That's some clever pumpkin carving! Thanks for that link Vegan :)
  5. Such a delicate, private matter. None of my business~
  6. Thanks for the lesson WordWolf~ I had no idea
  7. Hey Eagle, We've been M&A too... from a splinter group person... not the whole group Guess when they said 'if you ever need anything', that didn't include an 'ear'... Seems you should NOT speak of any problems etc... only good words should come out of your mouth/heart, a wife should only speak with her husband and obey him... :( Yes, TWI doctrine lives on in many places, continuing to hurt and tear people apart~
  8. Welcome Attack Gypsy! What Bizarre behavior... not allowing you to do dishes or cook?!?!?! Yet another example of the self-serving idiot trying to 'play' leader. No truth, no premise beyond some 'other man's' words, pouring out their 'un-worked' knowledge, demanding control... Look at the damage this brought to you and so many others... My parents do the dishes together, almost every night. It's a time they talk together. Sometimes my Dad will do them for my Mom, to give her a break. It's funny to hear him speak about 'getting on his job'... with his Southern Accent & all... they're in their 80's Thanks for posting A Gypsy
  9. Businesses are polite for the most part here, trying to serve the customer and keep them happy. The only place we've found irritating is Wal-Mart, where the employees don't get enough hours, the lines are long, the store is dirty, and customers get mad. 'Customer Service' for most companies call centers seem to be in INDIA... where the employee is difficult to understand... so, I guess Customer Service has 'left America' in that sense...
  10. Now JRB, I don't have to have seen your 'experience' to know a lie... there are two right there. That spirit still smells like burning pants... Maybe some prayer and a few bars of soap will get the smell to go away. Wouldn't you rather tells stories of diving off this rock @ Waimea Bay? Or how about finding a great parking spot on a busy day there? :) Were you still there when Dave C brought ice cream to the beach for a treat... Getting that house on Haona St... that's a great story too~
  11. I heard him say he was Jesus' man... What is that? A man for Jesus? Christ in him? Maybe all the followers are excited about the word he's teaching, with all the signs, miracles & wonders following
  12. What Sudo said... <_< smell some pants a' burnin'~
  13. Clean House Getting rid of people that didn't agree with your logic~
  14. For all the perverts, sex offenders & pedophiles out there~ Please line up
  15. Why would they be after you like that Ron? What did you do to them? Is it you who knows where the bodies are buried? When we left, no one was after us... spooky!
  16. The cemetery sounded interesting Jim. Where my Grandparents are buried in Germany, it is mandatory for the sites to be taken care of in a meticulous way. Our relatives there take turns caring for it, which at times is more work than imagined. We also have Muslim friends, the husband is from Iran, the wife from Wisconsin. They met in college. We've shared in prayer with them... everything had to 'stop', and they gave a certain time to God in prayer. Wonderful people! Everyday seems to have non-Way moments. Speaking with people without the intent to get them into a 'class' is a refreshing daily activity :) Thanks for sharing~
  17. I've never heard or seen anything but good from CFFM directly. We enjoy their CD's, and have attended one large get-together. Everyone was more than wonderful, and God was the main topic! I agree w/ Oilfieldmedic... except I'd like to dig the devils eyes out To John R., thank you for the clarification.
  18. Thanks for sharing about Eddie and your time together with him. :)
  19. Thanks for sharing this :)
  20. Pond, I couldn't hate you :) Being a licensed cosmetologist, I’ve seen a good haircut/style make a person look 100% better, transforming not only their looks but their countenance! I agree, it's important for a person to take care of themselves and look their best. It DOES wonders for the self-esteem. Personally, without my morning shower, freshly shampooed/blown-dry hair, and usual make-up, I'm ‘not ready‘ for the day. But, I'll still go to the bus-stop in my jammies, if needed I don't think the point of the Film is about NOT wearing makeup or taking care of yourself, I think the point of the film is to expose the reality of the altered images in ads/commercials, showing that the model doesn't even look like the Ad! Without the computer enhancement, the models would look closer to reality. Still, with all the 'work' she's very beautiful I think. My daughter, for a time thought she was never good enough, especially after looking through a teen magazine... she had a different build than the models, and the latest fashion trend didn't fit her like it did them, so, she felt bad. There are many extremely beautiful people who think they're ugly. Why is that? How would these unattainable images help people?
  21. Beauty Evolution Dove has a 'campaign' for Self Esteem & Real Beauty... Their short film is a fantastic exposure of advertising, a must see, especially for young people! My children are reminded that a person's looks aren’t important, but rather what is IN the person, their thoughts, beliefs, intensions and behavior ~
  22. For some reason this song keeps coming to mind when thinking of how Weirwille ran the Corps & TWI... Change a few words around, and it's about right Mr. Banks: I feel a surge of deep satisfaction Much as a king astride his noble steed When I return from daily strife to heart and wife How pleasant is the life I lead! Mrs. Banks: (Spoken) Dear, it's about the children... Mr. Banks: Yes, yes, yes! (Sung) I run my home precisely on schedule At 6:01, I march through my door My slippers, sherry, and pipe are due at 6:02 Consistent is the life I lead! It's grand to be an Englishman in 1910 King Edward's on the throne; It's the age of men I'm the lord of my castle The sov'reign, the liege! I treat my subjects: servants, children, wife With a firm but gentle hand Noblesse oblige! It's 6:03 and the heirs to my dominion Are scrubbed and tubbed and adequately fed And so I'll pat them on the head And send them off to bed Ah! Lordly is the life I lead! A British nanny must be a gen'ral! The future empire lies within her hands And so the person that we need to mold the breed Is a nanny who can give commands! A British bank is run with precision A British home requires nothing less! Tradition, discipline, and rules must be the tools Without them - disorder! Catastrophe! Anarchy! - In short, we have a ghastly mess!
  23. So, what was being taught that was so bad? <_<
