Except Hubbard didn't pretend to be a Christian or that Scientology had anything to do with Christianity, unlike Jim Jones and People's Temple, David Koresh and Branch Davidians, Jehovah's Witness, and Hebert and Garner Ted Armstrong with Worldwide Church of God, or VPW and TWI which made such a claim and were more deceptive.

Revival? Made me think of a parody of Robin Mark's song. Prepare ye The Way, Prepare ye The Way of the Lord Wierwille.Sorry if he is offended by this. Country-Western with Irish jig.Robin's songs are from Integrity Music(now part of David C. Cook Ministries).

the last episode was about depression and suicide. Yes Ron Hubbard's book Dianetics explains everything, just like PFAL and it supplemental"collaterals" were all you need to understand life. What .BS.... Hubbard was egotistical like Wierwille, could do no wrong, Scavilage is like Martindale and Geer, authoritarian bullies.

DWBH aka RD saw the hypocisy in TWI when he was Trunk Leader in the 80's. He could have created his own splinter group but had the courage to reject everything that VPW taught. I have respect for Ralph, sorry it costed his marriage to Lori. Wish him well in his life.

As for number 3, some Jews and Gentiles were literate and could read transcripts/texts of Scripture in Hebrew, Aramaic, Koine Greek, and Latin, but were ordained clergy, monks, and royalty/aristocracy, but you are correct, most could not read. You also are correct that Logos(wisdom) always refers to Yahweh/God the Father or Jesus Christ.

actually, I prefer Thomas instead of Tom or Tommy

Grace, you have to have a wacky sense of humor to survive these days. Some of my friends say I have entered into my 2nd childhood, but I don't think I ever left my first one. As Patsy Cline would say(and Ross Perot), I'm crazy.

Grace, wrong forum. Tonight's episode is about a married couple(Sea Org, Scientology's version of Way Corps) and suicide(husband) because of depression

Episode 2 is on tomorrow night

Grace, Mike believes Wierwille was misunderstood and bullied by denominational clergy who were jealous of him. He and Jonitham are angry st GSC for exposing errors that VPW made, both doctrinally and behavior wise. Personally, If I were Pawtuckett, I would kick them off here for being trolls.

Silly, girl. VPW and LCM took over because Jesus was too busy in heaven, so Christ made them his personal assistants.

VPW borrowed/plagarized teachings from Bullinger, Stiles, Leonard, Clark, Daily, Lamsa(maybe Errico), Jones, Torrery, Watchman Nee, Austin-Sparks, JW, Armstrongs, etc. He did not come up with an original thought.

Did you meet Wierwille or take PFAL? How does your post relate to TWI? I am confused

The ranch the kids were located was a run down horse ranch, even worse than Gunnisson

Wish Leah and Mike would interview TWI ex-members and see the similarity

Season 2 begins tonight and talks about sexual abuse of adults and children. Shades of TWI!

Farewell Rosie, farewell rosie. farewell rosie, we are kicking you out. merrily we run along, run along, run along, merrily we run along out of New Knoxville

Maybe Roz and Donna are Timelords,

Nope

also meant to say the Brian Bliss was TWI's version of Paul Baloche, Chris Tomlin, and Michael Whitakerr Smith(but they had better theology than TWI)

Jean is worried that Rosie and spouse Donna will fire him if he rebukes them and the rest of the board

While early Pressed Down, Good Seed, and Selah(the Paul Vergillio version, not the South African group) were ok, and Early Joyful Noise up and including America Awakes, after 1977 it became monotonous and un-interesting. BTW, I am playing WOW Music(no relationship to TWI) from Vineyard , Alleluia Music, and Hosanna Integrity(now part of David C. Cook Ministries in Colorado) from the blue, green, yellow, red, orange, brown, aquamarine, and gold albums on Spotify radio on my laptop.

was just thinking about ROA, a Jesus type of Rock Festival a la Woodstock. Today such festivals are called Jesus Sonshine. Loved the music of WP and hamburgers and pizza were not bad, but Wierwille would drone on for at least an hour or more, boring.(and here I thought my father's sermons were dull, lol)

Actually Arius believed Jesus was a minor deity. It was Appollonarius who said Christ was either the angel Gabriel or the Archangel Michael. Wierwille was closer to the Essene/Ebionite belief that Jesus was a perfect created human being having no pre-existence(Paul of Samosota).
