  1. 1. Yes, Jafin. The Lord Jesus is God and He is part of the Trinity. The Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. I started out in the trinity camp, left when I went into Stalag TWI, and when the Lord Jesus brought me out of it, He very much informed me of HIS DEITY. I no longer question this point anymore. 2. First of all, TWI had it all wrong. The Scriptures, 1 Thess 5:23 place it in the correct order. It should be SPIRIT, SOUL AND THEN BODY. 3. SIT is legitimate. It is a form of pure worship, praise, prayer or anything that the Holy Spirit needs for you to do, etc. He is the One who is now comforting, teaching, exhorting etc etc. 4. You should experience both. There is no particular order. I was raised RC and so I received water baptism at 4 years old. My Mom returned at that time. At 6 years, I received the Holy Spirit baptism and sang in tongues. Didn't know what it was and surely no one in the RC church was teaching about this at the time. The RC's didn't have a HS reformation until late 60's and early 70's. I didn't experience SIT again until the session 12 of PFAL. After I left TWI the Lord eventually led me to be re-baptized, for what this symbolizes is your intention to follow the Lord Jesus Christ for the remainder of your life. It is a public proclamation and it also symbolized your personal crossing of the Red Sea and the enemies being left behind as you come out of Egypt. 5. Yes and NO. We are to proclaim what we ask for, but what we ask for should Glorify the Heavenly Father. This is not so that you can get a new Caddy. 6. The nature of ministry is whatever the Holy Spirit will have you do at any particular time. I have come to find out, ministry is not an office per se, but it is a Way of Life. 7. Prayer is your personal tete a tete with the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Don't you have conversations with your Father and/or Mother? This is your bonding and growth of this relationship. 8. He may have started out fine, but took a wrong turn somewhere, most likey with pride. I believe when he started stumbling with sexual sins, (time?) he eventually blocked out the Lord Jesus Christ and this is why he rejected the Trinity and also said we should not pray to the Lord Jesus. Most likely, the Lord Jesus was putting heavy conviction upon him and he was rejecting it and didn't want to repent and the rest is history. 9. It depends if what they are saying is Biblical or not. I believe VPW ex-communicated people, because they were speaking the WORD of GOD to him and he didn't want to repent. Therefore, get them out of your life and you don't have to deal with the repentance. 10. Aahhh. One place, he still had right and that not by himself. Look indeed at Romans 10:9-10...CONFESS THE LORD JESUS as CHRIST and believe indeed that the Heavenly Father has RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD. 11. I believe that heaven is the end result. The Scriptures affirm that the Lord is faithful and is working on each and every one of us. If somehow we miss it it will be because we reject his workmanship upon us. I have come to the conclusion (could change as the HS leads) that our SPIRITS are saved, and our SOULS are being saved and our BODIES will be saved. 12. Rapture? Still struggling with that one. I used to be a die-hard pre-millennialist, and now ... Amillennialism sometimes has a lot to say and so does pre-wrath....we might just have to wait until it is upon us. Hope this helps in some measure. Blessings upon you in your search for the Lord Jesus. The Scriptures adjure us to seek him while he may be found.
  2. No, I'm not a nun and yes, I do belong to Israel. Anyone who claims that the Lord Yeshua is their God and King should be acknowledging this as well. The Scriptures are clear in Romans that we have been grafted into the common stock of Israel. VPW was grossly wrong on that point, trying to assert that Christians are different. We are not, the Lord has melded us into HIS Tribe of Judah. Also, see Revelation 19..."The bride has made herself ready..."
  3. Salt to your taste though. As I said, potatoes absorb your salt, so sometimes it might seem you have to use a lot to get any flavor. But this is not a pancake, ...I think the translation of Kugeli is basically "potato pudding" that is baked. Hi Pond, yes, I make potatoe PANA CAKES (Grandmas pronunciation) too and yes I use left over mashed potatoes. Hi Outfield, yes you can half it, because it does make a lot. I always make the full recipe and freeze the other loaf for later. Kugeli takes a lot of elbow grease as well as bacon grease LOL sooooo, to save myself time and energy, I always make the full load. I hope you all enjoy, I sure have and thankful I grew up on it. This was the poor immigrants way of surviving and feeding large families. Hope you all have a great day today.
