Part of this reminds me of my own early experiences, all those years ago. Everyone seemed so happy, joyful, "We sure do love you" and all that jazz. Different from mainstream churches. Love bombing at its best. Somehow, I don't see it ending well.

Thank you for the response, Waysider.
I don't have a hidden agenda, I just want to kick it around with somebody.
Oh man, where to start? I mean, I've been on message boards and somebody will post some hilarious stage show of Christian entertainment. Goofy...looks like it's Mormon or something. Nnnnnaaahhh, I know exactly who those people are... That one woman's name is Trudy ... If I wasn't cultured I'd say it looks gay AF, but I'm cultured so I won't say it.
No doubt, I can recount my own drama with the Way back then. Just, how many can acknowledge experiencing something good as well? I mean, aspects of it were the real deal. I was high as a kite those two weeks I mentioned. Probably got some deliverance without anyone praying specifically about that.
I mean, what about these churches!? Anyone get caught up in the IHOPKC drama? I've got stories about that, too. Morningstar Fellowship in the Carolinas... I went to some John Lynn Conferences as well.
Zionism? Gaza? I know that's the body of Christ but I find most Evangelicals repugnant.
So, here I am, lone wolf Christian, member of the body of Christ.
Everybody I met last week was cool. You know, I gingerly want to see what they're about.
One thing I can say about the Way, it looks like they never discovered good worship. Looks like they still do the performances. The rest of Evangelical Christendom has long known about something much more experiential with the Holy Spirit.
For many of us here, it would take a lot more than people being friendly and joyful to overcome the darkness the organization embraced for many years.
If you go to ROA 2025, let us know what you think.
Thank you, Rocky
I'm just going to check it out. Done a lot of churching these past 35 years and I don't have anything. People starving to death and these clowns want to 'pray for Israel'. I'm so disgusted.
Just got off the phone with an area coordinator who was a WOW ambassador to my area 38 years ago. Even then he was somebody who apparently had a good upbringing. Naturally friendly, positive and stable.
He's been with The Way this whole time!?
He looks to five years ago as a turning point. Said they got legalistic under Martendale (I'm just the reporter, here) and even moreso for 20 years under his successor. All the time they were (pick one: believing for; praying for; looking for- gotta use the right code ;-) )...they wanted a turn around all that time.
So yeah, I want to talk more. New Wayfers; still Wayfers; once again Wayfers. I'm particularly interested in honest assessments of what was all that!? What just happened!? And then of course, is it a viable alternative to Zionist churches? I don't need the approval of dogmatic Trinitarians and worshippers of the Rothschild, Ashkenazi, fake, totalitarian, genocidal idol.
900 WOWs going out, evidently the most since VPW was alive. If I go to the Rock I'll let you know.
I mean, what about these churches!? Anyone get caught up in the IHOPKC drama? I've got stories about that, too. Morningstar Fellowship in the Carolinas... I went to some John Lynn Conferences as well.
I got very caught up with the Bickle sexual abuse scandal and the IHOPKC coverup and how similar it was to weirwille's and twi's. What did you know about the latter and what is twi saying about it now? There's no way I respect twi today for their lies and coverup for this man. Do they still call him "the man of God for our day and time" or just their "father in the word?"
I didn't go WOW myself. I was fresh out of college and despite the prevailing culture, I wanted to keep control of my life and for the first time become unpoor.
To this day I can't say if I lacked trust or if I exercised prudence. I can say this, I didn't have the bitter fall that others did.
After the Army about 5 years later when I was going to 'give in' and go WOW, the coordinator or whoever discerned I didn't have the right attitude and said 'no'.
I just filed for social security and I never did get unpoor. I did spend 3 years in China as kind of a missionary English teacher.

