  1. there can only be 2 at any given time . . . the master . . . and the apprentice . . .
  2. sorry to hear the excitement is over, for now. I got a quick phone call just now "Hey, Manny got suspended 50 game for steroids. Just wanted to let you know. Gotta go bye"
  3. Well, they do have backpack sprayers with round-up. but, now that you point it out . . . it was an opportunity to grow spiritual and I blew it!!
  4. I like mowing grass. I'm a lawn guy. oh, I once had to weed Wierwille Road. The actual road. Make sure grass wasn't growing out of the cracks in the asphalt. I did enjoy the calm work all day alone.
  5. Haven't the sox always had trouble with the rays? It just didn't matter until after last season. I'm glad they're finally competitive. It does seem the sox have trouble with the rays and the west coast. Maybe i should move to florida, the rays stadium always looks half empty. You'd think it would be packed after last season.
  6. well that's the other part, who should I be? Am I supposed to drive myself to be something? Should I be concerned with it? If we can become "anything", what's a "true self"? Wouldn't that be something that could change all the time? Couldn't that something I just think I have control over/make the decisions?
  7. he, I find that there isn't much that doesn't trigger some twi memeory/attitude/"mental convulsion". twi is a bit of a constant with its tentacles on everything.
  8. how many times do you see people becoming like their parents even when they don't want to? could you ever stop acting like you came from the culture you were raised in?
  9. twi never defined "soul", at least it didn't make any sense. One must conclude it doesn't really exist. I can understand a former self, if you came to twi. Otherwise, twi is yourself, and that's what must be suppressed.
  10. I'll send you a PM.
  11. I don't know. Maybe someone else does. Just wondering how married gays/lesbians could follow these "male-favored doctrines". They could never pull the gender card.
  12. Isn't that the same standard for children and parents?
  13. Under the wayfer system: If you leave twi/adhering to vpw beliefs, the adversary will attack your life and eventually kill you, your kids, and your goldfish. Worst of all, he will take your eternal rewards, and you won't get to ride on an eternal Cushman. You'll be scrubbing toilets and choping firewood nonstop forever, with an already renewed mind of course. Now, the adversary can't take your eternal life, no matter how hard you try to rid yourself of it. Playing bumper golf carts for eternity can only be enjoyable for so long. And wearing crowns is sooo last millenium. So, since wayworld is an eternal given, was anyone really scared of death? Or at least, was scared at first, but after a few years of this malarky, just didn't give a hoot? Didn't anyone play chicken with the adversary?
  14. well, vpw died of cancer and that didn't bother anyone. this is a new, dynamic church. " . . . no, no, what we meant was a spiritual debt . . ."
  15. doesn't he work two jobs to support his kids? why would a cheap organization like twi support him?
  16. Happy birthday Roy!
  17. have you identified more steps than 2?
  18. can't they be sued if they do?
  19. no no, I wasn't trying to help you. I have no help to offer.
  20. so does this stuff you mention not happen in gay marriages?
  21. some of us don't remember a time prior to twi, which is why i'm skeptical about your therapists theories. forget I asked.
  22. so you guys think they should outlaw marriage someday?
  23. ah, you must be a reese's piece's fan.
