There is one thing I lie about and I don't know really if it is bad or good, I fight myself on it quite a bit but hey I save lots of money this way. My son who is 14 is rather small and doesn't eat much. When we go to a restraunt we lie about his age so that we save money. I used to not do this because a lie is a lie. I don't understand why they just don't go by the size. I have a grandson who is twice as big as my son who is under 12. He eats more than all four of us put together but yet he gets the discounts for all you can eat...go figure. So is this really wrong? I don't know.

Sometimes I get the idea from a few of you that its not ok to be a good person...whats wrong with a kid being good and doing good things for their community? I would rather have a too goody too shoes of a child than a child that was hurting others and selfish.

Thankyou, whatever our beliefs are this is something that is of health concern. I agree with Krys that it is concern for us women also as it might cross over to us women.

I think I've shared this on gs before but will share it again. About 1985 give or take a little I was living in a Way Home with the BC. It was the BC who was male and another guy and a girl and me. I shared a room with the other girl. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with the girl. She seemed a mess. When I would go upstairs to where the bedrooms were she was always rushing out of the BC's bedroom or I would find her in his room with the lights out, the door open and her giving him a message. One night I decided that she was a very emotional wreck and that I would try and find out what was wrong with her. I took her out for a drink and looked at her and said what the H is going on? She told me that this BC had told her that he was a man of God and that he had sexual needs and she was there to meet those needs so that he could meet the needs of the people. She naively believed him and it had been going on for a good year or so. It was tearing her up inside. I told her that it was wrong and not in the Bible anywhere that we were to do that for him. We called the LC, he wasn't there but his wife was. She sent this girl to live with them and I never saw her again. They had another girl move in and he did the same thing to her but she was more seasoned in those ways and more secretive. It didn't bother her in the least. This BC's fiance was in residence and she came for a visit and told me it was ok with her. The next year, this BC became a LC of a different state. But then there were other experiences with believers that didn't do this man o God thing that they were told that it was wrong to have sex with their sisters in Christ and to go outside of twi. Whats wrong with this picture??

LOL Satori!!! I think the slip of the tongue by someone unexpectedly was rather gross. The one I got was very very wet. Yuck. I did everything I could not to look so in horror. I think some did it for the shock value, and others did it to see if you were one of those that they could get away with more than just a slip of a tongue.

Gottcha!!!! :D--> You had to take a peek didn't you? In the 70's sex was something that was thought of but not really expressed too much (at least on twig levels). In the 80's it was go outside of twi and get your needs met except if it was a Man O God. Why do you think it was different for the lower echelon than for the higher? Why not have sex ok for all?

Yeah, I think if he was in line to be my contractor and I heard about this and how many times he has sued in his business, there is no way in hell that I would have him at my house or business!!!!!!

Yeah I got one of those 'lizard' kisses once by someone from staff. It was right in front of his wife too. She said to him afterwards that he shouldn't do that to me because I wouldn't understand....huh? Now I do!!!!!

The husband lost his job over this? What kind of work did he do? Is there more to this story?

now your making it hard, satori....well to them reproof on the outside was that they loved us ssssoooo much that they only wanted to help us. Of course it was only used to intimidate and put us down to make themselves look better.

Why satori, reproof in twi language means in your face, spit so they get their germs on ya and look like a bull in a china closet...don't ya know?

I don't think it said anywhere that they were doing it in the name of God. So where is that coming from? To be nice, have kindness, and be doing for others isn'tjust a religous thing. I know some atheists that are kind and giving.

I don't know, Peahead, I would rather my teens doing that than stealing, lying, drinking, doing drugs and sex. I would be so thankful that they were trying to do something for others and not thinking about themselves, which I think is the main problem in this country.

Exactly how I feel Shaz...why fight? Or try to even stick up for yourself after a couple of posts? It makes that person look even worse. Better to shrug it off and let it go...its not like its someone you see personally everyday anyway.

'As far as using our courts, well, hey now she had the bad the fee's for small claims and it our right. who is to say who get to and who does not? Your right MJ but frivilous things like this is what takes up the courts time away from important stuff. The past history of these people are important to know about. I feel sorry for the daughter that are friends with these girls. If it were me I would be SO embarrassed. What kind of message is this mother teaching her...huh?

mj, Yeah, I guess they did learn a lesson huh? That people can be bad when you are trying to be nice to them....

Jim, you were 'conditioned' to say only the positive. But, there were some wow's that had a good year...don't hear many of those though. I went three years of wow. Each year was even worse of the year before. I was clearly into pain... -->
