  1. I have not read this entire forum because I am super busy, but what I have read compares the leadership of the Way International to some of the 1st century people. Simply often not the followers of Jesus Christ, but instead the 1st century Pharisees or at least some similarities to their mindset of wanting to religiously rule.  Not as bad as the 1st century Pharisees who sometimes murdered followers of Jesus Christ or at least worked with the Roman Empire to have followers of Christ murdered with no crime for them. Obviously because they got away with murder by working with the Roman Empire, they will be judged at the 2nd resurrection of the unjust and could qualify as political or religious biblical beasts. We all make mistakes in our lives and when someone who claims to be a follower of Jesus Christ makes a mistake in not following the mindset of Jesus Christ as our loving savior. We can simply let them know their mistake even in person, while hopefully doing this in a peaceful way and simply this could or can be done with the leadership of the Way International. In the early 1980s when I met Victor Wierwille in person at an event I did this. I knew the problem with the hierarchy structure with leaders esteemed highly compared to other followers of Jesus Christ. I walked up to him and told him that you look familiar, but I can not remember your name, but it sounds something like, "Wear Something". Perhaps I was inspired by God because of his problem with having sex with multiple ladies because he was highly esteemed and could get away with that, while others received more criticism. Victor Wierwille answered and said his name was "Werewolf" and we laughed. He was with his best friend and we all laughed.  Then I apologized to Victor for not calling him the animal "werewolf" and we laughed again.

When I was with wierwille on his motor coach in May 1981, he stopped reading my deprogramming account, paused and directly fixated his gaze upon me, and said............. "Your parents will be dead in 5 years for having done this to you."

Imagine how that jolted me.  For nearly 17 years, I had been indoctrinated into believing that Dr. Victor Paul Wierwille walked with God and was "the man of God" for this day and time.  He received revelation from God.......and, he was the man who could "reach up into Daddy's cookie jar" anytime, anywhere.  Throughout the corps indoctrination program, our corps coordinators emphasized and demanded strict adherence and obedience to leadership.  Wierwille was the "ultimate leader" of the cult........and, in May 1981, I was in his private motor coach and he was uttering a prophecy of the death of my parents.

Why did Victor Wierwille falsely and errantly predict the death of your parents? What fault did Victor see with them? Yes, Victor Wierwille could be considered a teacher with his biblical teaching books, but NOT an apostle or a prophet and I saw that in the 1980s before I left the Way ministry. Also Wierwille also showed arrogance that I saw by saying he was the teacher instead of a teacher. We had and have a number of teachers that include on various subjects.

I admired his dedication, his wit and his teaching style. I didn't admire everything he said about God or politics or public health. But I will say without hesitation that he did everything in his power to serve and promote the God he worshipped. Whether he did it wisely or perfectly or even well is not for me to judge.

Regarding politics I thanked John for helping me laugh when he wrote the following to me by email:

    Quote

Have a BLESSED day in Commiefornia.

    Luv u!
    John

I then simply helped his economic education, while providing the following link about state taxes as he helped others with his biblical teaching books.  https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2020/04/19/taxes-2020-states-with-the-highest-and-lowest-taxes/111555224/

I simply explained to him through my research that California the state that I live in does not have the highest state taxes, but is above average for state taxes that people are required to pay when you live there. Also Indiana that state that John Lynn lived in does not have the lowest state taxes, but is above average for the lower state taxes that are required when people live there. I also helped John with his economic education about low import or tariff taxes in the USA as a whole nation compared to high income taxes also in the USA with the following link written by someone named Mark Sanguinetti. I wonder who he is???

  4. I consider John Lynn my friend from the state of Indiana. Sad to hear him breath his last natural earthly life breath. About two months ago on July 29th, I sent John and his wife my biblical teaching book titled: "Our Loving Savior Jesus Christ". As payment John sent me one of his books: "Is There Death After Life?", that I agree with. A good book and in working with two other authors, they wrote a number of biblical teaching books. Simply, John has the hope of a future eternal life with Jesus Christ our loving savior. When Jesus Christ returns as 1 Thessalonians 4 and 1 Corinthians 15 teaches.

  5. OldSkool, your face looks like you could be a leader of the Way International, but perhaps not enough green in your face with their headquarters perhaps still on a farm. But at least your face has the color red so that you could be intimidating to their followers. Also with your big eyes this might help you to see people that are under their religious authority. Congratulations, OldSkool!

