  1. I watched it... could this be why my computer's having problems? hmmmmm
  2. I'm still laughing Hills Bro! Wonder what an exercise class of this nature would look like... all those animals... might be hard to keep up... and very naughty
  3. Thanks for posting this Sushi :) Love & Logic works... knew about it for years and even got 'shamed' from someone in TWI for giving our children 'choices' (some b.c. dick tater) Resucing was the first thing I stopped~ unless it's an emergency that needs attention... like a paramedic ;) ... I will bring 'things' to school, if it's discussed ahead of time, as in.. 'Mom, this won't fit on the bus, and I need it at 'this time'... would you help me? I agree w/ Abi... some things don't fit because of age and personal beliefs... but there is plenty that does! Listening & watching Jim Fay in an auditorium was thrilling. I did think, some of this stuff would never work w/ one of my kids! But, the message gives hope and empowerment to the parent, allowing us to get closer to the goals we have for our children... teaching them to be independent, making good choices... (It is logical and loving) I admit, I have one child that can push my buttons and make me forget my counseling techniques fairly quickly... my solution has been 'vowing' not to get angry... it's working! Sushi, when you run your class, will you teach what's available and how to recieve it? How about practice sessions for delivering the "I'm sorry you're in this mess... this must be tough..." message That would be fun! oh... another question... what's w/ the glove in the avatar? Anything exiting going on you'd like to share about?
  4. Inland North here.... w/ the exception of 'pop'... we call it soda~ must have picked that up during all those moves out West
  5. Happy as a Pig... If you yelled for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days you would have produced enough sound energy to heat one cup of coffee. (Hardly seems worth it.) If you farted consistently for 6 years and 9 months, enough gas is produced to create the energy of an atomic bomb. (Now that's more like it!) The human heart creates enough pressure when it pumps out to the body to squirt blood 30 feet. (O.M.G.!) A pig's orgasm lasts 30 minutes. (In my next life, I want to be a pig.) A cockroach will live nine days without its head before it starves to death. (Creepy.) ( I'm still not over the pig.) Banging your head against a wall uses 150 calories an hour. (Do not try this at home...... maybe at work.) The male praying mantis cannot copulate while its head is attached to its body. The female initiates sex by ripping the male's head off ! ("Honey, I'm home. What the....?!") The flea can jump 350 times its body length. It's like a human jumping the length of a football field. (30 minutes... lucky pig... can you imagine??) The catfish has over 27,000 taste buds. (What could be so tasty on the bottom of a pond?) Some lions mate over 50 times a day. (I still want to be a pig in my next life...quality over quantity) Butterflies taste with their feet. (Something I always wanted to know) The strongest muscle in the body is the tongue. (Hmmmmmm.......) Right-handed people live, on average, nine years longer than left-handed people. (If you're ambidextrous, do you split the difference?) Elephants are the only animals that cannot jump. (OK, so that would be a good thing....) A cat's urine glows under a black light. (I wonder who was paid to figure that out?) An ostrich's eye is bigger than its brain. (I know some people like that.) Starfish have no brains. (I know some people like that too.) Polar bears are left-handed. (If they switch, they'll live a lot longer.) Humans and dolphins are the only species that have sex for pleasure. (What about that pig??)

    Flax Seed

Here's a site with all kinds of sprouting information- www.sprouting.com The smaller the seeds, the bigger the challenge.. small seeds tend to stick together after rinsing! There are some nice sprouting containers out there now... I use two mason type jars w/ screened lids... and yes, rinsing is MOST important :)

