  1. Rom 9:1 I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost, Rom 9:2 That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart. Rom 9:3 For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh: Rom 9:4 Who are Israelites; to whom [pertaineth] the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service [of God], and the promises; Rom 9:5 Whose [are] the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ [came], who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen. Rom 9:6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they [are] not all Israel, which are of Israel: Rom 9:7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, [are they] all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. Rom 9:8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these [are] not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. Rom 9:9 For this [is] the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sara shall have a son. Rom 9:10 And not only [this]; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, [even] by our father Isaac; Rom 9:11 (For [the children] being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;) Rom 9:12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. Rom 9:13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. Rom 9:14 What shall we say then? [is there] unrighteousness with God? God forbid. Rom 9:15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. Rom 9:16 So then [it is] not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. Rom 9:17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth. Rom 9:18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will [have mercy], and whom he will he hardeneth. Rom 9:19 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will? Rom 9:20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed [it], Why hast thou made me thus? Rom 9:21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? Rom 9:22 [What] if God, willing to shew [his] wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: Rom 9:23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory, Rom 9:24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles? Rom 9:25 As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved. Rom 9:26 And it shall come to pass, [that] in the place where it was said unto them, Ye [are] not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God. Rom 9:27 Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved: Rom 9:28 For he will finish the work, and cut [it] short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth. Rom 9:29 And as Esaias said before, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, we had been as Sodoma, and been made like unto Gomorrha. Rom 9:30 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith. God's plan and direction for man to obtain righteousness, sanctification and salvation are clearly and absolutely defined by GOD on his terms and not man's terms, viewpoints and philosophies and self proclaimed and professed doctrines. He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for hewing out their own doctrines and perverting His ways. Jesus Christ instructing His disciples before sending them out to preach and teach Salvation and the Truths and Holiness of GOD: Mar 6:11 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city. God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah they had free will choice to chose what they believed and acted upon. Man can only be close to GOD on God's terms. His answer to their terms was their complete and utter destruction. GOD doesn't accept man's pluralistic and universal viewpoint He allows them as He in His Love freely gave us free will choice to accept His Will and Ways or Hew out our own. No one ultimately will win standing against GOD. His mercy and Love is great and vast but He justice and equity is kept in abeyance for a season...not forever Hsa 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. Rom 9:31 But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness. Rom 9:32 Wherefore? Because [they sought it] not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone; Rom 9:33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. God is absolutely Holy in all aspects! He is thoroughly and throughly clean, purely pure, Unblemished, blameless, and without ANY perverseness. In Him is no darkness nor shadow of turning. When one hews out his own doctrines or perverts his own way and opposes GOD, GOD gives him up eventually to his own devices and allows his own blindness to remain, but only after GOD in His great Love and Mercy has pleaded and constrained each one personally to return unto Him; just as Abraham besought GOD to save any righteous man in Sodom and Gomorrah. Eze 12:2 Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they [are] a rebellious house. (...for our learning indeed) He who hath eyes to see, sees and sees GOD. He who hath ears to hear, hears and hears GOD!!! Understanding GOD is by choice and deliberate effort and simple to the willing: 1Cr 1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; Eph 4:14 That we [henceforth] be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, [and] cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; Jam 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. Mal 3:6 For I [am] the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. Job 5:13 He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong. 1Cr 3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

  3. There You go ((((Rummy))))!!! Bonn Appetit!!! Traditional English Rib Roast With Yoreshire Puddings Piece of standing rib or sirloin Beef dripping or lard Potatoes & parsnips Salt & pepper Meat must be marbled or wrapped in a layer of fat. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Place meat, fat side up, in a shallow roaster (on a rack if available). Season meat and spread with fat. Roast a 450 degree oven for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 350-375 degrees. Cook for 20 minutes per pound plus 20 minutes. Baste every 20-25 minutes. Do not add water. Peel potatoes and parsnips and cut into large chunks (allow 2 pieces of each per person). About 1 hour and 15 minutes before meat is done, add chunks to the fat in the roaster and coat well. If desired, fat can be drained off into another roaster and the vegetables cooked separately. Cook with meat. Turn every 25-30 minutes. When done, remove meat and vegetables, drain off fat and make gravy with the meat residue in the bottom of the roaster. YORKSHIRE PUDDING: 2 eggs Flour Splash of milk Cold water Pinch of salt Make while meat is resting. Beat eggs. Add enough flour to make a paste (should look a little stringy!). As soon as the meat is taken from the oven, increase heat to 400 degrees. Put about 1 tablespoon of fat from meat into each section of a patty tin. Put tin in oven to get hot. Meanwhile, add milk and salt to paste and beat well. Add enough cold water to make a thin batter and beat well. Pour into patty tins. Cook for 20 minutes. Should rise well, be light brown and crisp and be hollow in the center. These used to be used at the start of the meal with gravy made from the meat residue. This was to help fill everyone up so they would not need so much meat. It is also possible to cook the batter in the original roasting tin after draining off some of the fat, then cut into pieces.

