But, why would he say these things in front of an entire group of people?

When you were still in The Way, did you ever try to purposely go without speaking in tongues for a serious length of time? It's amazing. You start to actually think for yourself and question the hallowed truths of Wayville.

Wayfers feel that the only way to communicate with God directly, is to speak in tongues. (sessions 11 & 12 of PFAL) Therefore, for them to stop speaking in tongues is equivalent to being lost in the wilderness-----naked.

It doesn't speak well of his credibility regarding "spiritual perception", does it?
