  1. No. This one might be a bit tougher. Here's a longer exchange: "Mr. Gardner, uh, my editors and I have been wondering if you would consider writing a book for us, something about your um, political philosophy, what do you say?" "I can't write." "Heh, heh, of course not, who can nowadays? Listen, I have trouble writing a postcard to my children. Look uhh, we can give you a six figure advance, I'll provide you with the very best ghost-writer, proof-readers..." "I can't read." "Of course you can't! No one has the time! We, we glance at things, we watch television..." "I like to watch TV." "Oh, oh, oh sure you do. No one reads!" George
  2. Under the cover of night She crawls into sight Her skin is cold china white She's a dark angel wearing dark glasses Dark shadows under long false lashes The night exposes the cracks She wears her makeup like wax To hide every scratch Cause she a dark angel riding dark horses Sitting pretty in her dim lit covers George (same "theme," by the way)
  3. Something Wild Melanie Griffith Working Girl George
  4. "I like to watch women doing little domestic chores." "You came to the right town." "Why do they call you Diz?" "Because I used to work at Disneyland." "No, really." "That's really. Don't you believe me?" "No." "Why not?" "You don't look like someone who enjoys making other people happy." George
  5. I googled it. I remember Gene Barry being in the show, but I don't remember his character being a millionaire. George
  6. Human, WW and I don't mean to come down on you. It's just that, just because a movie did well at the box office, not everyone is familiar with all the lines. Don't take it personally if no one gets your clue. :)/> George PS If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say the movie is "Scent of a Woman," with Al Pacino making a comment about his blindness. I suspect, though, that I made the same guess when you posted the quote earlier.
  7. The ONLY reason that line seems familiar to me is BECAUSE you've posted it before. But I don't recall the movie. I may have even SEEN the movie. But this line does not make me remember it. Sorry. George PS: I've never seen "Pulp Fiction," so unless the quote involves "going medieval" on someone, I won't recognize it. I've seen "A Few Good Men." But the only lines I would immediately recognize would be "You can't handle the truth!" and something about Tom Cruise winning a set of steak knives if he settles another case out of court.
  8. Bruno Kirby City Slickers Helen Slater George
  9. A color/car theme, I see. "Big Yellow Taxi" by Joni Mitchell Under the cover of night She crawls into sight Her skin is cold china white She's a dark angel wearing dark glasses Dark shadows under long false lashes George
  10. "A Little Help from My Friends" All the leaves are brown... George
  11. I imagine that I've seen the show, but if it predates "Honey West" it's got to be pretty early 60's, when I was just a lad. George
  12. Cuss-blocker got you! (Actually, I always thought the word was "baddest," anyway.) Here's a similar song: Uptown got it's hustlers / The bowery got it's bums George
  13. "...Well, who is on our side?" "Six hundred million screaming Chinamen." "Last I heard, there were a billion screaming Chinamen." "There were." My favorite part of the movie. "Red Dawn" George
  14. That would be Gene Barry. And I believe you're right about the show. I seem to remember a made-for-TV movie several years back that brought together a LOT of stars from the old Western TV shows. Gene Barry, Doug McClure, Jim Garner... Anyone else remember tht? George
  15. "King of the Road" Well, life on the farm is kinda laid back; ain't much an old --- --- like me can't hack... George (deleted words are not cuss words but give away part of the title)
  16. The only song I know with Green Lantern in the lyrics "Sunshine Superman" by Donovan Well now way back in the Bible Temptations always come along There's always somebody tempting Somebody into doing something they know is wrong George
  17. "White Rabbit" (Not the last line) Ahh, look at all the lonely people... George
  18. But... "I Get a Kick Out of You" (Not the first line) Instead of being my deliverance, she had a strange resemblance to a "cat" named Frankenstein George
  19. This late 50's-early 60's show originally was about two cardsharp brothers. Later, a cousin and another brother joined the show. No more than two of the "family" ever appeared together in an episode. George
  20. Robert DeNiro Raging Bull Cathy Moriarty George
  21. "The A-Team" Dirk Benedict ("Face") was in Battlestar Galactica and guested on Galactica 1980 before the A-Team Dwight Schultz ("Howling Mad Murdock") was in Star Trek the Next Generation and guested on Star Trek Voyager (along with the movie Star Trek: First Contact) as Reg Barclay Mr. T ("BA Baracus") achieved stardom opposite Sly Stallone in Rocky 3. And the A-Team movie did pretty well. :) George
  22. Some of these quotes seem vaguely familiar, but nothing really rings a bell. George
  23. I imagine that this is a version of "Sleeping Beauty." George