  4. God didn't really want them to have any other king but Him in all reality, but they wanted to be like the nations around them, who had kings and so God gave them over to their own desires. Blessings
  5. Not, if you boil them first you won't be able to grate them. I guess you could puree them in the blender, but you would have to use your cup of milk for the liquid. Probably more. When you grate them first, yes you're getting starch, but it also produces a lot of liquid which allows for the potatoe to basically cook in the loaf pan while it is evaporating as well. But I guess it would be ok, if you do it, let me know what consistency it turns out to be. It might end up being very dry; because there really is a lot of water in the potatoes, even if we don't think there isn't. If yoou do it, watch your cooking time and see if it is done at 30 minutes & then 45, using the knife test which should come out clean. I've never tried it before so you'll have to experiment with it first. I've been making it the way my great grandma made it and on down the family line for so long, I'm kind of picky when it comes to how I process the potatoe first., I know I've eaten other Lith's kugele and knew they used the "grate" function on their blender and the potatoe comes out much coarser than when you do it manually with a wire mesh grater. It's a lot of work doing it manually, but to me it's worth it. Blessings
  6. Hi Chas: It's really not all that bad....REALLY! 1 slice will do you, so if you do the math, you can get about 12 slives per loaf pan and this recipe makes two loaf pans = 24 slices and there's only 8 eggs, so each breakfast is only about 1/3 of an egg SEE???? It's not bad at all. Hope you try it.
  7. Amen to that! The wonderful aspect of it all, is that the Lord's wisdom is unfathomable and therefore I do believe, we will always feel like we are only just beginning to know the HOLY ONE. After leaving TWI, this is when the path to the beginning of knowledge began. TWI was like being in kindergarten but new vistas keep opening up for anyone who dares to follow the Lord Jesus Christ. Hope you all have a Great 2008, the year of New Beginnings.
  8. Since my primary heritage is that of Lithuania, I grew up on Kugele which is a potato dish, that if you make it dry enough you could slice it and take it with you on the go, kind of a fast food recipe from ancient days. So I thought I'd share it with you all. Hope you try it, it is good right out of the oven, steaming hot... but my favorite is the next morning fried in bacon grease. KUGELI 8-10 Large Potatoes (depends on family size) 8 slices Bacon, fried and crumbled 1 cup hot milk 8 Eggs, beaten 1 Large onion, chopped Salt to taste (Note: potatoes absorb salt, you might have to use more) Garlic Pepper Bacon Grease Grate (best if manually done, you get a finer mush) potatoes into bowl, you may salt as you go to keep mush white, add fried bacon, milk, onion and beaten eggs. Add spices and the bacon grease. Mix well, pour into greased loaf pans - this usually makes two loaves. You can freeze one for later. Bake in 350 degrees for 1 hour or until knife comes out clean. Hint: Next morning....fry your eggs, bacon and Kugeli, Yum Yum.
  9. It's your choice of course where you go, but it doesn't seem like this is a Christian place. It sounds more like a Universalist type place which if you're not Christian is a great place to go  I know I attended one in my area just to see what it was all about and there is not any allegiance to the Lord Jesus Christ and they believe that all roads are going to heaven or nirvana or whatever etc etc. Since I am Christian, there is only one way to the Holy Father, and that is through his Holy Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Hope you see the light....metaphysics is an open door for the wrong type of spirituality. Of course, to those who aren't Christian on this forum they won't get the point either...
  10. Chuck Pierce has some wonderful things to say from the Lord. I like a lot what he has to say. He is a blessing to the body of Christ, to be sure.
  11. What do you mean about etiquette, that confuses me a tad bit. LOL

  12. Your add on is what I reply to - "The end of an error..." really belongs to TWI! LOL Your signature line is a hoot! Amen to that! OMG!
  13. Hello all! I was in TWI from 1979 to 1987. I was a regular at Waydale with the same name of Brideofjc, but then I stopped posting for a number of years to finish my education. Had to make my choices. The Lord Yeshua led me through a wonderful path away from TWI into mainstream Christianity again...it seems funny that life is rather circular, isn't it? It must be that time in my life when all things are converging and I'm getting a chance to do them again, so to speak. For instance I went to my elementary school (name hidden), and then the Lord had me go back and teach there as a sub. Other things kept coming back around in the circle and it became quite phenomenal. My moniker? I belong in the Charismatic side of the church that is open to visions and dreams from the Lord Yeshua...and the Lord gave me three visions over about six? months...the first, He visited me (very overwhelming, just like John, I fell down, couldn't stand up); the second, He served me communion on Passover (Easter); third, I saw His hands in a vision and He put His ring on my ring finger and then I put a ring on His ring finger. Hence, Brideofjc! Some people think that I am a nun, but I'm not. I was raised RC and I did want to be one as a little girl but that didn't happen. So, I became a priest instead. :) Anywho, when GS first opened up, I think I began to post here too, but then left again. Now I'm back...it is addictive, isn't it? Sometimes, it's just nice to be able to talk to people who have been through similar paths in life. You don't have to explain yourself...because everyone already understands.
  14. I would have to disagree with that statement. Whether you are telling an author or a newspaper reporter, you are still giving your first person report of the event even though someone else is writing the article. Have a Blessed Christmas!
