My best kept secret unless you come around to my back door and yard................I am a driftwood fanatic, I'm sure I've collected over 300 lbs of it over the course of this summer and there's still plenty day left. My van is usually backed to the hilt upon returning from the beach. I've been known to drag huge stumps of it for 3/4 of a mile down the beach....hmmm maybe a little obessed would be a better description!! In case you're wondering what in sam's hill I am doing with it, I have been turning my patio into a kind of "Gilligan's Island" haven, building all sorts of cool things.......when people come to visit I even have the Gilligan's Island theme song playing, I know I'm nuts!!! Also I'm so against fashion or people having to wear what's "IN" for the season................my fashion sense for this summer has been, a t-shirt with a pair of blue-jean over-all shorts, the bib has to be worn down and my trusty pair old LIME green rubber boots. Great for beachcombing, when my arms and backpacks are full of driftwood I can still stuff the pockets. Cowgirl

Jonny................You never cease to amaze me, why is it everytime someone posts something and you want to add your two bits to it, it's always something perverted or you boinking someone. I always wanted to be an archaeologist, (that's probably where my love for treasure maps stems from) however now I am an artist working from my home, and the business is going pretty nicely, so I'm pretty content with the journey I have chosen !! Cowgirl

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah ................I just went out into my back yard........and they friggin MOWED it all down, my little oasis or haven is gone, I'm ....ed and so disappointed, I could see the guy on the mower in the distance so I walked across to where he was in my barefeet and pyjamas (he must of thought I was looney tunes) and asked him why they cut it...reason, it was getting too long and could become a fire hazard...dang!!! It was such a great place to just get away from everything even if it was just for a few minutes. I have some woods right next to me, I'll have to go find something in there

Running on an isolated trail is one way for me, but I've found a new one which is alot more relaxing..................I have this huge meadow right in the back of my house and the grass or wheat is aleast 3 and a 1/2 feet tall, when I need some quiet time alone I head out there with a blanket and some poetry books. I lay down on the blanket and all I can see is the tops of the wheat and the blue sky, I am totally hidden from view and all I can hear is the sound of crickets, cecadas, birds and the wind blowing through the tall grass. I absolutely love it, a great way for me to just let everything go and recharge and the beauty of it is, it's righ outside my back door!! This is too bizarre.........................I typed in my maiden name, (I'm divorced haven't changed my married name yet) so I typed in "Nancy Plummer" and about the fourth website down it reads "Treasure Hunt Party Illustrated by Nancy Plummer" and I have a little business that I just started up, which is putting on treasure hunts................that is just too weird!!!!!!! Hi Dot! I haven't had a chance to look at the website Mr Hammeroni put up, the only two ways that I know of are to either marry an Canadian, or if you are a specialist in your field of work that wouldn't be taking a job away from a Canadian. You would also have to go through a full medical examination, to make sure you wouldn't be a burden on the medical system here or bringing some strange disease into the country. I'm not saying that there's something wrong with you, it's just the way they do it up here, in fact it wouldn't surprise me, if your laws are very similar to ours when it come to wanting to be an American citizen. I won't get into great detail on this but I've started up a little side business along side my other stuff, designing treasure maps and putting on treasure hunts for all ages and groups of people. I have designed a business card and flyers to go up in public places but I am stumped as to what I am going to call it. I would like to have the words "Treasure Hunts" in it but I need something catchy that people will remember. Any suggestions would be more than welcome!!!!!! Cowgirl

LOLOL... Sorry Mstar, but I have to laugh, I know exactly what you're talking about, I've been there numerous times, but the message doesn't seem to register, when I'm out running on the trails, I'll come across a new one, just have to check it out no matter how over grown it is, and no sane person would venture to run on, and everytime it never fails I find myself getting stung like crazy all over my legs, ) I'm sure it's the same kind of plants you are talking about, just burns like no tomorrow) so I sympathize with you and yet it is kinda of funny!!
