  1. I'm a GENIUS. I found da' link! Enjoy. BUT, the text of the pdf by Ralph that I posted from my personal files is cut off on the link above. I don't know why. I forgot how much info is in there from Dave Anderson and Evan Pyle, et al.
  2. Hi all, I used to be fairly active on Waydale. I stop in here occasionally for "gossip." Rarely post. These last couple of visits I just have to as I find it unbelievable that these folks are still involved. I took PFAL in '74, first ROA in '74. 10th Corpse, left in Oct. 1986 in that first major exodus. Interim year at HQ. This excerpt in toto is by Ralph and is from a thread I started in Waydale called "TWI I, II, and III." I believe it was one of the most illuminating threads ever because Ralph was involved as well as Dave Anderson. I think he summed it up well. I also do not believe Wierwille ever expected the growth that he got, but, let's face it: they used cutting edge media materials back then for the class. I have my own views on all this, but I also see that the later folks, those who did not get involved until the 80's or later seem to have missed a time when the Ministry was actually fun and healing. A lot of this info, and it's mutation into a cult, to paraphrase Ralph, is in that old thread mentioned above. I thought I found it many moons ago in the Waydale archives somewhere but had to look a bit for it. Some of you might find it useful. Here is the pdf of Ralph's take on it. I hope it sheds some light for you. January 2000. RalphDubofskySummation.pdf
  3. I just saw this thread and the one with the Corpse confrontation letter to the BOD. Gee whiz. How sad. First, to see names of folks I knew back then and liked. Then, that they are still in. My, oh my. Just awful. I don't usually post, but I had to on this one. PFAL in '74, 10th corpse, left in Oct., '86. Still can't quite shake all the crap we saw and got put through. Those folks have to be dead to everything.
  4. Dear Mary, I have never seen where it is OK to seek after this type of experience...sounds like a Rodney Howard-Browne meeting: out of control laughter, howling, animal sounds, drunkeness, crouching in a birth position to "give birth to something in the heavenlies." These are not mentioned as manifestations of the Spirit. Paul was not slain, he was blinded and fell off his horse, but was in control of himself as best as he could be...Paul was a chosen vessel to the Lord and this is a special record of what happened to him. It is not doctrine. I have a friend, newly into the Word (3 years), and she LOVES Howard-Browne. Unfortunately, she does not discern things too well even in her personal life, or with regards to worldly matters...she is gullible, and seeks after emotional experiences to supplement her Biblical studies. Here is a link to Howard-Browne, though I do not know if that is where your husband was, it sounds eerily familiar to his meetings. You can also do a google on him. http://www.apologeticsindex.org/h00.html#howardb And one on Slain in the Spirit to help you get moving. http://www.apologeticsindex.org/s00.html#slain Lots from a Google search, too. I can see why your husband was upset....I've heard it said that it is like a zoo at these meetings, and they coerce you to stay and take part. If I were your husband I would never go back. Good Luck, Rob
  5. Well, Thanks ,ChasUFarley, et al. But that link takes me nowhere. It's probably somewhere, and someone will find it. Maybe Paw????? Thanks again, Rob Oh, and Chas, the reason I don't pop in here much anymore is that this forum seems to be people from the late 80's up through the late 90's and early 00's. I started in 1974 and left in 1986. I just can't relate too much to what went on under LCM, and for that, I am grateful. So glad I left when I did. And I still have too much I'd like to forget, but then that would mean forgetting about some of the good times and folks, also. (did I use "also" correctly? Remember that one? I hope used it incorrectly!)
  6. Hey there, ex10, Thanks for the tip. Rob
  7. Hey folks, I am befuddled. I cannot find the entire thread I started in 2000 on Waydale entitled "TWI 1, 2, and 3." Can someone tell me where to find it? I found about 1/4 of the thread but the rest of it got cut off. There is so much history there, and I wanted to link someone up to it so they could read it. Any ideas on this? Please don't tell me it got lost. Thanks, Rob