Former IHOPPer! This is great! When were you there!? I hope everybody here knows about Willow Creek Church; Gateway Church; Bishop Eddie Long; Ravi Zacharias; Todd Bentley; Daystar; TBN, Celebration Church, etc, etc. If not, newsflash, The Way was not alone.
I loved the worship at IHOPKC (horrific murder/suicide/cult incident there). Like The Way, I never got involved in their programs (Intro to IHOP; IHOP University; Fire in the Night, etc). Eventually, they kicked me out. For one thing, as you might guess, I wasn't a fan of their 'Israel Mandate'.
You're asking the same things I'm asking. How are they processing ALL that happened? I mean, all of it. What's most important for me now, where are they at and where are they going? These are the conversations I'm looking for but I'm not going to grill anyone like they have to meet my approval. So far everyone has been open and kind.
I did listen to one of Craig Martindale's recent teachings on You Tube. Now, there's a resurrection, huh? He still holds Dr Wierwille in highest regards. Don't know about the Way just yet.
Someone else may have a different definition but they're a bunch of cold, heartless devil worshippers...
Seriously, look at Phil 3:3; Heb 8:7-13 and Acts 2:37,38
Now consider this, a bunch of atheist Ashkenazi, rabbinic, Talmudic, tribal Jews murder (Tantura; Deir Yassin, etc) their way into conquering the "Holy Land" and call it Israel and we're supposed to believe it's some resurrection of the obsolete theocracy that came to an end in 70 AD. Oh yeah, they also happen to host the most gay friendly city in the world and they're currently starving to death 2 million people (the ones not being raped in their prisons).
You struck a cord, I could go on all day.
Your earlier question, I don't know about The Way and four crucified nor have I followed the logic to prove that myself.
Not a foundation doctrine. Simply illustrative that the Word fits together with 'mathematical exactness and scientific precision'. I have plenty of loose ends, we can next talk about Are the Dead Alive Now. I'm somewhere between NT Wright and Kat Kerr...
Tel Aviv, of course. Self proclaimed. You should go.
Your statement about logic is just sophomoric, I'm sorry. I don't think I need to explain
It’s based on a mistranslation of ἐντεῦθεν καὶ ἐντεῦθεν. Bullinger got it wrong, but he shouldn’t have. Wierwille, not a real doctor, regurgitated without first checking the math and science.
By the logic of the four-crucified hermeneutic, there should have been a pretty big party at the empty tomb.
I don’t need you to agree. You can find out for yourself. Or not.

Yeah, that's all over my head right now. Anytime I read an English word and thought 'that doesn't sound right' I checked the Greek definition and found out 'that's what it means'. I quit looking up Greek words just like I didn't trace out every major argument PFAL made.
For me that would have been majoring in a minor. For John Schoenheit or Mark Graser, that was probably major.
I was born again as a child in a Baptist church. For me to rediscover at 23 that God is real and he knows me and loves me and I'm not just 'dust in the wind', that was a really big deal.
At around age 35 it was Morningstar Fellowship and angels are real and people can see them and people can "hear" God... wwwwoooowwww...at that point I didn't even know a stream of thoughts in my mind was God speaking to ME. Still don't see much of anything. Talked to/heard from plenty of folks who have seen or gone to Heaven. A lot of them, not celebrity preachers.
Where am I going with this!? I guess to say there is a lot I haven't locked down, yet. I'm still on the path. Never going to be a groupie anywhere. Might always be on the fringes, who knows? But, as time passes I get a more God-centric worldview. That's a handy thing to take into 'old age'.

Ah, but what's their religion? The people I met, I don't think they want any part of the old religion, either.
Not trying to ruffle feathers. I was just wondering if anyone was open to redemption and restoration. It may not be there, I have no idea.
I have no interest in Zionist churches. Really, I don't have much interest in gatherings that focus on professional Christians giving weekly speeches.
If anyone still has interest in the book of Acts, Tom Wadsworth on You Tube has a lot to say that I find interesting.

I wonder if they still throw darts at a map to make assignments. They're gonna need a pretty big map, I suppose.

Which city would that be?
Well, you claim to have been involved in the late ‘80s. Four Crucified was a foundational doctrine.
Logic will only be a stumbling block if you ever try to “prove” it yourself. It’s easier to “prove” if you toss logic into the discard pile.
