Think about it lying sideways while drinking a glass of wine.

That helped. James Spader?

Paul Giamatti

So this sounds now like it's

a free post anyway.

Boy, what a delayed reaction. I got it!:doh::doh::doh:

I saw Sideways just recently, and had gained a new fondness for Mr. Giamatti. Anyway, this was for Raf. You're clue sailed right over my head and I just caught it now.

Bartender! Drinks all around. :eusa_clap::eusa_clap::offtopic:

No, because

Name the actress

Vicki Lester

Hannah Brown

Esther Smith

Betsy Booth

The only other role I would use is the giveaway.

And

Dorothy Gale

And

I was tempted to say Honor Blackman, but she was CATHERINE Gale.

I suspect that we're talking about Judy Garland.

Looking for an actor.

Freddie Fillmore

Ralph Ramsey

Dickie Davis

AK Bailey

Clifford Hastings

Harry Frisby

Aloysius Kilgallen

Oliver Benson

R.L. Nielson

Rocky Stone

Cecil B. Pomeroy

Dr Pavlov

You may have trouble remembering his name, but you'd recognize him by voice for certain, and probably by face.

He's got a lot of roles with names like "Salesclerk" and the like, but no official name.

I guarantee that if you heard him say a specific word, you'd remember him.

And I would not accept "no" on that suggestion. Noo, I would not.

Well, that's all I can tell you. It's that guy who often introduces himself to the main character by turning around and saying "Yyyyyyessss?" I picture Lucille Ball as his foil, though I'm sure she's not the only one.

Now I'm pretty sure whom you mean. I just don't remember his name! :asdf:

Can you remember SOMETHING beyond what Raf posted?

She was neither the first nor last comedian for whom he served as a foil. He did, however, play at least 3 roles

in the "I Love Lucy" show alone.

Well, he was balding, but with dark hair, an aquiline nose, and usually had a big smile with his "Yessss."

George

His name was "FRANK NELSON."

("Sgt Nelson" shared his last name.)

He did voiceover work for a number of cartoons (like the Flintstones) through the decades.

He began in RADIO and was a foil for Jack Benny, among others.

Often imitated, but never quite duplicated.

Ok, whichever one of you 2 can have it. Raf had the 1st specific answer, but if he's not in the

mood to post, George can take it.
