  1. I like to think of SOWERS as being a sort of tobacco industry equivalent for the bible carrying crowd. For years, the tobacco industry knew of the dangers of cigarette smoking but they made a concerted effort to downplay and even conceal those dangers from the consuming public. Now, thanks to educational efforts, tobacco sales and use have plummeted in developed countries. So, what does the tobacco industry do to bolster its bottom line? It targets a new, more vulnerable audience in the third world. It's taking a heavy toll on the people and the economies of said countries. Just like the tobacco industry must certainly know the dangers of the product it's promoting, SOWERS must certainly be aware of the tragic history and defective characteristics of its current product. So, what do they do? Target a new, unsuspecting sector of the religious market. This approach seems to be more successful than the antiquated business model its predecessor continues to follow.
  2. Ah, give the poor guy a break. I mean, what with him being our fodder in da woid and all that jazz. Heck, he even knew how to make snow explode 'cause Gawd talked to him like eatin' cookies out of the cookie jar.... er sumptin. Dats Riiiiight!
  3. I think his point was to try to compare what we did in a "non-profit" cult to something being done in an upscale, "for profit" establishment. You know, like when people try to compare V.PeePee to David or Paul or somebody else who resembled him in no way that was relevant other than sharing the same gender. Or when they try to compare our life in the TWI commune to something that happened 2,000 freakin' years ago, in a totally different culture, under totally different circumstances....but I could be wrong...What sayest thou, John?
  4. Baby It's You If you wear red tonight, remember what I said tonight.

  6. "There's as much learning in hitch hiking violating The Mann Act as there is in studying Genesis".....VPP My link
  7. If they're gonna break THOSE laws, why not just go all out and break The Mann Act of 1910 like Grand-Daddy VPP did?

  9. John, this stuff shows up on my FB page. Personally, I have no desire to discuss alternative uses for fig pep.
  10. Sure, but, CFF is not SOWERS. Intertwined with common relationships but independent of each other. I can remember when General motors came out with a car called NOVA. It was an acronym. N=Nova (Chevy) O=Omega (Oldsmobile) V=Ventura (Pontiac) A=Apollo (Buick) Same basic car but, minor differences in headlights, grills, etc. That's how I see the relationship between TWI and SOWERS. Minor cosmetic differences but, the same basic vehicle with VPW serving as the common powertrain for both. Side note: In Spanish, "no va" means "it doesn't go". It's no surprise it flopped in Mexico. Maybe SOWERS will flop, too, when the participants finally realize it's nothing more than a dressed up clone of a corrupt and evil organization. (It doesn't go.) Edit: According to SNOPES, the "no go" anecdote is an urban legend. So, I apologize for that bit of misleading information. However, I still think it's only a matter of time before SOWERS starts to see the inherent problems associated with the TWI programs they're cloning.
  11. ....or maybe they're silent partners, colluding to keeping the MLM cash cow alive?
  12. Another perfect example of someone hell-bent on keeping the torch lit.

  14. You make a good point... What did it really accomplish? (Aside from creating an illusion that any of it made a difference.)

Maybe CG was thinking no one would ever get past the first 7,300 pages or something, ya know?

I'm not sure how anyone can read The Passing of the Patriarch (AKA: The Poop Paper) and still believe any of this stuff was ever real. Come to think of it, I'm not sure how anyone can read The Poop Paper in its entirety....period
  17. No More Mr. Nice Guy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9QadtkT8fVw I can't wait forever, even though you want me to.
  18. Maybe V2P2 should check out one on youtube.
  19. Wierwille was very much aware of what was going on with the LEAD program. He knew that lives were being devastated and destroyed but, he let the program continue. This is the same guy who boasted of "reaching up in Daddy's cookie jar" and "listening to that small still voice". He was a charlatan, a quack, a con man. Still, there are people who continue to promote him as some sort of spiritual guru. Shame on them.
  20. Maybe that's because, with each passing year, the list of cuckold husbands and dishonored fathers grew larger and larger.
