Oh my God! It's headed right for Florida! I mean Georgia! I mean South Carolina!

Why do I get the feeling this thing will ultimately pose a threat to Britain?

Haha, the weather guessers are ever helpful, what with all their fancy computer models and whiz-bang software.

Still, nothing satisfies me more than seeing the inevitable live action news mini-cam crew standing outside next to some seawall during a hurricane to demonstrate to the world that, yep, it's really, really, really windy outside and raining like a beeyotch!

Now it's headed right for North Carolina.

This is why I stopped posting cone threads a few years ago.

Even if it hits New England, it will be the first US landfall of a hurricane in two years.

made a pretty big mess of Long Island, NJ and Lower Hudson Valley.....then Vermont.

We have water all over. Every place you want to get to requires a detour around a lake or river!

We have friends who live on LBI. Any word on damages to that area?

I had a big old tree come down on my shop which is annoying but not the end of the world--others have it much worse---our water is subsiding and I never lost power.

Anyone heard from Excie? I saw on CNN where her town got evacuated...
