  1. Matthew Broderick Glory Cary Elwes George
  2. I hope the first clue isn't too obscure. George
  3. Thanks, Tom. Pretender America. No, wait... "Air America." George
  4. Robert Redford The Natural Darin McGavin Geroge
  5. It's been a long time since I met Research Geek (I doubt he remembers); but I thought he was pursuing an advanced degree in Aramaic at U of Chicago at the time (ca. 1980). Whether or not he had an advanced degree before joining TWI, I would consider him a scholar. I imagine Catcup would, too; perhaps it was spousely modesty that she mentioned someone else! George
  6. James Earl Jones Coming to America Don Ameche George
  7. I agree with Raf, Ca D, but I want to make sure you know we're not trying to discourage you from posting. Sometimes it just takes a little while to think of a good clue for a syllable or syllables. (And then it can be REALLY frustrating when you can't find a picture for it!) George
  8. I think it's a PRE-school, Tom. This is getting to be like those "diacrostic" puzzles in a crossword puzzle book: figure out a clue, figure out the puzzle from the few clues you actually get, and then figure out the other clues by reverse engineering. I think the puzzle-posters are just getting lazy. George
  9. The Mummy Brandon Fraser George of the Jungle George
  10. Thanks. In the Nostalgia Thread, everyone kind of hints at the answer to the clues, but sooner or later the actual answer is given. Please show the same consideration to those of us not "in the know." George :)
  11. Here's an idea. How about we play a game where someone gives a line or lines from a song, and then SOMEONE GUESSES THE SONG AND THE ARTIST! George
  12. Unfortunately, those lines could have been in a dozen movies. I'm glad WordWolf got the right one. George
  13. I imagine I've seen Mark Ruffalo, but I have no idea who he is. And I don't appear to be alone in that regard. Maybe Dreamer ought to take the next step. George
  14. Hmmm. Pooh didn't come up on my work computer. Double entendre intended. George
  15. Sorry I missed this earlier, Andy. (My server at home has been acting up.) I hope you had a great birthday, and wish you many more. George
  16. Andre Ware was the only Cougar in recent memory to win the Heisman, but it's not helping me with this one: dredds/rastas dough ant ware/andre/cougar/heisman alan/ladd/shane George
  17. Since Paw's up, I suppose Tom's post was a simple exclamation. (Ay, Chihuahua!) George
  18. Umm...no. Here's anothr line: The guy was killed in an auto accident! I looked it up! He was driving in the Yukon, in a pink convertible, to visit his brother who's an ex-con named Frances, when a tractor trailer comes along and decapitates him. You know what that mean, it means he doesn't have a head. How am I suppose to write for a guy who doesn't have a head? He's got no lips, no vocal cords. What do you want me to do? George

    Texas

I'll be there and hope to bring the Countess, as well. She makes a great potato salad, by the way! George
  20. Finally, one I know: "Galaxy Quest." You have beautiful eyes. Ooh, they're nothing compared to my t!ts. George
