Movies that are screaming to be remade

Now that there's a remake of "Herbie the Love Bug" in the works, and "The Longest Yard" is soon to be in general release, I thought it would be fun to start poking fun at Hollywierd and predict what remakes are coming out next.

How about a remake of "Plan 9 from Outer Space"?

Or perhaps a remake of "The Towering Inferno"?

A live-action version of "The Jetsons Movie"?

Adam Sandler and Chris Rock in a remake of the classic "The Longest Yard" is a travesty. The commercials are so lame I can't imagine how bad the movie must be.

They should remake The Long Trailer originally starring Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball. Was *that* a POS or what?

Of course, Hollyweird has a motto - what's worth doing, is worth doing again and again and again and again and . . .

I dunno, maybe it could actually work. Maybe a different plot, use a different country as a backdrop, rewrite the story line, enlist several more award-winning actors willing to take a chance, and it might actually do something at the box office this time, heh heh.

In other words, keep it completely the same, but change everything.

Another remake should be Howard the Duck. *That* would be a hoot!

It was "They Live." Definitely a classic that would benefit from a CGI remake.

Or maybe that other Rowdy Roddy blackbuster:

"Hell Comes to Frogtown."

I miss Rhonda Shear's "Up All Night" on USA. There's no place to see great cinema like that anymore.
