  1. 'Hey, Mom,' asked Little Johnny, "can you give me twenty dollars?" "Certainly not!” she said. "If you do," he went on, "I'll tell you what dad said to the maid when you were at the beauty shop." His mother's ears perked up and, grabbing her purse, she handed over the money. "Well? What did he say?" He said, "Hey, Marie, make sure you wash my socks tomorrow." ~
  2. Huh... interesting... now that you made that clear, I think you owe me a pair of nice running shoes (Ya know... funny things happen when you give out your personal information, like a phone number in Chat)
  3. This question was meant for the person that posed the question as to 'why are we here at Greasespot'... is that right SogWap? OooOooo... I'm raising my hand... After hearing his voice, I've got a few theories

  7. huh... never heard of it George~
  8. Interesting Dot~ My friend Bridget would seem almost shocked to hear me say 'yes, let's meet & ride bikes'... she thought I wouldn't want to go anywhere with her... but what could be more fun than riding down to the forbidden GRAVEL PIT, tearing down that hill with no reserve? .... heck, the other girls were indoors doing something 'stupid' And her Mom was so much older than all the other Moms... maybe in her late 60's when we were in high school. Bridget's brother had been gone for YEARS... Bridget didn't speak bad of her mother, that wasn't ALLOWED!... she internalized everything, making problems her own fault. She didn't have any other friends... plus she was very down about having bad acne :( I feel like posting a picture of us... maybe a little later~

  15. Huh... This guy’s real concern seems to shine in his last statement… hoping for a bundle of cash? <_<
  16. For myself, I ask if it's something I can change. If my actions can make an impact, if only to let someone know my 'stand' on the issue, then speak it out, get it over with, and let it go! With my children, there is one out of the four that knows all by 'buttons' well. So, now I'm learning, again (thank you Mr. Sushi), where to let my thinking go~ putting the responsibility back to the child, in quiet, firm words that let the child know what I'm willing to do... a challenging but effective process. Blowing up in most any situation makes the person look silly, immature and out of control. Quiet & deadly seem more effective In light of TWI... I'd always thought the 'Leader' was to be the example, if they were doing their job, there wouldn't be much need to fly off the handle, under any 'name of anger'. If the devil makes us mad, we can strike back by not falling into his negatives.
  17. Maybe Mrs. Horney had seen the post on her book's ranking... now it's Amazon.com Sales Rank: #66,916 in Books
  18. Joseph, thought I read that you are interested in hearing about our dreams & visions. Okay~ While in a Church last Sunday... the pastor asked everyone to close their eyes, and picture a waterfall. He was giving an analogy of God's love... Well, the congregation's area had been dimly lit compared to the 'spot' from where the pastor sat and spoke... when I closed my eyes I could only see a black 'shape' of the guy, and everything else was white... Then... as I kept my eyes closed a white heart came down from the white area, stopping at his chest. Humm... that was interesting. There were no heart shapes anywhere to be seen, I even opened my eyes and looked around for any visible heart shapes... nope, none there... I had been wondering about this guy... so, does he have a pure heart?... or is it like a negative, look at the real picture, the man would be white & the heart would be black