    Groceries

Gee (((((Belle))))) Let's see, the cheapest way to eat healthy for us... is for me to make it myself :) Feeding 5 here, three being teens that like to have friends over, I shop for meats on sale and purchase bulk items from Sam’s Club or Costco. Sometimes I buy their pizza to bake at home, and burritos for the quick morning breakfast for the boys to eat on the way to the bus stop ( something they like to do... ) oh.. and all items must NOT contain partially hydrogenated oils The ’big clubs’ fresh produce is priced far better than the regular grocery store, but the choices are usually the same. This may not be something for one person to do though... the packages are BIG! Will the program you're doing have suggestions on what to eat Belle? It's hard to say what the cost will be, guess it depends on what you need, how much you'll use, and how long those items will last! In our house, food goes fairly quick Now let's see.. did you want to know what I eat? I'll be glad to share about that later if you want to know... have to run
  8. Yes, I recall the 'Ruling'... the fellowship coordinators at the time had three children, two in college, one in middle school, both parents working... their youngest (female) was being harassed and followed by some guy in a car on her walk home from school... it really bothered her, and she started talking about it... She was immediately CUT off, given a STERN look and told that we don't talk about negative things.. PERIOD! After that, the 'subject' couldn't be discussed... the parents wouldn't hear a word.... the strange things to me was, I worked right around the corner, and left about the same time she was walking home... I could have given her a ride... I tried saying something... but got that same STERN look
  9. This is so ridiculous, it's funny.. (although, probably not at the time) I thought the motto was "We don't call 911" w/ a picture of a gun....? Seems you were left ill equipped~
  10. My kids were raised in TWI. They liked hanging out with the other kids... playing basketball, Gameboy's, listening to music... plenty of worldly stuff ;) The enjoyed going to New Knoxville on Sunday's, since this was the time all the kids could pile in a enormous van, laughing and goofing around the entire ride! They didn't like the 'children's fellowship' while there, but admittedly 'put up with it', since they enjoyed hanging w/ their friends! They've seen how ugly leadership had gotten, and have no desire to return... some of the kids keep in touch... a few are involved w/ 'stick' ministries, but still IM each other against their parent's will Smart kids!
  11. Now THAT is RETARDED!!! What fools!
  12. 1. Being told to deposit my expensive little baggie in the trash 2. Drenching Humidity 3. Observing man worship 4. Pressure to do MORE... those damn colored wrist bands!
  13. I don't recall ever having a real 'party' w/ TWI... it was always some type of witnessing stint behind a party cloak. Never fun... always stuffy, fake, and riddled w/ awkward moments~ Nothing like 'real life' !
  14. Thanks for sharing Greek! Although this must have been horrible to live through... for some reason it's terribly funny now~ I've always had good results using the Sonne's cleanse... and agree, it has to be done right, with all the recommended stuff, along with little or no stress. First time on the cleanse, I gave up smoking for the week... figured might as well do it all the way... Now, my mind was thinking about having that first cigarette at the end of the 7 days... food was a secondary thought... I really wanted a cigarette!! After the second day, felt great w/ lots of energy, had a whole set up at work to mix the stuff, could take breaks in-between clients... all went well... Morning of the 8th day! Lite one up... took a big drag... became instantly dizzy, and almost threw up!!! I was a non-smoker! I couldn't inhale.. it was if I was 13 all over again! Wasn't until a ROA that I picked up the habit again... 1981... cigarettes where in the hand of most everyone I saw... looked so good I see cleansing as a personal thing, and should be done by those that understand the process and WANT to do it. I probably would have done the cleanse w/out the prompting of TWI... just me I guess~
  15. When my kids were younger, they didn't like to eat veggies or anything 'new' at the dinner table... they did however like to do what Mom was doing, and would ask to join in, whatever the task I was involved with... This gave me the idea.... Made a large bowl of salad w/ raw veggies, sat down on the floor while some movie was on... they each gathered, wanting to have some too~ Since that point they've each loved raw veggies. Sometimes I'll put a platter of cut up veggies out while preparing foods... they seem to love to pick at it before the meal... fruits too!
  16. That is beautiful Dooj... thank you :)
  17. Nice look and feel... smooth, creamy & fresh
  18. Had fun reading & laughing~
  19. Eat fresh, think fresh.. like a teenager... maybe a new workout outfit
  20. Charlie Brown here.... right at the very edge of becoming Dexter...[/size]
  21. My precious little six year old takes learning seriously. He's come to the deduction that all people ‘grow’ as they get older. When he notices adults that have grown a little ‘more’ than perhaps they‘d even like, he’ll start…. “Mom, how old are you?”….. “45 sweet pea”….. “Is Dad a lot older than you”?….. “He’s 47, honey”….. Then some quiet thinking begins, complete with facial expressions of varied emotions…. “Well… is 47 a lot older than you, Mom”?…….. “You count, pumpkin…. (now saying together) 45..46...47...” Facial expressions becoming more intense…… “That’s only two more Mom!!!……” “You're right, love bug, only two years more…. Your brother James is 7 years older than you…. Why are you asking”? “I thought he was a lot older…..” Almost irritated with himself now…. “Why do you think that, sweetie”? “Because he’s so FAT”…… (and yes... he's very vocal in PUBLIC as well...)
  22. Shellon Dear... You had me laughing! Sounds like fun at your house
