I would agree that the concept was MAINLY isolated to people at the top of the organization.. like "they" say, the cops have the best dope in the world.. I dunno.. I think this kind of teaching.. the spirit is holy, the flesh is merely flesh.. kinda made people schizophrenic. Like you have two personalities, a good guy, a bad guy.. I remember merely asking a few questions of someone in the 1970's about having morals of a Guinea Pig.. not really being accusative.. the easy going party guy went away, and I was talking to the "spirit guy", "DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH MY RIGHTEOUSNESS!!" I was waiting for his head to start spinning around.. I think it's like.. there's two of them in there, and they have come to some kind of agreement.. "you don't touch my women, beer or dope, and I'll be nice, and let you look important when you teach in fellowship.." Who knows.. maybe these people were screwed up to begin with..

You know your circumstances better than I do, but I wonder GENERALLY how much pot related that kind of experience is vs. character related.. I've seen people who for lack of better words, are not able to fully function in society. Pot was the least of their problems. More of a symptom of something bigger.. couldn't function very well without it.

Yep.. and some of us can't afford the possible consequences of loss of scholarships, financial aid, even student loans.. ham radio licenses, which ARE viewed as a government grant, and convictions are considered when one is applying or renewing. Too many consequences.. But I think the current "zero tolerance" policy against such a broad spectrum of substances, which range from basically harmless to deadly lethal, is not a policy in people's best interest. I kind of side with number 8..

One thing I can say.. if you REALLY "see the light".. you don't mind if your a** gets kicked in the process of at least attempting to do what's right.. :) I don't think there are any real shortcuts for some people in some situations..

pros: 1. It gets you high. cons: 1. It gets you high. That is the objection or agenda on both sides of the issue.. I think, live and let live. There are far worse substances that are REALLY worth addressing..

and not to mention, young, and NO HEALTH PROBLEMS. They have been known to turn out staffers that are advancing in years, and present a health "liability".

Actually, I expect nothing. At least I won't be disappointed. I personally don't think he has the needed character to really set anything right, any more than loy, or the other cronies.. won't happen. I think they honestly don't have the capacity to consider what they've done without destroying themselves.. That is a lot of baggage to carry into a new "ministry" or endeavor.. I wonder if he remembers screaming at people, practically pimping for vic, slandering somebody who thinks adultery is wrong, as he boldly proclaims "da word".. I really don't think so. I think it's like Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde.. he could be a nice guy, that some here have met, then turn around, drink some of vic's koolaide.. and turn into a beretta wielding thug.. so Dr. Jeckyl breaks off from der vey, starts a new practice somewhere.. he took so much baggage along with him.. I don't think he is doing anybody a real favor.

Larry, I saw that there was at least one post while I was posting. I just quickly edited it so that you knew it was for you. What he's currently doing is one thing.. what he did before is another. Only thing I'm suggesting is that there are a WHOLE HECK OF A LOT of people that he is not at peace with. I'm only one of them. He helped cover up corruption and abuse that if exposed, I would have left in a heartbeat. And that is precisely WHY the junk is and was covered up. He honestly must think that I am merchandise, secondary or tertiary to "da will of gawd". I am only slightly annoyed.. imagine those who had to put up with his wrath.. Based on his track record, nobody in their right mind would ordain him to even mow the lawn.. let alone teach the bible.. and he himself has let the record stand. So what to do? Hmmm. Get an honest job.. maybe even go back to school.. or.. ordain yourself. Just break off, start a new organization.. "water seeks it's own level" I dunno.. maybe it looks a little harsh, but I think politics beats religion here.. can you imagine the furor, if he were to attempt to run for public office?

Few more thoughts for Larry about the restitution thing.. Romans 12:18 If it be possible, as much as in you lieth, be at peace with all men. I think this is a universal truth, that some of these guys are ignoring. To their own peril. I've seen some people have some pretty bad practical consequences by not heeding this.. it always seems to have a way to come back and bite a person in the a**. blaming it on the devil for being "mean" to oneself.. or blaming others is pretty fruitless.

Looking at it even BIBLICALLY.. maybe that's why it says an "overseer" is to be BLAMELESS. What I see in these (not all!) offshoot guys.. with their track record, nobody in their right mind would ordain them for any legitimate position. Soooo.. what to do? Ordain YOURSELF. "You'll be sorrrrrrrry.."

It's just.. I really think, if a person can't "come clean", be honest.. they are better off letting somebody else enjoy the "icing on the cake", i.e. "teaching the word".. Maybe this isn't too far off the topic here.. maybe "where's Chris Geer?" is a good philosophical question..

Mistakes are one thing.. I would suggest if he CANNOT at least ADDRESS his "mistakes", he is not qualified for "office". People point to the apostle Paul.. well, he was a MURDERER. He admitted it. He called himself the chief of SINNERS. I can't say he SATISFIED every person he wronged, or every relative of Stephen, or others, or relatives of others he harmed. He admitted he persecuted the Church of God. I don't see this in some of these other guys.. "I was a pistol bearing thug in a cult, practically a PIMP for der 'man of gawd', I defamed, slandered and worse.." Instead, they just "move on" with "the GREATNESS(?) of der verd.." No, I'm not angry, at the moment. It's just an observation. I don't think he's doing anybody any favors. How would a person feel, to find their best friend was secretly a cannibal, or worse.. these moggie types have too many people following them that eventually may be blindsided with this crap.. and he hasn't cleaned it up. I wouldn't argue with your personal experience.. but. I really don't think they are doing anybody any kind of favor. The evil they did in the past WILL catch up with them, sooner or later. Geer was practically a friggin pimp, a pistol toting thug.. What kind of damage does that really do to the trust a person has in others? "well, I thought he was a nice guy.." I think without addressing past evil and making restitution, he's just spreading more evil around..

WAP "repackage" of pfal- I forget how much.. it wasn't free. loy's "new and improved" advanced class.. I forget.. but it was in hundreds.. plus two "pfal" classes, repackaged from an offshoot. Every time I hear "you gotta take this class.. it's the finest since Paul invented liver and onions.." I think they are trying to sell an eskimo snow in the winter..
