Although both are factually correct, he was also involved in a few movies that were much, MUCH more famous than "Highlander." That's when he appeared on camera. But if you don't know that, there's no way you're going to identify his scenes in actual films in which he appeared. (In hindsight, this will all be rather obvious- who he played, why you don't know it's him, etc.) You've definitely seen him in that role.

George pointed out the lettuce comment was a turtle who lost to the lettuce. Makes sense, but I was thinking of cute cat and dog videos and how it wouldn't be a shock to see a cat losing a fight with a head of lettuce or something. It led me to the right movie, so whatev'.

It's not Rod Stewart, but I thought it was, for a moment. Also sounds a bit like Meat Loaf, but I should recognize all his hits, at least. Maybe I can run this past Mrs Wolf.

IIRC, Ladyhawke, Biloxi Blues and I forgot Torch Song Trilogy. Now, on to the next round, let's see...

"Whenever we kiss, I get to feeling like this, I get to wishing that there were two of you. My heart cries out 'More, baby', it feels so nice, I want your arms to wrap around me twice." This was a hit for 2 bands, decades apart. One version is about as old as me, and the other version wasn't recent but was part of a soundtrack, and Jennifer Love Hewitt appeared in the music video (live, not in archived footage.) -
Reiterating a point that got eaten in the server migration... that movie had a lot of actors in it. Ralph Bellamy Trading Places Denholm Elliot

"Another Saturday, another date. She would be ready but she's always make him wait. In the hallway, in anticipation, He didn't know the night would end up in frustration. He'd end up blowing all his wages for the week All for a cuddle and a peck on the cheek." "My sister should have come in at midnight, And my mum would always sit up and wait. It always ended up in a big row When my sister used to get home late." "Out of my window I can see them in the moonlight, Two silhouettes saying goodnight by the garden gate."

I don't think he ever covered this song. It's definitely not a John Denver song to most people.

There have been a number of accomplished swordsmen- and talented amateur swordsmen- in Hollywood history. A great many of the amateurs have ONE MAN to thank- it's said he taught Hollywood to fence. With all the teaching he's done, he's rarely on camera- in fact, when he was most visibly on camera, dueling, nobody has any idea it's him. It's not a surprise he's a former Olympic gold medalist. Who is this man? For bragging rights, who did he play on-camera?

My answer was "ROCK AND ROLL BAND"???, and you replied to that with "Yes", so I thought you were saying it was my turn! -

Next song. "Whenever we kiss I get to feeling like this, I get to wishing that there were two of you." -
Next song. "Out of my window I can see them in the moonlight, Two silhouettes saying goodnight by the garden gate."

I always like to wait for confirmation, especially if it's "official" (the poster says it's correct.)

Um, "Rock and Roll Band"??? -
The answer was "HAMLET." David Tennant was in the Royal Shakespeare Company version, with Tennant as Hamlet, and Claudius and old Hamlet played by Patrick Stewart. It's a neat version with some interesting moments. (When they catch a fleeing Hamlet, he's brought in, tied to a chair. When Polonius recites his cliche festival at Laertes and Ophelia, at the end, both mouth what he's saying as he says it, as if they've heard it so many times they can recite it from memory.) Of course, there was a Danish version because the story takes place in Denmark.
-
True, but not the answer I was looking for, nor the name of a movie. ;)

This story has seen 14 different versions made into movies. 6 were silent films, at least 1 was a television-film and didn't air in theaters. 2 were French, one was Soviet, 1 was Danish, 1 was Italian, and the rest were US or UK versions(as far as I know.) What do Mel Gibson and David Tennant have in common?

That's it. Quite a list of stars in that thing, wouldn't you say?
