  1. What? Did Ralph D pass away????
  2. Thanks, Pipes! Back to depression...so far no takers to my question if anyone KNOWS of someone who had a devil spirit or demon cast out and is now better and no longer has depression. Kinda what I thought and I'm really an optimist. Why else would I have believed that junk for so many years? Yes, I do believe Jesus cast 'em out. Yes, I do believe his followers cast 'em out. Yes, I do believe followers today can cast 'em out. But, no I know anyone who has had 'em cast out and is now better. So, logically speaking, seems to me the thing to do is to seek medical help so people can GET BETTER...instead of sitting around for 5 more years wondering why they feel depressed all of the time even though they supposedly had some cast out or changed their diet or whatever. Denial isn't a river in Egypt.....
  3. ((((Oeno)))) effin A! I cringe to think of some of the insane, ignorant twi advice I gave to people years ago. May the good Lord forgive each and every one of us for effin up so many good, tender hearted, Christian lives. wb
  4. blarney, hey, welcome! And, thanks for the link. It was beautiful. wb
  5. So thaaaaaaaaaaaat's why the edict came down. I had no idea!!! Thanks for filling in the blanks, copenhagen. Musta been early 70s I'm guessing...
  6. Good gawd, ET and WW, why don't you two take it outside! Only kidding....
  7. OK, then. I'll have to plead ignorance--haven't read that thread.
  8. Rascal, is it possible that he was more guilty of making some very bad jokes rather than being intentionally mean spirited?
  9. Hey Pipes, Thanks for clarifying that. Still, it is just warmed up twi teaching and they aren't the only ones--Evangelicals teach the same thing. Do you know anyone who has been "ministered to" for this and had a devil cast out and is now better? This is a serious question because if there are cases when someone recovered via this route and never had trouble with depression again, I would love to hear about it :-) (I am talking more like 5 or 10 yrs. ago, not 2 or 3 mos. ago type thing :-) There are all kinds of deliverance ministers out there who, for a price, will cast any number of things out of their clients, but I have never heard of any who had a genuine deliverance from those sessions.

    Face lifts

Thanks for the laugh. I needed that!!!
  11. This is the kind of teaching I would expect from CFF. Thanks for bringing that to our attention. The Middle Ages comment was quite appropo about superstition, et al. It's a good reminder that these people have no credentials and really don't know what they're talking about.
  12. Interesting dialogue. Thanks everyone. I DIDN'T believe all of it, ever. As Krys said, their attempt to "make" the Body of Christ work and operate and function together was, I thought Biblical. I had never seen another group even try, so that kept me involved for a long time. Looking back, if they had simply "let" the Body function, things would have been much better, imo.
  13. praying, dear... you are a sweetheart....
  14. I pulled that lame brained saying on my godmother one time and she said: We can CERTAINLY go beyond what we're taught. Duh. Of course we can and most of us on this board have gone way beyond it, Thank God.
  15. That sounds great, Pipes! I'm very happy for you and boss.
  16. Reminds me of a saying I like, Rascal: You're only as sick as your secrets. Smacks of truth, imho. Could apply here, ya think?
  17. I'm so glad it was a good one! Happy Belated Birthday, Jar!!!!
