I sort of realize that wordwolf but I have a very stubborn person about firewalls around here. I can do just about anything to this computer but don't touch the firewall thing. I guess that is why our computer was down for so long. A wonderful loving guy until you want to get a firewall in. LOL

What uncle hairy said was true I thought that being a woman with a same sex partner is better excepted than with men. I mean isn't it most men's secret fantasy to make it with two women? lol But, in saying that, I would much rather be friends with a gay guy than a female. Gay men are more thinking like a female as far as they understand a woman and how they feel without the claws being out. Women lesbians are more hard core and unfeeling. This is just my observation on this, don't know if its true or not. So I totally agree with Uncle Hairy and dmiller on this one. And by the way, ex10, I think this is a great topic..thanks!!!!

Thanks you all... Excie, same with me with my first one...my mother did the first bath...she was way too slippery for me and I was scared to death!!!! There is nothing more gratifying than being the grandparent and showing them things patiently. Things the parents really can't fill because of their responsibility as a parent.

Hey Cindy, Thanks, it looks like a really good book!!!!!

WHAT IS A GRANDPARENT? (taken from papers written by a class of 8-year-olds) Grandparents are a lady and a man who have no little children of her own. They like other people's. A grandfather is a man grandmother. Grandparents don't have to do anything except be there when we come to see them. They are so old they shouldn't play hard or run. It is good if they drive us to the store and have lots of quarters for us. When they take us for walks, they slow down past things like pretty leaves and caterpillars. They show us and talk to us about the color of the flowers and also Why we shouldn't step on "cracks." They don't say, "Hurry up." Usually grandmothers are fat, but not too fat to tie your shoes. They wear glasses and funny underwear. They can take their teeth and gums out. Grandparents don't have to be smart. They have to answer questions like "why isn't God married?" and "How come dogs chase cats?". When they read to us, they don't skip. They don't mind if we ask for the same story over again. Everybody should try to have a grandmother, especially if you don't have television, because they are the only grown ups who like to spend time with us. They know we should have snack-time before bedtime and they say prayers with us every time, and kiss us even when we've acted bad. A 6 YEAR OLD WAS ASKED WHERE HIS GRANDMA LIVED. ''OH,'' HE SAID, ''SHE LIVES AT THE AIRPORT, AND WHEN WE WANT HER WE JUST GO GET HER. THEN WHEN WE'RE DONE HAVING HER VISIT, WE TAKE HER BACK TO THE AIRPORT.'' Send this to other grandparents. It will make their day

How must money have you saved no being in the Way?
vickles replied to year2027's topic in About The Way
exactly, I second that, peace of mind is the best of the best of savings that is for sure. I also like having money and not feeling guilty of having to help someone if I don't want to and I don't have to abs or tithe if I don't want to. No one is watching if I do nor not...its nice to give because I chose to and want to. That is what a cheerful giver is all about. I also like being able to pay my bills!!!! -
Wow, I knew them (j and m...initials now that I know, by the way thanks so much) in 1976-78. They were LC's and I spent some time with them. I really liked them and respected them. I also knew J's mom and brother. They must have changed quite a bit, huh?

When my daughter was little I did tell her but she refused to believe it. She will be 18 years old next month. If someone asks her if she believes in Santa, her response is, 'I believe in the spirit of Santa.' Her favorite time of year is Christmas. Now my son (who is 14 years old) I did differently and let him believe in Santa. I never told him differently. As he got older he recognized that there wasn't one. He wasn't tramautized by the whole thing. It really wasn't a big deal around here.
