Very interesting. I had a similar, though non-healing, experience myself. It resembled what we would think of as being a revelation sort of incident, though I'm not saying that's what it was. It was so strange and startling and anti-TWI, I didn't act on it. If I had, my life what have taken a dramatically different turn for the better. I told my twig leader about it and he told me it was "unrenewed mind". Years later, I discovered on GSC that what I had seen was actually true. It never happened to me before or after that event.

So true.....The purpose of undershepherding was to isolate/insulate newbies from outside influences.

Careful there, Ham. This caveat is posted on their site: "Any volunteer may be dismissed at any time and/or program cancelled at sole discretion of those charged with oversight."

Yeah, that's what VPP taught in PLAF (The Wonder Class). The whole Way "thang" is so chock full of contradictions, you might as well toss the whole thing in the crapper and give it a good flush.

Embarrassed-----that I walked the straight and narrow, thinking that's what all the other good wayfers were doing.

I believe that is derived from the Greek phrase which, when loosely translated, means "kissed the right butts". -

I've heard it stated by someone in the inner workings of the organization, that, on at least one occasion, WOW assignments were determined by throwing darts at a dart-board.....I'm not joking.

It was not by "revelation", if that's what you mean. :B)

I find myself wondering if or how the Hayflick Limit might play a role in all this. -
Wow! I thought the whole thing operated by revelation. hahahahahahahahahaha!

Ha! The missing link isn't missing after all. It's just been chillin' with the homeboys and keeping on the down low. -

Did he want to define God....or be God's peer? -
In cases involving extreme addiction, there can be severe medical consequences from attempting this. I don't recommend it.

The whole process was incremental, by design. With each step you were complimented on your progress and encouraged to advance until, finally.....you reached a stage where nothing you did was ever any good, even though you still maintained the same standards of operation....What was that all about?

Looking back, I think the instructors manual was really our first opportunity to take a brief peek behind the curtain....all the little gems of advice, like telling the students not to teach outsiders about 4 crucified (gee, I wonder why not <_< ), covering for VP's doctrinal slip when he says 'He's coming back as Lord God Almighty!", etc.
