  2. Honey Don't For anyone interested, HERE is the original by Carl Perkins.
  3. I think this is a typical post from someone who claims we should forgive and move on, and that now the ministry has a new twist. Besides that....forgiveness is a release from guilt, but it doesn't imply the restoration of a relationship. Because that requires repentance, which in TWI's case is asking for forgiveness from the people they have harmed and acknowledging that Wierwille was a plagiarist and that he harmed/abused many people. And we all know that TWI WILL NEVER DO THAT. And I do not agree about "The new face of TWI", because TWI appears different on the outside but internally it is still basically the same - a cult. For those asking, YES, TWI has been promoting ROA 25 as an "open christian festival" and encourages people to invite friends (even if they are outside the ministry), However that is the same old lie to appeal to young people. Have a good day!
  4. Today
  5. Sorry. Got a lot on my plate, these days. I need to pay closer attention.
  6. Let me try to narrow this down. It is one of 11 Ringo Starr songs (with The Beatles) in which he sang lead vocals. Obviously this isn't "Octopus's Garden" or "With A Little Help From My Friends", or "Yellow Submarine". So there you go. There's only 8 more songs to choose from. Ringo sang lead on one song on almost every album by ~The Beatles~`. They had 12 studio albums. Come on. This is pretty easy breezy.
  7. Let me check my notes. 1-Correct- Abraham Lincoln, at 6'4". (LBJ was second, at 6'3 1/2".) 2- Correct- James Madison, at 5'4". 3- Correct- William Howard Taft, at 322 lbs/340 lbs, depending on the source. 4- Correct- James Madison, at 122 lbs. 5= Well, I'll call it CORRECT because it was Taft, with a BMI of 42.3. Even Taft's height couldn't shake that. 6- Incorrect. He was pretty lanky, but there were other lean Presidents who had a lower BMI. BTW, I'm showing results that said the lowest was a President whose BMI was 25.3, and there was no way to calculate the BMI of another. That having been said, all that's needed to calculate it is the height, the weight and the formula. The lowest BMI of any President so far was 20.9, once it's actually calculated. So, that just leaves #6 unanswered.
  8. So long as it was presented, and even promoted to a point, but not made mandatory/indoctrination, I think it would help, at least as far as was stated on that page. On paper, I think it is a good thing. In moderation, I think it would benefit society. In practice, if it caught on a lot, I think there would be a rude surprise in that- once it took on FORMAL structures and FORMAL doctrines- it would start to suffer from some familiar problems. I'm well aware there are people who say much the same as this- without any structure to draw from, and live their lives with a view towards making the world a better place. I'm well aware that some of those people are atheists or agnostics. But, it would be INEVITABLE that structures and doctrines would form. It's been that way through all of history, and I would not trust anyone who claimed it was only a possibility. Once those formed, it would become an organization. Once that happened, we would find SOME people using it for their own ends- hypocrites who mouthed its tenets but looked to get what they could from the system, people looking to skim off some money and pocket it, people in it for the authority of the offices, and so on. I think that, for the most part, the ideas are good. I think that, should this gain a lot of popularity, it would replace one set of structures with another one. Eventually, everything someone might complain about if there were a religion would appear- dogmatism, corruption, etc. I'm also aware some people alive now would probably swear up and down such a thing could never, and would never, happen. But then, every group has their fanatics, and fanatics have never been strong on reflection and examining the evidence or their conclusions. So, yes, a positive thing, but overall, a lot less effective than you're thinking.
  9. Romeo + Juliet Vondie Curtis-Hall Die Hard 2
  10. I think I answered most of these when I gave a similar clue. Abe Lincoln James Madison William Taft James Madison (again) I'm tempted to say Taft again, but a shorter, lighter President may have had a lower BMI. Coolidge? This might be Lincoln again. He was pretty lanky. George
  11. There will never be a perfect world, but do you think if humanism was promoted more so that more people could choose to live accordingly (instead of living religiously), this would be a positive thing for societies? Below is some information about what people would learn about humanism. What is Humanism?
  12. Ok, next one. The category is US history, to be specific, US presidents. Please name which US President was 1) the tallest US President 2) the shortest US President 3) the heaviest US President 4) the lightest US President (based on the Body Mass Index/BMI rating..... who was 5) the fattest US President/President with the highest BMI 6) the leanest US President/ President with the lowest BMI Answer at least 2, and we'll see if we can get all of them filled in.
  13. David Harbour Violent Night John Leguizamo George
  14. Bill Miller Bill Baker Al Crowthers Larry Todd Joe Anthony Rick Todd George
  15. That'd be Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up".
  16. IIRC, Joe Maslow arrived just before him, curious about those. I know he got SOME answers. He was also a lot nicer about asking.
  17. If one is insulted by another’s observation, then the insulted will be the sole participant in the insult.

  19. As I recall, when you first started posting here, you said you were looking to expand your knowledge and operation of the revelation and impartation manifestations. How would you rate your experience in that regard?
  20. I think I see what you mean and the issue is complex for sure. (Bold print above.) I had a good friend who is now deceased, Al, who believed that every person is born with God's will in their heart, irrespective of whether they're born again or not. The conscience to do good works, if you will. The bible teaches this too, in Romans. Charity I'm going to shorten my response here and ask that you listen to the link below a couple of times and see if it makes sense to you relating to this discussion. https://www.desiringgod.org/interviews/how-is-the-law-written-on-every-heart
  21. Alright, you can conflate this one thread that I started with the entire board and every other thread. You can do that but you are also being called out. You can conflate regular board members with those being identified as authorities here but you are being called out for that, too. I am not enjoying my interactions with WordWolf, Nathan Jr and Rocky. I'm not going to respond to them anymore. If I am faulted for something I'm doing or not doing please take note that I chose disengagement over distasteful tit for tat. If it simply comes down to mob rule then my time here is done, anyway. Honest, that's not what I came here for.
  22. Glad I asked. I would never have known otherwise. :)
