Howdy..I'm presently in the middle of attempting to teach a lesbian friend of mine a bit of Gods Word. I am learning alot about this persons past, just from her willingness to share her heart...guess what I'm asking about is, not necessarily whether or not they are "born" that way, but rather whether any of you have ever discovered any lesbians who have changed over to being straight...or whether there are organizations that can help a lesbian to find "deliverance"..she is "seeking God" (in her own words, and I have very little knowlege on the subject. So thank you all for considering this & whatever you know may helpt this fine person.

Don't forget to allow a few bucks for some beastility films for Way Corpse training purposes....after all..you never know who might get blessed knowing that "expensive" stuff....gosh where's that chapter & verse when ya need it?? LOLOL

Krys...then how do you explain Jesus casting demons (spiritiual) out of the possed man in the Gospels (definitely "natural")...Or what about Jesus sending out the 70 & they came back rejoicing because "even the devils were subject to them"???? God does not want his children to let Satan run all over them. If we're really God's kids...I gotta believe that God does provide protection for them just as I would definitely protect my 3 babies.

Some of us didn't throw the baby out with the bathwater God is still a God of Love & a source of help..heck I'll take his help anytime versus going at life alone!

Cathy..I have absolutely no problem as far as forgiveness goes..I realize that you have gone thru way too much for any one person who is TRYING their best for God..I get that.Many of us were in different positions in trying to "be" for God what we could be.TWI did alot of evil ...no doubt...TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE in my book..BUT we have to move on & love ourselves despite what they attempted to trick us into.(& succeeded at quite often) I was never Corps..your experience is one that other Corps gals can relate to a whole lot better than I could ever imagine.Their gun to our head..one of manipulation & fear motivation...did the trick & the pain was caused...now do we wallow in that for the rest of our lives and in attempting to "warn" or help people out of the organization...further encase ourselves in victimization? That's where I differ I suppose in that I'd LOVE to see you rise above it. Maybe I'm an idealist & its not possible. Rascal my dear...some people DON"T Pray...they run for it..many times. Jesus spoke many times about rebuking the ole devil & he'll flee & in remembering her telling the story..they all got outside & demanded that Satan stay off the premesis in the name of JESUS CHRIST & by gosh the ole twister hopped right over them!! Not a question of whether God "likes' any particular person or not, since God says of himself that he is ALL LOVE..but rather whether we utilize the powerful name of Jesus Christ to off set the power the stinkin' devil does have in this world. The World trade disaster in terms of prayers, I'm sure AFTER the planes hit...many prayers were said & many miricles did happen because of these prayers..but to insinuate that God didn't love or like the people in those towers after MEN did to the towers what they did...t'were't God who did it dear Rascal but men..& God then does what he's asked to do via the prayers of those who believe. I'm insulted by your post..but I know that you've consistently expressed the pain YOU personally have over & over & over..so I didn't think it would escape this post. Great Reply Long Gone!! LOL Guess I'm 1-18 in terms of people "siding" with my humble opinion. Ya know...My ex-wife was in a tornado situation while WOW in Flint Mi years back & partiscipated in prayers which hopefully would protect their little house. I don't know about you...but if a tornado or hurricane were bearing down on my place I'd sure use the name of Jesus Christ a few times rather than to just run & hide. In that MI prayer situation the tornado was ripping apart homes all around hers but not her house! I also agreee with many of your assessments regarding science...& yet spiritual influences can't be ruled out can they??

Whatcha think?? I know what a certain cult taught us for years..do you still believe it?..I know many dismiss there being any devil..to my mind... a convenient "out" of sorts. I personally think that Satan is alive & well & hurricans such as this as well as tornados etc are a direct result of his power. What is your take on this?? JJ

I personally LOVE THE Way (Since Jesus Christ said of himself "I am the Way, the truth & the life" I really don't care if the farm cult goes under or not..If people are stupid enough to ignore the warning signals (especially here on GSC)..then let the yes men continue on with one another...more power to them, as they are entitled to waste their life based on keeping their heads in the Way sand. But I do love God & Jesus Christ....THE WAY!

Belle...would you agree that God "wants" LOVE from each of us..since we're his Kids..I know I'd like to be loved now & then by my babies & I'm not saying I'm God or anything...& perhaps SIT is a loving thing to do "at " God..in some way perhaps it makes him feel loved by us being obedient & faithful to what he deems important..just a thought!!