  8. I think he is in NY or NJ and is a Nurse.
  9. Hey Hal, Rob Agsten here. What chu' doin', boy? How's Nancy? Last time I saw you was Corpse Week 1986? or 1985?. We were eating "dinner", and your youngest slid off a chair seat, went under the table, banged his body and head on the table as he went down , and you just sat there, calmly, and watched it happen. Slip, bumpity bumpity bumpity bump bump bump wham! Then, you leaned under the table, picked him up off the grass, and helped him back onto the seat. I looked at you and said, "Hal? You just watched! You didn't try and stop him!" To which you replied, " Nah. Third kid." Howdy again to you, too, Cynic. Rob
  10. As I recall, about 20 years ago a bunch of us Corpse tried to change things, thought we could change things, wanted to change things, but shoot, we didn't realize that the Big Dogs didn't want to change. So, myself and George and thousands of others had no choice....we left after giving it our best shot, and hoping it would work. Besides, it wasn't fun being dominated by Pharisee types and all. I'd rather work under Tony Supranos.
  11. Great guy...in my Corpse...da tents...but I ain't gotta clue to his 20.
  12. I have three recurring dreams: 1. I am back in Prep school at my curent age (over 50, barely), and I have to take more classes there for a year, but I already have two engineering degrees (true) and a business (true), and I am back there again. 2. I am working for my old employer- it was an architectural- engineering sweat shop, and the boss was mean at times. Again- I have my own business and haven't worked there for 15 years. 3. I am back in the Way Corps- usually at HQ. I call these dreams anxiety dreams- usually when they pop up (just one of them once every year or two) I am under a lot of stress and anxious. Now if I have these dreams I just leave! I look at the employer, or Teachers at the school, or WayCorpse leadership and I tell them that "this is baloney. This is a dream, and you don't have any authority over me anylonger, it's really laughable. I am leaving when I want to....see ya!" Once in a Corps dream, and I knew it was a dream, I hung around to see if I could see some folks I had not seen since the days from 1974 to 1986. And I did! Then I left. And that's what I do in all of them now...I know it's a dream, and I leave when I want. I wish I could describe the shock and jawdropping whan I tell these dream figures that they are full of &$*#. 13. Gee whiz.....!!!! Half of the original thread is missing....Ralph got cut off in midstream. That was about the halfway point.
  14. Merry Christmas, too (Bullinger NOT), to you and yours, Ex.
  15. Oh yeah, I am gettting reproved! Ya know, it's been so long since that kind of love has been shown to me, and, as excorpse, I didn't realize what the healthy kind is like. Thanks, Ex. Mmmmmmwhahhh!
  16. That was not a sincere apology....I like confusion. Mmmmmmmmmmmwhahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
  17. This is engine, not Ham...I was just trying to sneak up on Ex and give her a kiss. Sorry for da' confusion.
  18. Ex, I thought that was 5 tracks in the sand! From one of them He-Men types, ya know, like the Nephilim that was destroyed because they were nihilists.
  19. Here I am, Ex! mmmmmmwahhhhh
  20. Look at the results of this decision: people left and der Weg took a big hit financially. Maybe it was revelation...just not with LCM's desired results. Heh
  21. I spoke with Chip about ten years ago. He was history Professor at James Madison Univ. in Virginia. He may have moved on since then. He was married, and they had twin girls. He really loved history, and his family, and was also active in the Presbyterian church there. He could not believe that I had not been able to put the BS of the way behind me as of 1995, and I left in 1986. Remember, Cynic, he was good on that there BBall court at South Charleston.
  22. If God did not intend for us to eat animals then why did he make them out of meat?
  23. I have been watching you guys slack off lately in keeping this thread moving. Where is your Kork Spritz? Ex is the only one who is not sleeping at the swish.
  24. I agree wit alfakat on the legacy of Vic. When we die Vic's legacy goes down into the ground and gets buried...he will be an unknown. He wasn't a Paul, or a Peter, or a Luther, or Wesley, or Calvin, or anywhere near those men. He ain't even near this generation's Oral Roberts or Derek Prince or Kenneth Copeland. And the Bible he taught was far from error free. Far from it. And may I add the Raf and Jerry have done a lot good work in the arena of Piffle.
  25. Nandon, May I suggest reading the Sunday paper on the Pope for a good starting point on what he did. That should give ya' some info. to help git dem Waybrain away from ya'. Rob