  6. I recently received copies of my book that I ordered and paid for from a good book printer. I will place this book for sale on Amazon when I have more time. However, you can contact me directly with a discount price for the purchase of this book through the private messages on this web site. Or publicly on this topic/forum. I will send this book through USPS media mail which is a good cost of a little under $3. It has on the back cover of my book with the ISBN number, a retail price of $19.95.

  7. The following is the back cover text (I did not add extra space between paragraphs):

This biblical teaching book is solely based on scriptures from the bible. Many bible verses are quoted from or referred to before or after the author teaches and provides godly spiritual knowledge. In addition, factual and informative reference books that include the definitions of the original Greek words that the bible words were translated from are quoted from to help our understanding.

The author primarily promotes Jesus Christ in this book, while basing his views of Jesus Christ from bible verses, especially from the New Testament.  Perhaps the author could be considered a cheer leader for Jesus Christ. The author primarily promotes Jesus Christ instead of one individual denomination or church. Hopefully many people that are part of different churches or denominations will learn from this book.

The author wrote this book to serve and help people instead of wanting to lord over people like the Pharisees and Sadducees often tried to do in the first century when Jesus Christ lived his natural physical earthly life. We only have one Lord, Jesus Christ who represents God’s love and is our loving savior.

  8. Here is the last page of this book that I finalized today, while paying for some book printing from a book printing company in Washington state:

    Christian Book Reviews

If you have read this biblical teaching book and have found it helpful for godly spiritual knowledge. You can let other people know about this book and where you found it. Or by directing people to this web site:
    https://christianreconciliation.net/

If you have also written a biblical teaching book or are part of a Christian church or organization you can contact the author through the web site christianreconciliation.net and write a review about this book. Then for the future printing of this book I could add a paragraph of your review while also directing readers to your book or Christian church organization in a favorable way.

  9. Last night I filled out the form to get a library of congress control number. I received an email today showing that my almost completed book was approved. I will simply have the book's isbn number and library of congress number on the copy right page. After some books are printed. I will send one of them to the library of congress address in Washington DC by media mail.

  10. Hi Twinky: In Addition, youtube has very good videos to learn how to do things. For example, I previously rarely used Adobe InDesign, but now after watching and listening to instructional youtube videos. I have learned at least the basics for a book layout. Now it is not difficult for me to do. Thank you youtube and the teachers who do youtube videos.

Please pet your cats for me.

  11. My near future biblical teaching book has been almost fully written. I have used very good software programs to help with this. The programs are the PC Study Bible for research. Microsoft Word for the writings of the chapters with some editing for spelling, punctuation, and editing without having to rewrite the entire chapters when I learn more. Adobe InDesign for the layout of the book chapters that includes scriptural references, content with 16 chapters and scripture index. Also Adobe Illustrator for vector graphics within pages to also represent spiritual. Software used for the front, back and side cover, done by my graphic artist friend who I pay, named Julian Kernes, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.

  12. Very good advice T-Bone regarding eBook also. I was also advised about eBooks about 3 days ago from a phone conversation from a friend in California where I live. I started this with downloading from Amazon the Kindle software, where I can do the basics of at least reading eBooks. Thank you T-Bone for the links of also publishing as an eBook.

  13. I learned perhaps last month that many businesses who say they are book publishers, do not actually print books. Instead they mostly promote books, while doing marketing to make money. Perhaps they make more money than the author does, who actually did the research, and wrote the book. Therefore, I do not need businesses who call themselves publishers, especially it they do not actually print books. I found a company in Washington state that does actual book printing at a good price. It looks like I will self publish while using this company to do the actual book printing. For marketing I can use other people to help me with marketing and the selling of books. For example, visiting local book stores, with bookstores getting a wholesale price, instead of a full retail price. If someone gets sales, I will send them money as a commission of perhaps 5% to 10%. The book will take more time with a little more editing and then printing, but hopefully finalized within the next two months or maybe next month. Below are the chapters of my future book called "Our Loving Savior Jesus Christ (It looks like from this title, that I am doing marketing for Jesus Christ, instead of a church, denomination or even the Way Ministry.) I hope that is OK, but churches that actually read and study the bible, will agree with at least some or most of the book content.

