    I traveled out of state to visit my "natural-man" family.

    And I didn't ask leadership's permission before I did it.

    And I didn't file a travel plan with leadership.

    And I didn't contact the leadership of that state when I got there.

    (Of course, to be very honest, I never did that when I was "in". I always let the folks I lived with know where I was going, but as a matter of friendship and courtesy, not because I was required to do so.)

    I think the internet's a marvelous tool and means of communication. So much information, good and bad, at your fingertips.

    Without it, I would have never heard about all the crap and sordidness associated with TWI and its leaders. I was even thinking of going back to a fellowship just to check things out, because I missed the good times and happiness I'd experienced for most of my stay.

    Then I typed in "The Way International" into a internet search engine...

    Thank you, God, for Al Gore and his wonderful invention. :biglaugh:

    Hey, for their "65pffffht" anniversary, they could try explaining why, after 65 years, most of their "adherents" have been with them for 15 years or less.

    What happened to all the "old-timers"?

    (One of the questions I should have asked myself when I got involved in '71. Too soon old and too late smart)

    I sorta feel like anotherDan does; even if all conditions were exactly the same as they were while I was "in", I would not want to subject myself to that sort of authoritarian, unidimensional lockstep thinking.

    I'm just not the same person I was then.

    I liked the vast majority of folks I knew and fellowshipped with while affiliated with the Way (and hope most of them liked me), but I wouldn't be able to buy into the BS like I did back then, and that would definitely affect my "standing" in the fellowship.

    Also, I've grown more accustomed to using the word "No" when someone asks me to do something I don't already want to do. Forget about being "blessed"; if I don't want to do it, I'm not gonna.

    Nope, the Way and I just wouldn't be a good fit anymore.

    Who remembers from the 40th Anniversary that the Corps received a few frames of the original film class?

    Actually, they may have been sent to all the "believers", as I am not a Corps grad. 3 or 4 frames of the original PFAL film class, laminated in plastic. I think I still have that stuck in my bible somewhere. I'll have to look for it someday.

My needs and wants were parallel (Cuba needs a steady source of capitalist income, and I want to get my Rengeek on), and God's willingness equals his ability.     No shame in downsizing. Failing corporations do it all the time.

    But that's probably why they'll resist further downsizing vigorously. Because failing ain't Prevailing.

    It's bad enough to lose Emporia, Rome City, and the other bastions of believing and outreach once held by the Way, but I would think downsizing Zion, I mean New Knoxville itself would be completely demoralizing to the Faithful Remnant.

    I wonder how many innies miss "the good ol' times" with Craiggy and would love to see him come back as King of Kings and MOG of MOGS.

    Who knows what new "red balloon" (upgraded to "little red Corvette") revelation he's come up with since his "exodus into the wilderness" for the rise and expansion of the One True Prevailing Ministry of the Word, the Word and nothing but the Word, so help me MOG.

    I would bet dollars to doughnuts those who were in during his "reign", and are still in, believe either:

    it really was a "one-time affair" and hey, everyone makes misteaks mistakes,

    it was more than one time, but all the women of the kingdom belong to the king, so what's the problem?

    or it never really happened, and it was a trick of the adversary to hinder the movement of the Ministry, which is synonymous with the Word of God as it has not been known since the 1st printing of Bullenger's How to Enjoy the Bible...uh, I mean the 1st century.

    I understand a lot of people still in the Way are bound to the organization because of the mindset "Where are we going to go to find the 'quality' of Word taught here?"

    Well, if you never look, you'll never know.

    TWI put on a protest march which they said included 150 from TWI. Martindale threatened to sue Canada for excluding its personnel for TWI's Canadian location. Source: The Way Magazine, Mar-Apr 1983. It even had a photo. TWI was never short on bluster.

    Gosh, for all his supremely superior revelatory prowess, Rev. Martinschmuck forgot one thing:

    Canada is not the United States of America. :doh:

    With their own sovereignty and laws.

    And if they don't want some damn foreigners there, they don't have to let you in.

    Especially if they perceive you as some sort of threat.

    Seems pretty evident the folks who mandate that type of "uniform" are men.

    Perhaps they want this type of uniform to "de-sexualize" the workplace and reduce the possibility of sexual harassment lawsuits.

    I wonder how male employees would react if the owners of a company mandated they would have to wear flower-print dresses as part of their "uniform".
