  1. We just need to find her nest. Kill the eggs before they hatch . . .
  2. Genesis is what the museum is based on. It shows that all the phenomena in the world fit with it. You were the one who want to discuss isotope dating?
  3. As far as I remember, Don W, was replaced by Rosie. (I guess because he was sick, but that was hush-hush) later, lcm got busted, Rosie, the VP, was made Pres by default.
  4. They still worship the dead guy. Yep. Sure do.
  5. Wow. That's a deep, logical, convincing statement you got there. So you make decisions based on a point system? Actually Garth, I still like the old saying: http://www.actionbioscience.org/evolution/nhmag.html Vestigial Organs are an interesting topic: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vestigial_structure
  6. Maybe there is confusion as to which John J. we're talking about: http://www.carolinajournal.com/jhdailyjour...al.html?id=1800 (Maybe not funny) P.S. Thank you Dr. Juedes for your website.
  7. How about running around thinking its okay to openly tell Catholics that the Pope is stupid. Or that "My parents love me more than your parents love you because mine don't lie to me about Santa Clauss." Yes, lost a few friendship opportunities.
  8. And yet Garth, you fail to bring forth evidence to support evolution. If you are making the statement "All life on earth evolved from a common ancestor", evidence please. Otherwise, you've discredited yourself. You are making assertion that evolution is true. You need to back it up with facts.
  9. cool video. Notice how the zebras typically only hang out with other zebras, even though they could hang out with other horse-types. BTW, mules, (horse + donkey) usually are sterile, but that's not always the case. Probably true with the Zorse. Camas, (camel + llama) have viable offspring (they can reproduce). Which I think is more surprising. This hybrid stuff was just one corner of one room in the museum. But its a lot to chew on.
  10. How does your wife explain it?
  11. I just got out of class (I'm a grad student). My prof just spent several minutes emphasizing to prove information to yourself. He said don't ever assume a piece of scientific literature to be fact, not even if it has been peer-reviewed. He says he's found a lot of peer-reveiwed works in chemistry journals which turn out to be incorrect. He's even taken journal articles and turned them into homework assignments for his students. His students would find issues with the assignment, and it turned out it was because of serious errors in the experiment the article described. Scientists are people and are prone to the same errors as anyone else. (Note: this class has nothing to do with evolution) I bring this up because it was argued on another thread that evolution is proven with literature under peer-review, and that creation-scientists are not credible because their work is not peer-reviewed by "real scientists". Peer-review may give an article more credibility, but it is no guarantee, and should never be simply accepted. For me to simply accept something, even gravity, without careful study and consideration, would go against my scientific training. It takes a lot work to become convinced of something. Just because the scientist next to me is convinced, doesn't mean I should be.
  12. Imitating helps us learn. Imitating twi leadership turned me into something I do not like. We need to be mindful of what and who we imitate.
  13. Hey I watch Veggie Tales for my own benefit. (I missed a few good lessons being raised in twi)
  14. Ostriches evolved from another bird millions of years ago. Their ancestors flew high in the sky, seeing the whole picture. One day, some of the birds decided that there was more to see underground. So they flew down and stuck their heads in holes. They couldn't find what they were looking for but thought they shouldn't give up, that would be a sign of weakness. They even stopped associating with the other birds that stayed in the sky. The birds that stuck their heads in the ground began to venerate those who could keep their heads underground the longest. These birds would be given "Double honor" and more mating rights. As generations passed the competition intensified. Those birds who couldn't keep their heads underground long enough (according the the standard) were given one warning, then thrown to the crocodiles. As time went on the ostriches developed adaptations which allowed them to seek where the prize couldn't be found. But they pressed for the mark, raising their offspring in the way that they should go. Today, these bird's descendants are the ostriches we know (gnosko) and love (agape).
  15. For some people, if the Genesis account is wrong, the whole Bible is wrong. For me, I've looked at evolution evidence for years and just don't see anything that makes it clearly true. Something is missing, which means new, and important, discoveries await. That's exciting. But I think to many are thinking in a box. The creationists are the only real challengers of the current theories I'm aware of. ------------------- I was thinking about hybrids. It turns out many hybrid animals are larger than their parent species. The largest cats are crosses of lions and tigers. The fossil record shows many types of animals we know, but bigger. (Giant beaver, giant camels, mastodons, giant sloths etc.) The Genesis record I think spoke of giants, maybe large animals (can anyone verify?) I think this was mentioned in "The Two Babylons" ---------------------- Neanderthals are believed to have had music and art. Sounds human to me. I was reading on another forum, one guy pointed out that considering Neanderthals and Cro-Magnon man seperate species is of form of racism. (The evolutionists argued vehemently of course). Just some thoughts.
  16. I thought about bringing the Quantum Revolution up. Yes Garth, I could show you some of the math for quantum chemistry I've had to do. It's solution is complicated but the end result much simpler. I'm not taking about "Keep it simple stupid" Garth. I'm taking about the beauty behind nature. What do mean "nice try"? If you want to "keep it real", quit going off-topic. I was bringing up hybrids and soft-tissues found in fossils.
  17. Law of Believing = complicated Faith = Simple Evolution Theory = complicated creation theory = simple simple does not = dumb, or = lazy F = m*a is simple , does that make it lazy? If you don't like biology, don't read the thread. A big statement in biology is "Form follows function". Yet one of the original arguments for evolution was vestigial organs. However, this is one argument that not only complicates the "Form follows function" idea with vestigial organs, but most vestigial organs turn out not to be vestigial organs at all.
  18. 1. The Bible has nothing to do with twi 2. twi teaches in practice for the wife to submit to her Department Coordinator. The husband is an accessory.

    I'm new

True, true, true and true. Persuasion usually doesn't work with "innies". You gotta wait till they see it for themselves. Which I assume happens sooner or later for most. Nice to meet you katy.
  20. http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/20..._dinomummy.html Link to a mummified dinosaur. More links follow the article. IMO - what the creationists present is just simpler than current theories. Fossils come from animals killed in the Flood, or continent divide, thousands of years ago, not millions, and not due to random coincidental incidents.
  21. http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/20...ino_tissue.html Does this get nobody's attention? These are facts. There are plenty of facts to challenge today's thinking. (unless of course National Geographic is considered a creationist magazine)
  22. If you put "IT" next to Christ, they should cancel out.