    Chapters:

    1.      How the Bible Can Be Studied with Sources of Reference

    2.     Jesus Christ Representing God’s Love

    3.     The Salvation of Humanity Through Jesus Christ

    4.     The Lordship of Jesus Christ: Contrasting the Lordship of Imperfect Man

    5.     Age and the Greek Words That Begin with Aioon

    6.     The Authority and Supremacy of Jesus Christ

    7.      Reconciliation Through Jesus Christ

    8.     The Gift of Holy Spirit Thanks to Jesus Christ

    9.     Jesus Christ the Head of the Body or Church, 1 Corinthians 12

    10.    God’s Love for Humanity with Our Lord Jesus Christ, 1 Corinthians 13

    11.     Prophecy to Serve the Church of Jesus Christ, 1 Corinthians 14

    12.    Resurrection from the Dead Through Jesus Christ, 1 Corinthians 15

    13.    When Will the Dead Be Made Alive Through Jesus Christ?

    14.    The Mythology of Hell That Contradicts Scriptures

    15.     End Times with the Judgement of Humanity Through Jesus Christ

    16.     End Times with Purification of Humanity and Jesus Christ Reigning Supreme

Hi Info: Regarding the Xulonpress. I have received emails that promote a writing contest with three rewards of 1st, 2nd or 3rd for the top three who enter by providing some of their writings of 700 to 750 words. They promote this as a large saving for book publishing, but I just found out that the entry fee will be $39. I can afford this, but I do not want to waste money. What are your views on this? Here is the link for this contest. Does this sound legitimate or only used to make money for Xulon?

  15. Hi Alan: Thank you for your response. Are you referring to different bible version text or different Greek word text or something else? I use the PC Study Bible Software program that helps with research. For writing I use the Word software program which is certainly better than hand writing like the original bible authors had to do. But then they very likely got more help from God and Jesus Christ. For example, the Apostle Paul got much help from Jesus Christ for his epistles. He certainly needed this for his original writings. Of course I cheat and learn from Paul regarding God's word. Just kidding. No need to create our own bible. I simply learn from Paul or other authors and then type content, while either adding bible quotes or typing in the bible verses that I found the information from. I try to simplify and make my content understandable.  Perhaps I am a workaholic instead of an alcoholic, but it took time for me to produce my 16 chapters. Many hours and even years. People might find this interesting, but because of the Covid virus with less business and more stay at home scheduling. I have had more time to type or write the chapters content.

  16. Hello my friends from Grease Spot Cafe. I am making progress with my perhaps soon to be published biblical teaching book. I have written 16 chapters with over 82,000 words. I am now only doing a little more editing of the chapters. I have perhaps been successful regarding copy right with approval as long as I don't quote from a document that I find informative that is not in public domain more than 250 words. The Vine's Expository Dictionary is legal for me to copy from regarding the definition of ancient Koine Greek words from the New Testament as long as I do not copy more that 250 words. Regarding definitions of Koine Greek N.T. words, I give Vine's Expository dictionary a grade of "A". I simply do not know the Koine Greek language. Regarding this language perhaps I am a kindergarten student and therefore need help.

I am looking for a publisher now. Any recommendation for Christian book publishers?

  17. Thank you Raf and thank you for helping to remind me that I do quote a few times from E.W. Bullinger's book "Figures of Speech Used in the Bible". I do have a copy of this book that I am looking at now as I am writing this. At the beginning of this book it says "Originally published in 1898 by Messrs. Eyre and Spottiswoode in London". Then it simply has years that this book was again printed or reprinted. These years are 1968, 1970, 1971, 1974, 1975 and 1978. The year of the book that I have was 1978 with no copyright symbol on this page. This book was simply reprinted from a book published in 1898. Therefore it should at least be legal to quote from a few of the figures of speech with information from this book because this book should be in public domain.

  18. Thank you Socks. I at least understand the basics. The basics are that biblical research books published before 1923 are in public domain and can be quoted without needing permission from the publishing companies. For example the King James Version and for the definition of the original Greek words for the New Testament, the Thayer's Greek Lexicon were published before 1923 and are therefore in public domain. References published after 1923 are not in public domain. There is the risk to quote from them, for example the Vine's Expository Dictionary for the definition of biblical Greek words for the New Testament. I therefore simply need to contact them in order to quote from their sources of reference, while getting their permission. I will simply do that in a friendly way while thanking them for their biblical study work. Then giving them credit on one of the beginning pages of my book. I do not know everything on the planet. I especially do not know the Koine Greek language. Perhaps I am only a Kindergarten student for this language and therefore I can use the help of others who are teachers of this.

    Thank you again socks.

John Lynn has taught error, repeatedly.  John Lynn still teaches error, VERY QUIETLY.   Does it matter?

