I just realized that this song only has two verses and a chorus that gets repeated A LOT.  Here's the other verse with the title redacted:

In her younger days, they called her [TITLE]
Prettiest woman you ever laid eyes on
Then a man of low degree stood by her side
And he promised her he'd take her for his bride

George

It did get air time, but yeah, a little on the obscure side.

In my time I've wandered everywhere

Around this world, she would always be there

Any day, any hour, all it takes is the power in my hands...

22 hours ago, Raf said:

They say no one's gonna play this on the radio.
They say melancholy blues are dead and gone.
But only songs like these played in minor keys
Keep those memories holding on.

I'm not certain, at least for me, but I think you can quote this entire song Raf. and I'm not going to get it.

It used to seem to me that my life ran on too fast

And I had to take it slowly just to make the good part last.

But when you're born to run, it's so hard to just slow down,

So don't be surprised to see me back in that bright part of town.

  • 2 weeks later...

I'll be [Title]

All the doors I closed one time will open up again.

I 'll be [Title]

All the eyes that watched me once will smile and take me in.

...

...

And we'll drink and dance with one hand free

Have the world so easily

Sure will be a sight to see...

Hint: it was used in a beer commercial once, as the title incorporated the name of a beer [incidentally. Not a deliberate allusion].
