I was blown away by that movie when I was 11 years old but its pretty much forgotten now. You never see it on tv or in the video stores. That's a movie that really should be remade with today's technology.
This one's pretty easy, but I'm posting it because of the current trend of movies with a "Traxx" connection:
I say we drink the wine, eat the dogs, and use the paper for musket lining.
The character that said that line "John Billings" was played by local actor Leon Rippy who's appeared in several movies filmed in the Carolinas, including the infamous "Traxx" filmed in Wilmington.

I'm guessing that WW won't mind my adding a clue: the movie starred Danny Kaye. George

Once again, you posted a quote from a movie, where you could have posted 1/2 the script without me getting it, except for the one quote you posted. This was from early on in "Red Dawn."

Had to look it up.
There's such a thing as too easy ("We're sending you back to the future!") and there's such a thing as too hard. This one's way too hard.

hint 1.-The major is not in this movie and not a belly button to be seen but there is magic.

I believe Sharon is right, though I'm at a loss to guess the "Traxx" connection! (I'm SO ashamed!) :)-->

He was "Killer." I'm sure it was a big part.

Oddly, that was NOT the same scene the character who said that got her
face slapped by her mother.