When planning to leave twi, he began gathering an audience.  Within a few years, he and a few others had already constructed a new group, complete with "the doctrines are etched in stone and above question"  and throwing in doctrines that others EASILY saw as dangerous-  and warned him about ("personal prophecy" and "Momentus."(    They proceeded anyway.  Why?

    A)  They were "above discussion" so changing their minds made them seem more human and less "above question."

    B) "Personal Prophecy" allowed them to claim to speak for God and usurp God Almighty's authority on those foolish enough to go along with it.

    C) "Momentus" allowed them to craft a new "insiders/outsiders"  thing like the Way Corps had been.

After far too many complaints, he's dropped talking about Momentus.  He still promotes it when someone's foolish enough to try to communicate with him, thus subjecting themselves to JAL's full advertising. (He refuses to dialogue, he claims he will dialogue but each time he's just advertised/)

The "Personal Prophecy" thing was above question- even when it destroyed his own marriage.  He's stopped pushing that one.  AFAIK, he followed the advice of a GSC poster, and went back and rebuilt his marriage. (That was a good idea.)  Has he ever apologized, even in a general way, for pushing that doctrine at the costs of the lives of "his" membership?    For claiming the Bible supported that when it never did?

When we're talking leaders, character matters.  When we're talking Christian/church leaders, character matters A LOT.

John Lynn's wife saw that personal prophecy was not biblical and was only promoted to gain control of people. Yes, John made a mistake and got a divorce with her after ignoring her message. Yes, we all make mistakes. No one is perfect on the planet. But someone after reading his ex-wife's views on "Personal Prophecy" saw that she was truthful and factual. This person called up John Lynn and communicated with John while explaining that his ex wife was truthful and factual. He got John to connect again with his former wife and now they are back together again. I wonder who this person is? Perhaps someone named Mark Sangui. Perhaps it might be challenging for me to spell his last name because it is very long and even 11 letters. Hopefully I at least was able to pass 3rd grade math.

Regarding teachings when John Lynn worked with John Schoenheit and Mark Graeser, the three of them were able to write a very good biblical study book, named "One God & One Lord". After reading this book about two years ago, I give this book a grade of "A".  When I was on vacation in the Philippines, I even shared some of this book's content to my friends there and they agreed and liked this book's content also. Christian people in the Philippines are mostly Catholic.

The main fundamental problem with the Way ministry as I still see it and saw it years ago was that high leaders for the Way could do what ever they wanted to do with no criticism even if they did bad things. While common ordinary people involved in the Way as members were treated much more critically regarding so called evil things that they could do even before they did them. Years ago I even wrote a biblical article on this subject titled "The Lordship of Jesus Christ, Contrasting the Lordship of Imperfect Man".

I did not know about Victor Weirwille's usage of his religious leadership to have sex with women who he was not married to. While common ordinary people involved in the Way could be criticized for this even before we did this. The one time I personally talked to Victor Weirwille was in about the year 1984 while I was a WOW. I was at a Way event with an auditorium combined with hotel rooms. I saw Victor with his best friend and peacefully walked up to him and told him. "You look familiar, but I don't remember your name, but it sounds something like wear something." I believe God inspired me to say at the end of my sentence "wear something" instead of "werewolf", which I thought I wanted to say before I said my sentence. Victor then said "werewolf" and then the three of us peacefully laughed. The sad thing is now, I did pet him like he was my dog. It is very difficult to pet a werewolf without getting bitten.

Grease Spot is not letting me edit my posts now. “The sad thing is now, I did NOT pet him like he was my dog.”

There's this interesting notion.  It persists among ex-twi, and, apparently, NOBODY ELSE.

This notion is-  it is WORSE to expose vpw, lcm, JAL, etc as rapists or embezzlers or simonists than it was for any of them to actually BE a rapist, embezzler, or simonist.  The idea is that God is less pleased at whisle-blowers than at felons who still victimize His people.

it's a bizarre idea.  Verses like II Timothy 4:14  make it obvious-   as if one has to actually be told it's obvious.

Hand in hand with that one is the bizarre idea that posters here spent ALL THEIR FREE TIME just posting here, and Christians who post here NEVER do anything Christian because they don't come here blowing a trumpet before them, to be seen of men.

I don't think it's an HONEST misunderstanding.  I think it's a DEFENSE MECHANISM which is grasped by those who wish to all but deify corrupt, abusive "Christian" leaders who have been caught.  It's not meant to clarify anything- it's meant to fog the issues and change the subject.

The main fundamental problem with the Way ministry as I still see it and saw it years ago was that high leaders for the Way could do what ever they wanted to do with no criticism even if they did bad things.
