"The problem's plain to see, too much technology"

Hi, I know you weren't addressing me but that was sweet anyway. Yes, I've been kindly run off in the past. On another occasion I had a nice conversation with a worker but he had a bad case of potty mouth. That was in the middle of the bitter years and I'm sure to him it signaled 'Im not religious' I want to poke my nose in and see what's up. Evidently, no one else shares that sentiment. All good. All love. I'll report back for the one, two, two and a half that might be interested. I absolutely hope they're doing well, that would make me happy. If we have sown spiritual things for you, is it a great thing if we reap your material things? 1 Cor 9:11 If we're going to just disavow the word isn't there some nice satanist forum out there!?
-
Welcome, Lulu. Whatever happened to you, we probably understand. Yah. LCM's screaming sessions at "Corps Nights." The foulness of his mouth. The hatred that was in his words. The wanton slander of those he didn't like, or who had offended him in some way. And he was "a man of God" ?????????????

Love you man. No, I'm not having much fun, here. Look at all this negativity. If only someone would have taught us to make God's word our own!? Then, we'd be walking with Jesus and not sitting around crying about decades old offenses. I love the truth tellers and honestly, a lot of them aren't Christian. But, they're speaking truth to power and that just warms my heart. Baldwin seems like an angry man. Well, rightfully so. But I've known great joy in the Lord and I can't camp out at angry. Then, there are a bunch of ministries centered on Holy Ghost whack. Spiritual drunkenness. Joy in the Lord. I'm stuck in the middle somewhere and I don't know how to navigate these waters. Thankfully I have few pressures and responsibilities and I can take on this challenge to figure out where my mind and emotions should be. My nose will stay in the Word.

I do my video chats via WhatsApp. Much more stable than Zoom, no time limit on call length. Haven't used Skype in a hundred years.

It seems to me that many are attacking JoyfulSoul without any reason so to do. JS called by at HQ and found it a reasonably pleasant place. It seems to me that JS is no newbie and has been around a bit, and won't be easily sucked into the cult again. JS won't be going in to make waves, just to observe. The difficult questions to ask of TWI can come later. Why can't some here just be quiet and listen to what JS has to say? No good saying "we don't know what's going on there" and then shooting any messenger who happens by. We know that no casual visitor is going to see, much less get to the bottom of, TWI's wickedness. But if TWI are even remotely friendly, it'll be a change from passers-by being strong-armed off the premises by "bless patrol."

Hi Lulu welcome to the Spot. Am curious.... Were you and your husband threatened to be terminated from the Corps if you didn't sell the house?
-
Yes JoyfulSoul, mainly oldies music but am also a fan of anything old old old. Like old records, old furniture, old coins... you get the picture... collectibles... I watch Pastor Baldwin love his biblical knowledge... don't immediately agree with everything he says, but try to understand his point of view. I do not watch/listen to Candace Owens, mainly because I watch others that take up most/all of my time. Hope you're having some fun here... keep on posting brother...

Zoom seems to be disruptive technological innovation in the realm of video and audio telecommunications these days.

Around 1979, I took my first PFAL class. I was only 15. I continued on with the indoctrination, ran home fellowships, served in Way Productions, worked on the grounds crew and graduated with the 17th Corps. Those 3-4 hour 'Corps nights' with LCM constantly screaming and relentlessly berating people were especially brutal. After our graduation, my husband and I finally bought a small house. However, we quickly sold that house within 2 years because of the the no debt policy. Crazy times. After years of abuse, I finally found the strength to get out in the year 2000. This web site has been helpful for me. It is good to know I am not alone. Thanks to all who shared their stories on this forum.

I realized my initial pick was way too recent, so I'll switch to a much more reasonable one. "The problem's plain to see"

I had a very interesting stop at HQ
Junior Corps Surviver replied to JoyfulSoul's topic in About The Way
The foolish man built his house upon the sand and the rains came down and the floods came up... Glad they were nice to you. They are a poorly researched, mean spirited cult who worshipped a man and paid the price. They turned a blind eye to assaults of all kinds, theft, adultery, abuse of children and they separated families. This went on for decades, heck half a century plus. But I am glad they were nice to you. -

I rarely watched Dallas, but I remember the big "Who shot JR?" to-do. New one soon. George

Yeah, I remember my first twig and being broke and not conditioned to donating my scarce money. They're trying to be free with the ministry but need to see the money coming in- even if it's sincerely to see us grow Spiritually. God set it up that way and there is tension.
