to ourselves.
  15. Hi Mike, That's exactly one reason why I don't believe Christians Should Be Prosperous was given by revelation...because it doesn't work. Let me say that if someone feels it works for them, such as yourself, I cannot dispute your experience. More power to you. But I haven't seen it work like Dr. Wierwille says it should, an immutible law. The bible says to Prove All Things, and that includes tithing. If it doesn't work for someone, they should eliminate it. Hey, even Dr. Wierwille said if his stuff didn't work for you, "kick it." Do you remember that? I've kicked CSBP out of my life, and even have a little test for someone who may be unsure whether it works or not.
  16. Here we go again According to TWI, one reason why Jesus never touched the cross (other than the biblical verses) was because he was so beaten to a pulp, that he literally had no measurable energy left to pick up and drag a cross. He was so beaten he was unrecognizable as a man. Knowing Jesus got the living crap kicked out of Him, for us, would tend to teach genuine Godly humility and thankfulness, for those who wish to see it.
  17. Hi Mike, I will accept your definition of tithing, although I don't agree with it. I don't think I ever said tithing was unscriptural. All I said was, it doesn't work like an immutable law should, like Dr. Wierwille said it was supposed to work. I tried it -- it doesn't work like he said it was supposed to work. That's why I don't practice it anymore, and haven't for years and years, even in TWI-1. Tithing is NOT the key to material prosperity. Never was, never will be.
  18. Hi Mike, Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, and if you really believe this, that's your option. However, since Dr. Wierwille taught that tithing was something entirely different in CSBP, and you have taught us that we should get back to the original Wierwille writings, well ... do you see the apparent problem ?
  19. This is why the false accusation, or assumption, that TWI taught Wierwille took the place of Jesus is bogus and lame. TWI taught "the Word takes the place of the absent Christ". Is Christ absent? spiritually no, but physically yes. So Wierwille must have meant that physically, the Word takes the place of the absent Christ. If it doesn't, if Christ is present, I'd very much like to meet the person who has a personal physical relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. I'd love to have Jesus over for supper. But it doesn't take much of a realization what Wierwille meant when he taught that Christ was absent. He meant physically.
  20. Mike, that sounds like a plan but some things have come up and I'm completely out of time.
  21. Yes, Mike I have. Is there a point you wish to make other than your insulting question that money is my God? Mike I'm all ears. How may one tithe to Jesus Christ himself?
  22. Mike, you said: In the context of coming back to PFAL, as you suggested, I responded because CSBP is part of The Original Wierwille PFAL Writings, and I have certainly strayed from that original teaching. I think this is a legitimate and very important question that pertains to all of us if what you say is true that we need to come back to the original PFAL Writings. In my judgment, this shouldn't be kept private either.
  23. Mike, when I come back to Christians Should Be Prosperous, who should I tithe to?
