:eusa_clap: :eusa_clap: :eusa_clap: No TV, no reading materials other than ministry publications, no music other that way productions, very limited phone time, not allowed to leave the campus except with express permission - usually a couple hours on a Saturday, days spent working STS - way mag - present truth in study hall and then working crappy menial jobs....read work/study program. Hard edged and dangerous work projects like "harvesting" firewood from the Gunnison national forest. We were under constant surveillance by the corpse coordinator and other way corpse staff. We were isolated from the outside world and even the staff who worked at the campus. We were not allowed visitors or phone calls except for a little time in the evenings or on Saturday. This lifestyle was absolutely horrible. I came close to leaving so many times. The entire process numbs people down to mindless zombies who've learned when to genuflect and spew the necessary cliches to stay mercifully under radar. By the time a person graduates they are changed. This part, except for a few minor details, could well be a description of my experience in Fellow Laborers. Others' experiences may have, of course, been different.

I like having Shout at the top again.

The people looked happy in the footage shot at Jonestown, too.

I think they were/are more concerned with expanding the core base of people that ABS rather than focusing on increasing individual amounts. I'm not sure creating a veneer of legitimacy in the community was ever a high priority.

Nah. It doesn't have to be the first line. Ideally, those are the coolest ones (IMO) but it can be from anywhere in the tune as long as it's easily recognized and doesn't contain the title.(example: ) You also do not need to identify the artist for this thread.

I could be wrong but I think it was colon cancer that did him in.

To tell you the truth, Fellow Laborers pretty well squelched any aspiration I had for a leadership position. Like many others, I was just relieved when the whole fiasco was finally over.

So much for the green and red symbols, I think we need another one that's blue. That one could mean, "Man, this cat really bums me out!" (ie: makes me "blue")

Jesus came into this world so we could have lots of stuff. I know because that's what V.P (You know he wasn't really a doctor, don't you?) Wierwille said in Power For Abundant Living. Yeah, it was all about us getting lots of stuff. And I guess Jesus musta had lots of stuff, too, because Wierwille said so on page 4 of PFAL. "This book, Power For Abundant Living, is one way of showing interested people the abundant life which Jesus Christ lived." But then, later on, we were told it wasn't really about stuff, it's spiritual. Except, if you were the big dawg, like V.P. (You know he wasn't really a doctor, don't you?) Wierwille, it really WAS about stuff. Stuff like fancy shmantzy motor scooters and kick azz old cars. Not to mention, a private jet, 2 motor-coaches, a domestic staff, a bevy of concubines, primo property for hunting and fishing, lots of expensive hunting and fishing gear and dogs and enough booze to float the Spanish Armada. But, as far as I know, he only got one glass eye to take the place of the real one the devil spirits stole from him. So, maybe he didn't have such an abundant life after all.

Come to think of it, I don't remember green beans either. Of course, there's nothing especially memorable about green beans anyhow. Your hubby would be the best source of information on the matter that I know of.
