  1. so in zero dimensions God is nowhere. creates a universe, bam, dude's everywhere
  2. God apparently lives outside of time and space if the key to time is lost is God locked out? "Help us Obiwan err, Dr Who, you're our only hope . . "
  3. I think it was the 8th doctor I saw last. so, so very very true
  4. I find it plausible to consider 9, 10, 11, maybe 12 dimensions. but zero dimensions? maybe Dr. Who could explain it. . .
  5. some folks have adopted that "twi created identity" -- and I could never imagine them being anything else.
  6. I don't know that a will implies anything cognitive. Some people seem to just decide and act and never consider or ponder. "a place before thoughts occur" - very interesting phrase. like a subconscience? impulse or instinct? (Freudian slips? ) that feeling in your tummy, could it have been a reaction against the way abortion was described in twi? against the attitude and the way they presented it? They were always condescending and such when they spoke. Could one feel threatened by them because of the controlling words and instinctively rebel; do/think the opposite of what they say because of some inherited trait? I don't think people naturally do/think what others tell them too, unless they have some motivation to do so. "authentic self" or soul makes it sound like there is more to us then our physical being. maybe that's not what you mean?
  7. well I'd never heard of it. wikipedia suites me fine
  8. this was even funnier the second time around. :biglaugh:
  9. so it's like a battle of wills then, yours vs. theirs?
  10. they shoulda got commodores . . .
  11. can you site conservapedia?
  12. I love wikipedia as quick reference. There's usually links at the bottom of the page for reliable references.
  13. Isn't it an assumption that there is a "self at your very core"? How could you separate anything from experience? The moment you are born, or conceived, maybe sooner, you have experiences.
  14. Now isn't that the purpose of philosophy? (self awareness?) Just reminded of twi's take on "beware of vain philosophy" where all philosophy is bad, so don't even look at it.
  15. reminds me of this author for some reason: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arlie_Russell_Hochschild
  16. would you say this "authentic-self" is strictly a religious concept? we all conform our minds to something (culture, workplace, family, friends etc.). Isn't "self" comprised of our genetics and experiences? If twi was our experience, wouldn't it be part of our "authentic-self"?
  17. crap is a type of fertilizer
  18. I listened to a twi mom talk about this verse awhile back. Her daughter had left twi. The mom was claiming this verse as a promise of god and therefore her child will come back to twi. At the time, it made me red in the face and I may have had to leave the room. What's more stubborn than a twi mom? Her daughter eventually went back to twi. Someone mentioned this verse recently. They used it by saying kids are each born a certain way; they are each different individuals. Parents are to train them according to their individual personalities. I think more was said but it was so strikingly different than twi. I had to laugh.
  19. br00ks got screwed and I was thinking a lot younger then those folks Johns0n left? cool.
  20. ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil what's funny is they always focused on "ye shall not surely die" people want to be their own god, vpw said it was okay.
