Flammable/exploding snow: Two points to consider 1.Though it was not a subject well known to the average man, it was certainly not hidden from the ages nor was it only revealed to Wierwille as "God gave it to him". 2.Wierwille said he that if he ever revealed it, the World would be thrown into "chaos". Boy, how this one resonates with me. I left my hometown, at the "request" of the Limb Leader, to serve TWI. That assignment was followed by time in a training program which was followed by yet another assignment, etc.. I regret that decision greatly. All those graduations, births, deaths, birthdays, family reunions, and various other milestones of life went on without me and I can never get them back. "You (don't) know you are in a screwed up cult when you"---------are oblivious to how your future is being permanently and irreparably altered.

I've never been a chest thumpin', "Do as I say!" kind of guy. I'm not sure I would know how to really go about it if I wanted to. There was a lot of pressure put on the men to live up to that stereotype in TWI. If, as a man, you were hopeful of someday being entrusted with a leadership position, it was expected of you to "Take Charge!" This caused a lot of unnecessary stress and strife in marriages. I know it did in mine. I think much of this nonsense started to become widespread across the ministry at about the same time that CF&S was released. I could be wrong. That's just my personal observation. edit: And then there were women who lamented, "Why can't my husband be a REAL man like MOGGIE So&So?" It was very twisted and had little, if anything, to do with what a marriage should really be. But, then again, consider the source.

Have you read some of the non-forum materials here, such as "Destruction of Self", "Actual Errors in PFAL" or "Docrinal Errors in PFAL"? Have you actually listened to the audios such as "Losing The Way", "Through the Fog" and "The Law of Believing--No God Needed"? I suggest you may gain a more comprehensive understanding of this site and its posters if you do so.

Nope. I didn't go to PFAL '77. I did go to Ball State, though, with Fellow Laborers, to work on some event. Maybe a limb meeting. That would have been about the same year. Or, maybe at ROA. I just don't recall the exact situation.

I don't recall ever seeing the video, "Changed" and, yet, I distinctly remember VPW saying, "That's how we get 'em into The Way Ministry" almost word-for-word, including the sly little chuckle. I wish I could remember where, other than "Changed" I heard him say this. Then again, maybe I actually saw the video and don't remember.
