In case anyone is interested in seeing the footage from the Dinner... it looks like MSNBC will be running the Rachel Maddow show again at 3am eastern time/midnight tonight Mountain and Pacific time... if you have tivo/dvr that is. The footage is in the last 20 minutes of the hour long show.

I watch every night (except reruns)... but it doesn't start for more than an hour from now here... actually, BOTH McSame and Obama spoke at the Alfred E Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner tonight in NYC and both were VERY funny... on purpose... Rachel Maddow's show on MSNBC carried the footage tonight... might rerun tonight, check your cable listings for MSNBC.

And apparently quite talented. I was able to make one of the NLDS games in 2001 as well as game 1 of the WS that year. And having been at game 6 of the NBA finals the year the Bulls beat the Suns, I can tell you it's IMMENSELY more fun when your team wins.

Indeed, Manny was emotionally into the game... getting a pitch BEHIND him would do that to most players, I bet. But as much as he did for his team, there just wasn't enough Manny to beat them Phillies. Maybe the NLCS will go 7... that would make for a good series. I still remember the 2001 post-season fondly. That WS was awesome.

Fred Goldman, the father of Ronald Goldman, told CNN Saturday that his family is "thrilled to see the potential that he could serve the rest of his life in jail where the scumbag belongs." Simpson was convicted late Friday on a dozen charges related to the armed robbery of two sports memorabilia dealers in a Las Vegas hotel room last year. He was taken into custody shortly after the charges were read against him and is due to be sentenced on Dec. 5. I think it was the Angels that had shot all of their bullets... on Sunday. The made yesterday's game pretty good anyway however. Depending on how many days' rest, all four teams could be at or close to full strength for their respective LCS games.
