  1. Yep. And MANY of the mark and avoid incidences regarding homosexuality were performed under FAR LESS accumulation of real evidence. Men that would rather play with their children, and do family activities rather than hunt or fish, were a prime target.. At least here. No kidding. That was what they actually said about one individual I know of. "We just KNOW something is wrong with him because of this.." Rascal, I smell the foul stench of "leadership" in all this. "Well, move along. Nothing more to see.. time to get on with something else". Don't think so. Sorry, I'm not "following" any more.
  2. Bob, the only two things I can say is: 1. I voted 2. I'm a Pink Floyd fan.. I think Dark Side of the Moon is among the best of their works.. Now I can't get that darn song out of MY head..
  3. In a strange sort of way, I wish he would..
  4. Well, that's not EXACTLY true all the time, at least not for everybody.. :D-->

No, not so much as a character. I remember him as well mannered, intelligent individual.
  6. Hey! I know its a bad habit, but it is at least self-entertaining.
  7. I think Paw oughta really think about doing something about this.. :)--> Just not fair..
  8. Lifetime commitment.. And I think the whole aim of the corps was to provide "christian training" on par of that of the Marine Corps.. Yet even the Marine Corps is hardly a lifetime commitment. Sure, they "own" your a**, but only for a limited period of time. You get trained, do your time, and you can move on, retire, or make it a lifetime commitment. Your choice. I'm sure the Marines have a LITTLE say if they want you hanging around twenty or so years though.. "A lifetime of christian service" did seem to turn into "a lifetime of servitude".
  9. Good grief.. being accused of allegedly being lesbians is the LEAST of their problems.
  10. I dunno if loy entered his presidency in this fashion, but "they" sure turned him into a fainthearted, miserable SOB.. Still doesn't excuse his actions.
  11. ah yes.. and the "bribes carry devil spirits" thing.. How many "bribes" were marched through loy's office, motorcoach, and other locations? I think he took his problems out on the wrong crowd. I just wonder.. is it possible he was on to something, until vic put the freeze on the "seed" stuff? If so, wasn't vic just so "spurtual".. "cmon, boy, time to get on with something else.." Maybe it belongs in doctrinal, but I think the subject directly reflects on vic's judgement..
  12. Well, it would make sense.. other posters who knew rosie personally describe her as adept in lying, and basically as a conniving, vicious little snake..
  13. Plus the "result" of their "oversight" did for the ministry the same thing the sons of belial did for the tribe of Benjamin.. decimated it. Oh well.. who knows.. just a thought.
  14. Lessee.. who fits THAT description? I remember loy's presentation like it was yesterday. 1. Out from among YOU.. that fits. 2. Withdrawn the inhabitants- exhibit extraordinary leadership "ability".. that one fits 3. "Let us serve other gods".. sure got loy to serve HIMSELF.. and US- the bot, and leadership.. Interesting.. Perhaps the almighty was trying to tell loy himself something personal.. something going on right in his own back yard, before the roof really caved in.. I think things are far worse in that stinkhole than we first imagined..
  15. Well, this assumes a lot.. that they have a reputation worth saving to begin with. A charge of lesbianism would be MILD compared to what's actually "on the books".. Accusers of the brethren Enablers of a SERIAL "rapist".. dividers and destroyers of friends and families.. the list could go on and on. Their "reputation" isn't worth a pile of dung.
  16. Naw, Ala, tell us how you really feel! :D--> Yep.. "I" did it, "I" taught, "MY" knowledge.. Tim's description is probably pretty accurate thought- "sometimes it is a BUMMER". From the vocabulary of the sixties and early seventies, what he is saying, is sometimes ole "doc's" "medicine" results in a BAD TRIP.
  17. Heh heh heh. I actually liked that series, the longest running sci fi show, I think.. Now we just have to figure out who to cast as The Doctor's arch enemy, "The Master". Maybe Ted Patrick. Naw, not smart enough..
  18. I guess if you end up choking on the sea water, don't complain. Results not guaranteed. "But we DID give you da verd!"
  19. Yep, we were in it together, were we not..
  20. I think I met him. relative of an upper up in der vey I think.. couldn't stomach "leadership" even back in the good old days.. only took a short two years after this living in love lifestyle stuff..
  21. Ah, what a "bargain". NOW tell me what that diploma is worth.. Ten to fifteen YEARS? I should have run away when I heard these kinds of claims.. Now if they said, "we heap ten to fifteen years of ABUSE into two short years (besides interim years)" it probably would be a little closer to the truth.
  22. One thing I learned in the last few years, is how to look at it from the other guy's point of view. Sometimes its pretty valid. They might say, "listening to YOU, makes me feel like the four gospels were never written". True at one time. :)-->
