  3. Maybe it will live up to its name and be tame as a dove.
  4. Actually, I do remember VPW teaching something along that line in the AC. I don't know about the blood part but he taught that it was familial. He used that well known scripture from the OT to "prove" it. He said that if you didn't do the right thing spiritually in this lifetime, your descendants would suffer consequences. I guess that seals the fate of The Sowers program, huh? Personally, I think he just used it as yet another method to prod people into submission. He was good at that.
  5. David Be careful using craigslist----lots of scams. I'll keep you in my prayers.
  6. There is a young lady in France named Christelle who has a channel on youtube. She makes music recordings in her bedroom using play-along type software. (All one take and no overdubs) This is her musical response to the news of Obama's win. http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=c3t_Y5veg6g

I'm a bit confused, Cheranne. Those words are the words of Taylor Buzzard, not your words; is that correct?

And people wonder why I've soured on religion.
  10. That's right up there with VP inventing the hook shot. As early as I can remember (early 1970's) The Way was always vehemently opposed to anything that resembled role playing. According to TWI doctrine, role playing opened the "trap door" for devil possession. If there were even the smallest kernal of truth that it was developed for Way Corps use, it would present yet another very large dilemma trying to reconcile TWI practice with TWI doctrine.
  11. Sorry, guys. I really thought this one would jump off the page. It's You Won't See Me by The Beatles. http://tw.youtube.com/watch?v=Moxa0z7BBs8 Who's next?
  12. The bookstore point is one that I, too, used to ponder. In fact, I posed the question ,"why not, if this information is as important as stated, focus some of our efforts and resources into getting these materials into libraries and bookstores?" The answer I was always given was that the materials built upon one another like chemistry 201 is built on chemistry 101, etc. and that the materials had to be viewed in the context of "the class" to be fully comprehended. Of course, this was all just a rationalization meant to drive the sales effort associated with promoting their product, PLAF (The Wonder Class). If you watch much TV (personally I don't anymore), it won't take long before you see an ad for a product that is "not available in stores!". Same concept, really. If you want the product, you have to buy it from us. It was all really just a money making business that used God as bait. Money making schemes come and go every day without a hint of notice from the general populace. So it was with VP & Co.
  13. Perhaps VP & Co. were afraid someone would put their product (ie: "The Law of Believing", etc.) to a real test and discover it was flawed. http://www.greasespotcafe.com/main2/radio/...ohn-juedes.html http://www.greasespotcafe.com/main2/editor...god-needed.html

  16. Potato said this on "The Valley Of Human Need". "I just hope that if I hold out my hand with empathy when someone needs it, it'll give them the strength to carry on."
  17. "When I call you up, your line's engaged". When I first heard this song as a teenager, none of us had ever heard that particular expression before. I guess that's why it always stuck in my head and I considered it "recognizable". If it's too obscure, someone please jump in with another.
  18. So often when the subject of Jonestown comes up, the question that is raised is whether we could have gotten to the point of doing what the people at Jonestown did. It's a valid question, of course. But,in a sense, I think we had already gotten to that point in regards to our communal way of life and "group think". The question for me is whether upper leadership, such as VPW or LCM, might have taken a path similar to that of Jim Jones if the situation had presented itself. There is no way to know for certain. The parallels that exist in our way of life and theirs, though, are quite alarming.