  17. Peppermint Bark It's a perfect homemade holiday gift. step 1: Gather ingredients You'll need: peppermint^1^ candy (Candy canes, sticks, whatever you can find that's cheap and tasty.) 1 pound chocolate (dark, semi-sweet, or milk bark) 1 pound white almond bark Peppermint extract step 2: Prep pan 9x11 inch pan Line your pan with waxed paper. It should curl up to protect the sides, too. Crease the corners so it behaves. step 3: Crunch peppermint candies Crunch up your peppermint (or other favorite) candies into small bits. I used a food processor, but you could use a blender, a plastic bag and heavy whacking object. step 4: Melt chocolate with a few drops of peppermint extract in it if desired Chop your chocolate (the dark stuff) into smaller chunks, and add to a '''dry'''^1^ microwaveable bowl. Microwave in 15-sec bursts, stirring between. Total time will vary step 5: Pour Pour your smooth, melted chocolate into the waxed paper-lined pans. Use the heat-proof spatula to spread it evenly about the pans. You want it to be about 1/4" thick.… and sprinkle with peppermint candy to help secure the next white almond bark layer. step 6: Melt and add white almond bark with a few drops of peppermint extract added if desired Chop the white chocolate into meltable chunks, add to a dry microwavable bowl, and microwave in 15-sec bursts, stirring between. (Yup, same as the regular chocolate.) Pour the white almond bark onto the chocolate bark layer step 7: Sprinkle with candy As soon as possible, sprinkle your crushed bits of peppermint candy over the still-soft white almond bark. Press large pieces down a bit to make sure they stick. Set step 8: Chop, serve, and store Remove the entire chocolate brick in its waxed paper wrapper from the pan, and set it on a cutting board. Gently peel off the waxed paper. Use a large, thin, sharp knife and cut into squares
  18. Sandbakkels (A Norwegian Cookie) Cream together: 1 C. Butter 1 C. Crisco shortening Add: ¾ C. White Sugar ¾ C. Brown Sugar Cream together and add: 2 Eggs Gradually add: 5 C. Flour Ground Cardamom to taste: 1 or more tsps Almond extract to taste as well can be added 1 or more tsps ( I rarely put almond in Sandbakkels as I am a cardamom addict: I put 2 to 2 and 1/2tsps of cardamom alone in this recipe. Taste the dough and the cardamom and decide how much you want to add; the same applies with the almond extract. (I buy it in the pods and grind it in a pedestal and mortar. I keep it frozen when not in use, as it is more potent and fragrant this way as opposed to buying it pre-ground and as it is a costly spice the fresh pungent pods really enhance the flavor.) Chill the dough overnight and press thinly and evenly into Sandbakkel Tins and bake on a cookie sheet pan. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown. Invert the tins while they are still warm and carefully jar them from the tins. Before you reuse the tins they need to be cleaned by washing and drying or thoroughly wiping them free of crumbs with a cloth/paper towel. I usually dry them in the warm oven inverted on a cookie sheet in my final clean up. Sandbakkels are worth the extra effort and sore fingers Here is a link to the Sandbakkel Tins: They generally are about $10.00 /24 tins http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=htt...UNA_en%26sa%3DN Pecan Tassies The Crust: Cream together 1 C. Butter and 6ozs Philadelphia Cream cheese Add: 2 C. flour and Chill 1 hour The Filling: Beat together: 2 Tblsps melted Butter (Cooled) 1 and 1/2C. Brown Sugar ¼ tsp Vanilla Extract 2 large Eggs Press the dough thinly and evenly into mini muffin tins or mini Sandbakkel tins http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=htt...UNA_en%26sa%3DN Sprinkle with a pinch of chopped Pecans. Fill with filling mixture about 1/3 full and sprinkle the tops with more chopped Pecans. The easiest and cleanest method I have found to fill the filling into the tins is by injecting with a syringe from a doctor or pharmacy or a flavor injection syringe. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes; then reduce your oven to 250 degrees and bake for 10 more minutes depending on your oven. I use this with my oven >Bake at 350 degrees for 25 or more minutes until the crust is golden brown
