  1. Okay, to wake the rest of you up (and to move this thread to the top -- so there, Sudo, nyah, nyah!), here's one that SHOULD give it away: My father hung me on a hook once...ONCE! George
  2. If I were to make a wild, wild guess, I'd say it's a western. B) George
  3. I doubt tht this is right, but could it be "Mississippi Squirrel Revival" by Ray Stevens? George
  4. When I was young (pre-teen), I had a few recurring nightmares, involving either my being chased or being abandoned. They just vanished; I don't know why. I do, occasionally, have a "boogeyman" dream; but they are usually presaged by my inability to turn on the lights. I know then that it's a dream and either wake up or "direct" the dream to something more interesting. I occasionally have the "back-in-school" dream, where I'm not sure how to get to my next class. My last real class was 25 years ago, so some things linger quite a while. A more recent variant of that dream has been my coming to a band rehearsal (or concert) and being unable to find my instrument or the music. I occasioanlly also have "bathroom" dreams, where I'm looking for a rest room. I doubt there's much psychology involved, because when I wake up I really DO have to use the bathroom! And, yeah, Chef. Sometimes I dream I'm naked in public. At least nobody's laughing!! George
  5. Interesting choice of words... :D Actually, it wasn't bad, though I didn't feel like clapping along. George
  6. Which means, TOTW, that you get to give the next clue! George
  7. I don't recognize it at all. Which is odd, if it's been done several times. George
  8. It's an 88 Magnum. It shoots t'rough schools! George
  9. I agree with hiway about Fizzies. The carbonation was all they had going for them. They tasted awful. I think his "new" batch was probably the same, he just might not remember how they really used to taste. :( George
  10. Raf likes to take the weekend off. He'll have something for us soon. George
  11. Sounds like "Pirates of the Caribbean" to me. George
  12. Obviously we're on "autoedit." That's not what I typed, of course. I remember a few months ago we couldn't type "Pe$*@!ta Aramaic" or "$*@!ake mushrooms." George And apparently, we can't again!
  13. Hiway was correct, of course. Though most people remember Diana Rigg as Emma Peel, she was preceded by Honor Blackman as Catherine Gale in early B&W episodes. Diana was replaced by Linda Thorson as Tara King (my personal favorite) in the last season of the original Avengers. Joanna Lumley played Purdey in "The New Avengers" for two seasons in the mid-70's. All opposite the unflappable Patrick MacNee as John Steed. Honor Blackman was also, of course, wimp Galore in "Goldfinger." Diana Rigg was Tracy Di Vicenzo in "On Her Majesty's Secret Service." The latter film was the only to star George Lazenby as Bond, and the only time Bond actually married. (Of course, "Tracy" had to die.) When "The Avengers" first aired in the States, I thought it was about the Marvel super-hero group. I was disappointed to find out otherwise, but I grew to enjoy the show immensely. The 1998 film was okay, but a bit of a disappointment. George
  14. What do these four women have in common? This should help: Listen only if you can't guess George P.S. What else did the first two have in common?
  15. I don't recognize Rick's song, but it sounds like Steely Dan (famous for the creepy "Rikki Don't Lose that Number"). Kathy's song is by the Byrds, though. George
  16. Sorry. I wasn't paying close enough attention. I thought Doojable got the clue, not Chas. (I didn't see Chas sneak in!) Chas is up, of course. George
  17. So, what we're saying is, Kathy stumped HERSELF? George Where's a "smack" smiley when you need one?
  18. Well, since Dooj got Flow's clue, and Raf got Dooj's, I guess we go with Raf's: "So this is how liberty dies. With thunderous applause." I don't recognize it. George
  19. Well, I don't know the movie OR the TV show. But by posting this, I've put the Nostalgia Thread back on top! George
  20. Just thought I'd bring this back to the top. I still don't recognize teh movie, though. :( George
  21. Just for fun, you might check out the TV show "Supernatural." (But don't tell your Branch Coordinator!!) It'a about a couple of brothers who go around stopping demons and such, usually taken from old legends and folklore. There have already been episodes about the hook guy on lovers' lane, "Bloody Mary," and a haunted scarecrow. And they drive around in a 67 Impala! George