  15. I need to know if anyone knows how to write an HTML code to cause the message, "web page expired" if you try to back up your browser?
  16. "This would be the end of Christianity as we know it..." which in my opinion is exactly what the author would wish. In order to swallow this heresy, one must throw aside every Word of the Lord God Most High. They must ascribe that the Lord Jesus was just a MAN and only a MAN and not the SON OF GOD which the Gospel of John clearly states. John was fighting against gnosticism that was creeping into the church, which coincidentally didn't believe that Jesus died, nor was there a need for a resurrection. This is nothing more than another form of the same gnosticism that is still trying to invade the church. The Scriptures are clear that Joseph and Mary fled to Egypt to escape the terror of Herod in his attempt to kill the Lord Jesus when he was approximately 18-24 months old. Do not the Scriptures attest that the Lord God Most High stated "I will call my son out of Egypt?" It does not say "India" and the Scriptures all lay first person witnesses to the transfiguration, the crucifixion, the resurrection and the Lord meeting His disciples in His new body which was now spiritual. There were over 500 first person witnesses to His ascension as well. Write this off as HERESY! Where's the spittoon? I need to spit... Maybe perhaps I should ask for the barf bag!
  17. Thank you for your comment on my profile.

  18. I know that there are many diehards, especially older fundamentalists that would sooner grab their shotgun if you tried to tell them that the Apostle Paul didn't write Hebrews. After all, he was of the tribe of Benjamin and whether or not he was in the Sanhedrin, even as a junion member, he was certainly associating with them. Although not a Levite, he was a trained Pharisee and knew the laws of Moses well and all that was required for temple service. Albeit, we do know that the writer is writing to the tribes dispersed in the diaspora and indeed they are very familiar with temple rituals. Paul's family was part of the diaspora and so he was born in Tarsus outside of the homeland. Do I think he wrote it? I used to, but the evidence is pretty clear that he didn't unless he changed his writing style significantly or he indeed had an emanuensis who penned Paul's words in his own writing style. Unless they did up other papyrii that will change the scholar's minds, I wouldn't lay any bets on Paul being the auther. However, if it causes arguments in the body of Christ to say that Paul didn't write Hebrews, either be quiet or try to gently teach them that most likely he didn't. Do I think that Priscilla wrote it? She was highly thought of in the church obviously, because they put her name first in almost every mention of her and her husband Aquila, which just wasn't done in those days. This tells us that she must have been educated, most likely wealthy and probably a leader or host of a home church in her city. It just might turn up one day in the archealogical finds, God loves to throw curve balls to those who view themselves as debunkers. As I posted before, God always has the last laugh. Do I think having the author remain unknow invalidates what s/he had to say? NO! There is much to be learned in the book. Bless you much.
  19. The main voice that we should all strive to "HEAR"is that of the Living Lord God. To be true there are many voices out there besides God's; such as His enemy who strives to continually lead us away from Him. If by hearing the "dead" 2027 you mean via their words that they spoke while living, then yes, we can hear that indeed. However, even five years ago I would have laughed to scorn if someone and sometimes they did, told me that the dead could say goodbye etc... well, with TWI dupetrines (sp is correct ) well you know, after all "Are the dead alive now?" The answer to that question, of course, "Yes, if they left their way-brains behind." But back to the topic...When my Mother passed away, I had seen her earlier that day and I thank God that I stayed with her when my sister needed to go shopping. Because as it turned out, it was the last time that I got to see her. I went to bed and after speaking with the Lord Yeshua, I suddenly felt a big hug and a very clear voice say, "I love you!" At the time, I thought it was the Lord Yeshua reassuring me of His love for me. Several hours later I was awakened by the phone ringing to hear the news from my sister, "Mom is gone! She must have died around 10-11 p.m." After the initial shock and after I began to make the necessary phone calls to other family members, I then realized that it was not the Lord Yeshua telling me that He loved me (He does, of course and He tells me often), but that it was my Mom's way of telling me goodbye as her angel was escorting her to heaven. That has been a comfort to me still, to know that we can say goodbye to our loved ones before we go to rest in the Lord. So, yes, there are many voices in the night and I'm glad that I heard my Mothers' last wordsl. It's comforting to know that I will see her again some day. Bless you for starting this thread.
  20. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving and all of the trimmings. Hopefully, you will have some time pretty soon. Do you have the capability of voice to text on your computer? If not, you should look into either buying the program or upgrading your older computer to Vista Home Premium. I saw something on there that said something about voice to text. This would help you greatly. Blessings
  21. In the first testamental period, there were two people that had the Holy Spirit, i.e. The King and The Prophet. So both were God's ministers to do good to the people and to teach God's laws so that God could bless the nation.