Sure I speak in tongues....doesn't everybody??...remember THAT bumpersticker or calling card. I still believe you're letting your spirit pray when you SIT..so I LOVE doing it..especially on bike rides. Gotta side with what DMiller said initally on this thread...I think its super important to God that we SIT in our private prayer lives..I mean lets face it...you can't really screw it up & IMHO if you're "faking it" when its just you & God...then you might want to re-examine your agenda in praying via the spirit. Guess what I'm not too sure about is:whether we can REALLY direct our tongue to that which we picture. Might be..Might not be..the bible doesn't really say..but that doesn't prevent me from at least SIT ing for another...worst case scenerio..its still building me up in the inner man!! So I'll do it..what the hay..like to Sing in tongues ..in fact I like to sing heartily in tongues (S*IT)..especially after a filling meal... LOLOL

Jim...(from one Jim to another)...In all honesty...I was just trying to help a person who basically was "sleeping her life away" & TRYING to be a friend to the family..it really wasn't about me & being "right" & holding my doctrinal stance over her. I am with older people quite a bit nowadays, & see how quickly alot of them give up REALLy wanting to live & end up in depression & suicidal thoughts..& for me personally. I'd apprciate someone trying to "snap me out of it" in terms of giving up on life. To this day. we're still good friends & she has alot of respect for me. Got to share about the hope of Christs return as well in dealing with her btw...

My Buddy Karl from the area went out WOW in l985-l986..he was convinced at one time that the song "Sloop John B" by the Beach Boys was from da pit...as the repetitive line was "I wanna go home...why won't cha let me go home?"...oh how I wanna go home.......anyone remeber THAT one?? LOL

Hi ..I hope this doesn't "derail" this thread, & perhaps I ought to start a "new subject" thread on this..anyway..while in Florida this winter, I had a small apartment that was part of a large home & the gentleman I was renting from had a very very elderly mother who was hoping to die years & years ago..she's presently just a "stick" of a woman..almost all 84 lbs of her are l/2 of her former weight. Anyway, I knew she had done alot of sleeping during the day, which made it easy to look after her, as we were all just waiting for the day to come. One day, while she was eating breakfast, I "kinda" got on her about living life & giving up living (actually I was SUPER SUPRISED that she had lived this long with such a negative attitude towards WANTING to live..she instead explained to me her desire to go be with her deceased "boyfriend" of several years back. Well..having the big mouth that I have at times (when so inspired) I "got on her" about sleeping thru the day & rather than just sleeping & waiting for God to "take her",...why couldn't/wouldn't she decide to begin to just give to others...give people a little bless phone call or dang it "just do sumthun!!!!!!!"..got her pretty upset with me...but the next day she was up early & I could hear her gabbing away on the phone.LOL.. My q to you all out there...since I know I was taught that people die because they WANT to die....then why aint she gone?? At this moment she's still her 84lb self & can't wait to go & hasn't the guts to put the gun to the brow. Any of you have that belief that when you want to die...then the ole devil will gladly accomodate you? As I said this probably should be on a thread of its own & if the head dishwasher wants to make it one...feel free to & call it what you will!!

Replying to Rascal....If you re-read my post on this thread..I wasn't referring to POP "coming out differently" but rather the divorce I went thru at the time..as I was really opposed to the way THAT came out.

Yep..I get to join the 30 crowd as well as I Piffled in Jan of l975 & went WOW the following year to Wilkes Barre PA...left the field for "bucking the leadership" & finished my year in Flint Mi where I married my WOW sister a few months later...yeh I'd do it all again, as the rut I was buried in, while "playing Lutheran" was well worth digging out from under. As others..I ended up with 3 super kids and an eventual divorce in l989 after the POP floored us all...now that part I'd like to have seen turn out different...but so goes life eh??

Rascal...I get it that you bought into the whole deal & I hert for you as well that you were affected so adversely & all in the name of God to boot. I sure pray that you can eventually go back to scripture as far as studying as I'm sure you still apply it in your life. I'm just SOOOOOOOOO thankful that people some l8 years ago blew the whistle loud enough for all to hear..as we sure "thought" we were onto something great..almost like Paul persecuting the Christians before Jesus blew the whistle on him!! Hi...don't know what you charge..BUT if say you charge $30 or $29..or $59....call it $29 Dollar Tow service...makes a statement about the price right up front & is an immediate means of the customers comparison mentality. Put an astrick next to it with the subline of "prices may very...ask our representative"..but naming the price as the biz name is a good option IMHO

Smart girl Belle...its like I told a person when talking about this same subject ......."once I stepped outside of the Way...THEN I could see clearly with my own eyes"..but while within the walls..your narrowed perspective doesn't allow you to think outside the box! We're ALL guilty of being stupid (I submit)..but wise enough eventually to re-think it..once you're out in the fresh air! I am SUPER thankful to have shaken the Way dust off my feet & life! The curse we can get rid of is the constant rememinder that as a victim, we're dumb & still dumber..& thats a lie....don't let that victim within you keep you on the Way's trash heap..tell it to go to hell..that you're God's kid & a smart one at that..smart enough to leave.
