I have two step daughters that are in their mid thirties. The are the most selfish women I have ever known. There mother died several years ago. I've been told by a lot of people that their mother was a very loving person. I asked bob how in the world did a very loving and giving person end up with two girls that are the most selfish greedy people ever. He said that her whole life was built around the girls and always gave them whatever they demanded. So now I have two selfish greedy step daughters that I have to deal with. I think I've posted before about how rude they are. About a month ago one of the step daughters wanted money for bob's life insurance. She pays it with the understanding that they will receive this money when bob passes away. Her mother set it up for them. So, they wait for him to pass away and fight about what they are going to get when he dies. Every time the money is due she asks for money to pay it. I told her since I pay it maybe she would consider putting my kids on it since bob is raising them with me....she had a major fit. Bot still gave her the money to pay it. Bob had to go to the hospital via ambulance on monday, and I called the one (the one that had a fit) at work (which I work at the same place, got her a job there), and left a message to either come to the hospital or call over there to see how bob was doing. She neither came or called. I then left a message later in the day that her dad was coming home. At work today I was told that after she got the first message she was happier than usual and was telling jokes to other co workers. After she got the second message she told some coworkers, 'darn, he ripped me off of the 120 thousand from the life insurance again.' Needless to say I was pretty upset. Bob does not see her or the other one in the same light as I do. He thinks its their humor. He feels that we put him in the middle. My question to you all is, how do I deal with this to keep peace?

Vickles, there were just as many women in charge as men. Where have you been? I had just as many female coordinators during my stint, as males. IF there were this female gender bias you so love to embrace, why were fems allowed to runs twigs, branches, limbs? Teach classes and coordinate. Twi wouldn't have put women IN CHARGE of things, if they were thought of as inferior, or second class.>>>OM, I was one of those females that were leadership in twi. There were a few times that I was replaced with males that knew nothing at all and had no idea what they were doing. And, let me say there was no reason to be replaced. We were doing well and moving the word real good. As soon as the males came in with their knowing nothing but being a yes-man the fellowships dissipated. So, as a female in a leadership position at times, I do know that they were very very gender based. And I will add another thing...when I married, it was another total different thing. I was there to just serve my hubby.

It's a cybermyth that there was widespread female gender abuse.I wouldn't have been involved in a group/movement for almost 20 years, had there been widespread female abuse in it. That's preposterous. guffaw, om we already know that you are not 'all' there.....if you were in twi and was involved it was there right before your face...for a guy I guess, that so believed it really put your shoulders back and head up high to have the man totally in charge, huh, om?

Frankee, you got me right...if it had been her mother, sister...my thinking is definitley not gender based. If someone is thinking that way then I would not be able to agree with them. I'm sorry johniam that you feel that way but at least now I know where your coming from.

Catcup, I hope you called the police too. This is harassment. You can probably get a restraining order on him too if need be.

johniam, I have to ask you this and its not meant to point fingers at you at all. But from all the time I've read your posts I get the feeling that there is some kind of anger towards women in general. There must have been something thats happened in your life to take these things to such an extreme. This is what I get from what you posted in several other threads. Please say this isn't true. I'd truly like to understand why you continuously feel that women get away with stuff and men don't. Is that how you feel?

She would be part blame if she knew he had problems in that area. Johniam, I just don't think you are understanding this. In everything I've read it has been stated that the husband knew that she had mental illness problems, he was told for her not to have any more children...she wouldn't be able to handle it mentally. In fact, the day it happened there was something about his mother was suppose to be there later in the day because of the mental problems going on. But, yet he chose to go to work instead of waiting for his mother to get there. He knew the severity of her mental statis!!! End of point.

Bob and I put in a living will yesterday at our medical center...they did it for us and it is in the records. If something happens outside of this area, all we need to do is have it faxed to where we need it....it was free. We are also in the middle of doing our wills. There is so much to think about but I feel better about getting it all done. Thanks shell, for putting this thread up so we can look into it.

I saw the movie on dvd recently, and if you don't look at it like its for real life, I thought it was pretty good. A lot of those shots are just like how it is in Minnesota when its freezing...... :D-->

Well frankee, I think if you lived in this area you would learn to hate spam. I live near austin mn where hormel is and when I go to austin I nearly gag by the smell...no more spam for me!!!!! But you may like it anyways. There is even a spam museum that you may enjoy.

My dear excie, I totally agree with you, I would not have been able to live if something like that happened to my kids and even more if it was me that did it!!!!!

Shell, it said in one of the interviews that the attorney went to her and told her that it was overturned and she was excited and smiled.

ONe thing shell, that troubles me and maybe you can answer me this knowing you have had some training in this area.... What troubles me is when she was told the news she was excited and smiled. I don't know if I would be doing well and would just want to die realizing I had killed my kids....all five of them...something isn't quite right, I don't think...or am I thinking too much?

I totally agree, david, its just that she needs mental help!!! I think she should be in the mental ward for a long long time. Or at least until she is well and years afterwards to make sure she stays stable. I think her hubby should have gotten in trouble too, as I felt that he had played a part in it knowing she was having mental problems.

I at times still (after 17 years) that my personality is not there. I sometimes feel it peeking out but then there are glimpses of those times that I spent so many years in it that do come back.
