Hi everyone, Which sites do you go to to find the best fares for next day travel? Sometimes I really need to travel with short notice and can never find a really good rate. Which sites do you use when you're in this situation? Thanks, wb

...still trying to post your present, Tom...

Let's see...did babysit for a couple of different revs. One was at hq and EVERYONE said their kids were great--weren't! The other rev/wif's kids WERE the best kids I've ever babysat for. They were soooo good. And one of 'em was funny as the dickins just like his dad. Did you say werk? Did a LOT in residence and helped do a little housecleaning a few times for limb/branch ldrs., but looking back, I was pretty good at not getting asked and didn't hardly EVER volunteer--in residence either. Figured everyone needed a little free time to keep their sanity. LOL! I totally believed the verse about taking heed unto thyself and if you didn't you wouldn't be any good to yourself or anyone else. I never bought into the scam the corps coordinators used constantly about volunteering every chance you got. I did volunteer, but not a lot. Also, never believed action = righteousness or believing.

GS wouldn't be the same without you, Mr. Strange. Have a blast! (Can't figure out how to post your "present.") wb

Great point, Fellowshipper! If Tom can take a woman's advice, then he may be able to cultivate a meaningful relationship.

ROFLMA, Hamm!!!!!!! (I'm sorry, JL, I'm not making fun of you, but you do give everybody the canned mantra about whatever it is that you are currently into). -
Psalmie, I'm so proud of you. what a sweet thing to do! We adopted a dog that had been abandoned. She was so grateful that we saved her. Really. One day I left the back gate open and she sat right there. She had no desire to run away and that's the truth. she knew this was her home. the backyard is so empty, now, becasue she went to be with the Lord Oct. 11th, but I still think of her sitting under her favorite tree. She loved us much! And, we her. Oh, and yes, I believe animals will be in heaven. The Lord rides a horse, doesn't he? Please keep us posted on how "your" little dog is getting along. wb

Dooj, I don't think we can really control who says what on which thread or the way in which they choose to say it. Certainly we can disagree with someone regarding the tone or the substance of which they have spoken, but to tell people what they can or can't say because we might not like it or agee with it is not going to happen. I, for one, have no interest in whether JL takes this place seriously. Also, I have not noticed anyone engaging him in dialogue because he has chosen not to come here openly. Some believe he certainly does read and post here and is anonymous. Whether that is true remains to be seem--or not. No one is expected to reveal his or her identity in order to post. -
Happy Birthday What a cool day for a birthday!

This one liner came to mind, Rascal as I read your msg. to cool: Thought for the Day: It's hard to be religious when certain people are never incinerated by bolts of lightning. -Bill Watterson, comic strip artist (1958- ), in his comic strip Calvin & Hobbes

Very good points, Belle, Danny, and Mr. Ham, and Abi, Let's just all not talk about it. We must be positive you know because that is what is right. Talking about splinter groups is negative so if we want to "do" the word, we will not discuss them here. Hopefully, everyone will just forget about all that has been exposed here, and go about their business as well they should. That's their job. Oh, and be prosperous so you can tithe as much as you can to the splinter of your choice. Thank you little ones. It's nice to be associated with those who are "on the word." mog of your choice -
PinkLady, Hi. I applaud your decision to come here and make friends and learn from others who have gone through similar experiences. I believe that GS and Al Anon's 12 Step Program are the best free therapy out there. Why Al Anon? It has worked for me because twi taught us to be co-dependent. Some of us have been all of our lives, even pre-twi, so even if I hadn't been involved with twi, it still would have helped me. The only requirement is to be a friend or family member of an alcoholic. Basically, they teach you how to love yourself first and then how to love others healthily, not co-dependently as twi did. I know that sounds backwards, but it isn't. I hope to see more of you around here :-) wb

I know, I'm pretty. Thanks, I'll just lap it up. Just lay it in the trough. -
Thanks, Griffp. I guess the media is getting a lot of mileage out of his not being for the war in Iraq, now. It was good of the reporter to withhold the information until he died, though.
