  1. Ex.......................my first job I had when I was 17, and no laughing... was a secratary, then on to a receptionist, the funny part was what I had to wear, the white blouse, the skirt, nylons and high heels.................that is so NOT me!!!! Yuck!!! Cowgirl

    Song of the moment

"EVERYTHING" by Michael Buble...............gives me goosebumps, it's sooooooooo old fashioned and romantic! In fact I love all his stuff! If I knew how or remembered how to post that particular piece, or You-tube, I would ! Cowgirl
  3. Whether it's positive or negative publicity, I bet she is just lapping it up, she loves being at the centre of attention, she's getting exactly what she wants, the whole world paying attention to her!! Cowgirl
  4. Hi Belle....nice to see you too!!! Thanks you guys for the info, I appreciate it!! Cowgirl
  5. Excuse my ignorance, but what is a "New York minute?" Cowgirl
  6. Chas............here's another idea your little one might really like, I just started up a little business along with my sculptures, doing treasure hunts, when it comes to entertainment for birthday parties, school activities, company parties, businesses, church picnics, you name it, can do it inside or out, with any amount of people, any age group, even midnight treasure hunts with a flash light, I design the treasure maps and all the clues, do the whole preparation, but I leave it up to the person having it, to purchase something for the treasure and then I'll put it in the treasure chest and hide it along with the clues, I hide the clues the day before in zip-lock baggies and let the person in charge know where all the clues are hidden, that way I don't have to be there for the party and it frees my time up to take off on the weekends. I charge according to the difficulty of the treasure hunt and all the preparation that goes into it (some of the maps get pretty elaborate and people want to keep them as a souvenir) I've always had this thing for treasure maps so I decided to expand on that and I came up with this idea, right now I'm putting some on at my boys school, kind of like a trial run.
  7. TheHighway...............just read your post and I wanted to say don't give up with your drawings, just because you are looking at someone elses work and drawing something similiar doesn't mean you don't have the talent to draw, it comes with alot of practice and ALOT of artists just starting out learned to draw by copying someone else's artwork and then they went on to develop their own style. One artist that is world famous for children's illustrations, does the illustrations for the author Robert Munsch, his name is Michael Martchenko and that's exactly how he got started by copying other people's work, then he came up with his own, now his stuff is all over the world. Go for it!! Cowgirl

    Age difference

I'm curious..............I'm beginning to see someone who is 8yrs younger than myself and no I am not desperate, I've had my fair share of dates but no one with 8yrs difference between us. So far he seems to be a real sweetheart. Sometimes in my mind I wrestle with the thought about the age difference but the majority of the time I just enjoy him for who he is and not get wrapped up in the age thing. I think because in my day and time when a couple got together it was so drilled into our heads you dated someone close to your own age either wise it was almost considered taboo, also it was more acceptable for a man to date a lady quite a bit younger than himself than for a lady to date someone alot younger than her. Any thoughts on this? Cowgirl

    GLUE

I have a collection of heart shaped rocks that I have been collecting and I want to glue them to the lip of my bathtub for display, so we're talking about about ceramic, plastic and stone. I need a really good glue that drys quickly and is pretty durable, can anyone suggest a glue that will stick all three of those with no problem? Thanks Cowgirl
  14. Dot....................you can always go live in the jungles with a tribe, that's my answer when things in my life get too overwelming, I wouldn't have to pay any bills, wouldn't have to pay for food, no taxes, no gangs, no crime, lots of sunlight, wouldn't have to be concerned about clothing, wouldn't have to have a 9-5 job, life would just seem so simple and uncomplicated. 15. CoolChef, thanks for the suggestion, I just might try it out and Cindy, what a great site, thanks, I'll definitely put it to good use!! Cowgirl

  19. Can any one recommend some good curry dishes, the kind with a sauce and chicken or shrimp that you would serve over rice? Thanks PS I meant to include low-fat in the recipe
  20. I have 5 children, 3 of who are boys, 9 and two 8 yr olds................the boys had some friends over and were playing outside, they were trying to impress the girls, one of my sons starts throwing rocks on top of the van, he's impressed with his aim and gets a little more daring, while his two other brothers are standing by, witnessing all of this, thinking Oh this is fun!" he hurls a rock right through the back window................GLASS EVERY WHERE !!! GO FIGURE!!!! He's grounded for LIFE!!!!! P.S. These are the same guys who last year cut all the tops to my tomato plants off!! Is this typical for boys????

  23. This is probably a very touchy subject and I will try my best to be very delicate about what I'm trying to say. First of all I have never been a victim from any sexual abuse, be it rape, child molestation etc. And I don't fully undertand what must go on in the abused one's mind after going through such a horrible experience. What I am trying to understand is why people post their experience about how they were abused, not just once or twice but over and over, doesn't that kinda take you back to where you are reliving it again and again. Would you not just want to deal with it and then move on. I don't know but when something bad has happened to me I don't like going back to that place in my mind. AND DON'T READ ME WRONG I'M NOT DISAGREEING THAT IF PEOPLE NEED TO SHARE THEIR STORIES HERE WHETHER NEGATIVE OR POSITIVE, THAT'S COOL, but whenever sexual abuse comes up and it may not even be about them, but they feel the need to share it over and over again how they were abused and I just want to know , how come?
