Honestly.  No idea.

And, having read Raf's reply, I feel no less a man because of it.  :spy:

Well, it's counting in German, French, and Italian.  But I have no idea what the song is.

The consensus is clear.  We don't get it.  Time to move on?

You said they were "counting."  What does that mean, to count?  And if you can't answer that question, is there a 5-year old nearby that you can ask to explain what counting is?

Ah.  It must be "Ordinal Numbers" by Euclid.

George

George said "NUMBERS", which is the title of this Kraftwerk song, so it's his turn.

The PREVIOUS song (the one I liked) by Kraftwerk was "Trans Europe Express."

(WordPup prefers "Numbers.")

When Rachel shares my pillow

She always asks me things

Like do I really think she's pretty?

And do I like the way she sings?

I don't know how to answer,

So I only smile and say,

I say send me...

Sometimes Rachel stands up in the middle of the bar

And does a scene from the late show.

We all clap our hands as she puts her apron on

And swears 'next week, I'm gonna go.

She'll even buy her ticket and pack her things to leave

We all know the story. We pretend that we believe.

But something always comes up

Something always makes her stay

And still, no....

Send me [partial title]

Signed "With Love, Forevermore"

[Full title]

To hang on my refrigerator door.

And Rachel, if you find me one, I'd love a picture of the California sun.

...

[Last lines same as the first]

I'm the piano player

Down at Eddie's bar

And Rachel

She's the waitress

Who wants to be

A star.

New songs, same artist.

Name any of the three songs to take the round.

***

She asks me how the cat's been.

I say "Moses? He's just fine.

But he used to think about you all the time.

We finally took your picture down off the wall.

XXXXX how do always seem to know just when to call?"

She says "Get yourself together.

Bring Mose and drive real fast."

And I listen to her promise, "I swear to God this time it's gonna last."

***

And there are lines upon my face

From a lifetime of smiles

But when the time comes to embrace

For one long last while

We can laugh about it, how time really flies

We won't say goodbye, 'cause true-love never dies
