I agree Krysilis. I have utilized that feature hardly at all since being on gs because of exie's question about not understanding the purpose of it.

CES is in a Mess...

Thanks for the reply. So it's about 1:15pm your time. How hot is it over there in January? OK. So, you were in twi or at least took PFAL. Glad to hear Senegal is mostly peaceful for the moment. Sounds like a lucrative business you're in. Do you mind if I ask where do you call home? I'll pm you to answer your question. -

Bumpy, I don't know why, but I kind of like you so far. You shoot from the hip (haven't read all of your posts) and are asking some honest questions. Did you say you are NOT involved with CES, but had some association with JL? I'm trying to catch up here. Also, you have my sincere concern living on a continent where the muslim extremists are commiting genocide everyday for allah. Do you mind if I ask, why are you there? It must be something you really believe in and not just for the money. Forgive me if you've filled in these blanks before. But, I would say it would p@@@ me off if I were waken up EVERY MORING by that sheet blasting through the air. Do you understand what they're saying? If so, is yours one of the countries that blasts "death to America" everyday during prayer time? I know what it sounds like because they played it at prayer time all during the day when I was in the Middle East. Anyway, welcome and settle down and have some fun if you're so inclined. I welcome your perspective. -
Suffice to say, Rich, last time I saw him, he wasn't much interested in talking with me after he figured out I wasn't interested in CFF in the least--wasn't impressed by his teaching at all (actually, I wouldn't have attended the fellowship had I known they were having an ex-twi heavy rev speaker). It was just rehashed way stuffy stuff. He seemed kind of bored doing it.

Thanks, Suda. Haven't ever talked with the Hills--seemed like a nice couple, though. Did talk to Wayne Clapp once after he started CFF--seemed the same as always--not that that is necessarily good or bad imho. Arrogance was never one of his trademarks, imo. I'm glad to hear such good things about him :-)

GS, hey glad you're here and we do need your take on this. You brought up something that I have tried hard to correct during my ex-twi years, the true down in the trenches Christianity that you mentioned in bolded red above. Those are some of the things I believe the Lord wants us to do. It's amazing when I put in that kind of service, I always feel closer to HIM because HE, imo, is in it with me. Or, maybe I said that wrong: maybe I feel closer to HIM because I'm in it with HIM. There. I feel better now, lol. Exit waybrian (that darn thing keeps popping up when I'm not looking). Oh, and love the prophecy above, too. -

This week's theme: eponyms. jarvey (JAR-vee) noun 1. A hackney-coach driver. 2. A hackney coach. "The empty vehicle was waiting without a fare or a jarvey." James Joyce; Ulysses; 1922.

How funny! I know another GSer who gave one away last week to a fellow GSer when they bought new ones. Two in one week. We are truly wonderful people, aren't we?

Newcomer, Again, welcome. As I stated at the beginning of my reply, I wasn't offened that you addressed posters on this board as wounded at all. I would guess that few of us could honestly say we we've received no wounds in this life. Most are pretty honest about that here. As you've probably seen, we dialogue here. There is no set way to express your thoughts or your feelings. I am happy that you have expressed yours and have even recommended books that you have enjoyed reading. Again, you'll find most of us here are readers too and you may even learn about some good ones that others recommend. I reserve the right to sound the alarm on twi and its offshoots, having had first hand experience in both and their toxic effects. That does not in anyway mean I've not forgiven individuals who merely acted in ways they were trained in in the twi cult. Same goes for the offshoots. I totally forgive any and all who did anything unhealthy or harmful in my life because I, too, harmed others. But, I have enough love for those who are still struggling thinking churches are evil and not seeing anyway out of twi or offshoots to tell them that FREEDOM is out there waiting for you and it is the life you've been waiting and looking for. The control, manipulation, secrecy, and plain downright deception in these groups is what I reserve the right to bring to light here in these forums. Be creative by all means. I use that word all of the time. It is my right as an American to still freely express myself with my words. On second thought, that point may be debatable with all of the political correctness out there, but I digress. lol. I've reread my post and please believe me, "set a spell" does not mean you shouldn't talk. It's simply an invitation to get to know us better. -
IIIII"m gonna have to disagree with ya here, Tom. LCM must have read that the South wanted help from both England and France Here's a link that will explains Europe's involvement in more detail: Catton and McPherson's The American Heritage New History of the Civil War, chapter 6 http://www.civilwarhome.com/europeandcivilwar.htm

Vyctory, hi! True, about 1/3 of U.S. Presidents have been freemasons, but are you sure Grant was one of them? I don't think he was or he would be on the lists. Lee is also not on any freemasons list I've ever seen. If you know of some secret list, please fill us in. Where did this information supposedly come from? About the only benefit to owning a home in the South and being a freemason was if you had the freemason logo painted on the side of your home, as some did, your house was still there when you returned from the war or if you didn't return your widow and kids still a roof over their heads. Why? This applied only if the commanding officer of the troops was also a freemason and noticed some evidence of a fellow freemason owning the home they were planning to burn.

Could I have mine without calories, Groucho?
